Great song by a brilliant band. John Fogerty has a classic and rock'n'roll voice. He is still playing today and he has two of his sons in his band.
Saw them in London about 5 or 6 years ago and they were brilliant and would put a lot of younger bands to shame!
THIS WAS THE FIRST SONG I LOVED WHEN I WAS A KID LIKE 5 YEARS OLD LOL!!!!
Hello! This was my dad's favorite! Now I love it too. It's a classic!
Hi Cheryl, that is great! I am glad it won the poll.
@@66edoug Hello there! He'd have the radio on and I could not say the full name of the band so CCR was good!
@@cherylreichardtIt takes longer to say the name of the band than it is to sing the song.
I love your stories Cheryl. Except for the not to pleasant ones.
@@66edoug Always keep it happy as possible 😉
@@cherylreichardt Absolutely!
Like so many of their songs, Down On The Corner is way too short. It has that laid back feel about it that suggests there is something more to get in to but it ends in a fade out. If you haven't already heard it then I Heard It Through The Grapevine by them is a must. It's an all time gem. 👍
CCR: Simple, effective, authentic, fun (even if some songs are angry). Nice reaction.
Thanks Jim! You’re right, even though their songs aren’t long, they are still great -Ethan
Such a great song. One of many classic CCR tunes, and it’s unmistakably them.
Another classic band to dig into is Cold Chisel! An iconic band that much of the US is not aware of.
Hey Ethan & Lare .. CCR YES 👏🏼 Whatever CCR y'all do .. I'm here periodt😉
A quick one today. Haven't heard this one in a while. More visits to the 60s please.

@@im-already-tired-tomorrow Cheers, mate!
Glad you made it today. A good CCR song. Yep, a cowbell. My favorite CCR song you guys already done. My pick for the poll came in a very close second - Boston - Don't Look Back, one on my positive song playlist. Be sure to play the Boston song Ethan, I'm sure you'll like it
Please do more CCR ...SWEET HITCH HIKER and UP AROUND THE BEND and BORN ON THE BUYOU and LOOKING OUT MY BACK DOOR, and Green River
Heard this on the radio lots of times. Fun song.
Good tune voters !
"Rooster hits the washboard and people just got to smile
Blinky thumps the gut bass and solos for a while
Poor Boy twangs the rhythm out on his kalamazoo
And Willey goes into a dance and doubles on kazoo" peace.
If I held a poll poll, this poll would do well.
Warning !@@66edoug, that makes perfect sense to me.
"Good bye Joe Me gotta go Me oh my oh
He gotta go-pole The piroque Go down the bayou" "Jambalaya" Hank (the most songs using the same words) Williams peace.
@@im-already-tired-tomorrow He figured out the way to write great songs from the things he had learned. He was an incredible algorithm guitarist
yeah@@66edoug, he's a poet. but i'm only guessing what an incredible . . oh blurt , Rhythm . . nice ! Double Score.

Great reaction to a great song! CCR had some awesome tunes! Major fighting… if you have a chance you should look into the CCR v John Fogerty lawsuit. Fascinating