- According to Urban Dictionary, "yeet" means to discard an item at a high velocity - which is exactly what the Model YC9 YEET Cannon from Hi-Point does. The YC9 lineup is a redesign of their classic 9mm. Tune in to see what Roy has to say to the naysayers.

#9mm - Sport
I'd respect the person that has a Hi-Point and 10,000 rounds a year of training more than the Kimber collector that shoots one box of ammo once a year.
Well said. I see that all the time … Roy
What a refreshingly non-biased and sensible review. I'm sold, getting one for the car 💯
I appreciate your comment. And they make great car guns! Roy
have a 9mm carbine flawless accurate and fun 1000+ rounds
And you can use it as a boat anchor too No I think they're pretty good and reliable for what they are And Life time warranty you can't beat it
Around the weight of 1911?
I was seriously thinking more on the line, a kayak anchor..

Have two of the older Yeet Cannon G1's, one with a threaded barrel. I wanted to say "...a brace of the older Yeet Cannon G2's" but didn't want to sound pretentious. The only thing that might worry me about these pistols is their durability in sequential mafia-style pistol whippings. They'd probably hold up OK and their weight and surface area would surely be an advantage. The guns themselves have plenty of meplat.
Meplat is right. You could certainly beat someone to death with one if you need to! I like the Brace idea …. Roy
Im an unashamed fan. From an engineerinf perspective, does what it is intended to do.
Agreed, Jeff. Like a stout wrench, it turns the bolts as needed! Roy
First, I like cheap things, not cheaply made, but cheap in price. Even though I don't own a hi-point, I won't dogg em. A lot of times, I'll buy the underdog just to see for myself. I really don't "need" a new gun, but the new hi-points have caught my eye.. My church buddy bought the hi-point 40, sight unseen from Academy Sports with the laser lite for $300 and when he got home, it amazed him how heavy it was, he's kinda afraid to shoot it..
Ever review you put out, I watch em. You always tell how it is..
Thanks for your kind words Mark. Tell your friend to shoot his gun! They’re heavy since they are straight blow-back so need the slide weight to counter recoil. Roy
I like the honesty of your review.... Good video!!
Thanks Hombre! I just tell it like it happens. Roy
Better than a strongly worded email.
Okay, that’s funny. And so true … Roy
The key board warriors always trash High Point pistols. A nice and fair review. You are right, a great gun for around the ranch.
I know … most who nay-say them have never even fired one! Roy
as a warrior, I spell it "keyboard" (but so does everyone else)
I prefer the older version probably because i have the C9 and like it. I think they are nice looking.
Thank you sir,, As you and I know from past careers, some who live in high crime areas can't afford the latest and greatest firearms. Those people need something to protect themselves at close range at a price point that allows for some training and practice ammo. Stay Safe & Enjoy Everything
You’re exactly right, Steve. Roy
@@fmgpubs WHO is this Roy character who is the ONLY OTHER person to reply?
I think ALL these comments but my own are either from Roy or other hi-point employees
No Hi-Point … it’s just me, Roy. I like to keep a good eye on the comments since I feel like I know you guys! Roy @@feliksdz4208
They have taken their profits and actually pumped them back into the company's R&D...affordable defense for the masses.
Can't believe hipoint added a grip safety. One of the least liked traits of the XD. And George thought the P15 needed one too(which it didn't).
I have to say, though, this one works effortlessly and 100 percent of the time. Roy
Appreciate.
You bet George. Roy
One man's ugly is another man's masterpiece.
Beauty is in the eye, etc. ain’t it? Roy
Grip safety 0.0
I have an older C9 thats enhanced. Nothing says Sexy more than a man carrying a C9 enhanced with white skull grips 😂. It functions well & they are more accurate than some pistols costing 2x their price. Thanks. 🙏👍🎯
That’s what I’m talking about … Make sure you check out the “custom” Hi-Powers on their website. I’ve even seen them engraved. Not sure I’d go that far though …. Roy
@@fmgpubsI did have the Boa grips but I love the Skull 💀 grips. I tried the Aperature rear sight but wasn't good for me. Does well out to 25yds with the 3 dot. 👍 I'm tempted with the 10mm or the Yeet with newer features. 🙈😱
@@fmgpubsA lot of people don't know they own Inland & Barnaul Ammunition also. Or that Beretta owns the Raug ammo divisions.
I did a video on the 10mm not long ago so check it out if you haven’t. It was accurate just like all of them are. Roy@@billdye3530
There’s a lotta’ that in the industry. Vista owns RCBS, Remington ammo, Hoppes, etc. Roy@@billdye3530
I heard these jam and double , triple feed ammo and the magazine also nose dives the ammo so this new Hi-Point has all the things that suck on the old C-9 Hi-Point . So I’ve has 3 of the older C-9 pistols and everyone of them has all the bad things about them jam, double feed and ammo nose dive so I call BS ! On all you guys who claim that your Hi-Point runs flawlessly ! I do not believe you at all ! Now every guy I know that has had one of these pistols say the exact same thing that I say ! They suck when it comes to running without any problems !! I love guns that are inexpensive and I don’t think the C-9 is ugly at all and I like the looks of this new one but dam it Hi-Point fix the problems I have mentioned and you would have a pistol that would sell 5 times better then it does now ! Heck I’d buy more than a few and I’d buy every caliber they come in to ! The pistol working even 90% of the time isn’t good enough to buy one of these but if you get the reliability up to around what Glock and Sig are , well you wouldn’t be able to keep up with demand !
I think much of the issue is the fact most people who buy Hi-Points are brand new gun owners or simply don’t have much experience. They don’t know how to clean and lube it (they tend to run them dry), don’t understand about a firm firing grip and stance and tend to use crappy range reloads. With a clean, lubed gun, good ammo and a correct firing grip and stance, the ones I’ve tested seem to run just fine. Roy
Hmmmm. Steel core slide with lighter zinc surrounding it. That is unique and proven apparently.
That’s what I thought too. Most just use the casting. It’s also a zinc alloy so is stronger. Roy
The Sig P365 has a stainless steel slide, treated with a black Nitron finish, and a stainless steel frame along with a polymer grip module. No steel core crap surrounded by zinc for christ sake.

As you said, you get what you pay for. I’ve had plenty of $5 Harbor Tool socket sets save my butt when broken down in my truck. But in my shop, I prefer my Snap-On … Roy@@feliksdz4208
American made. The carbines are awesome also
Agreed about the carbines. One of the great values in a gun today, I think. Roy
For every derogatory comment about HiPoint firearms there's an Englishman who wishes he could own one. 🤔
Boy howdy! Roy
😂
Don’t forget the lawn mower gun.
Damn, you’re right …. I forgot about that. You’d need one too .. if you had a lawn! Ha! Roy
@@fmgpubs You don't really need to have a lawn to own a riding mower. My old Lab/Corgi mix (Argus) used to ride and even nap over my mower deck on trips around my 4 acres and up and down the street. Quality time is how and where you find it. These days I spent more gas money on my Snapper and Cub Cadet than my Toyota Tacoma.
Ha! I understand. We buy gas for our gear here in groups of six or eight five gallon gas containers. Not counting the half dozen for diesel for the tractors! But it is great fun, ain’t it? Roy@@dalecflowers
This LOOKS like a POS and I'm confident that it IS a POS. Save your money and get a Sig.
I wouldn't cross the street to get a hi-point if they were paying people to take them.
Meh. How many times would I have to cross the street, get paid for taking a Hi Point, then sell them for $50 at a NYC gun buy back to be able to afford a nice Sig 365? Yeah...I'd end up with a free Sig 365 and a reliable Hi Point. Game, set, match.
@@dalecflowers WOW, you are more desperate than I will ever be
and what would you still be doing with a hi-point after getting the P365?
game, set, match, tournament champion, grand slam
Everyone to their own. I think many who buy them wish they could afford a “nicer” gun, but as someone said, a Hi-Point is better than a strongly worded letter … Roy
@@fmgpubs or you could just pistol whip them if close enough or throw it if you had to
a steel core zinc and other plastic peice of crap might as well blow up in your hand
and Roy really has to relax or fess up to being a hi-point owner/employee
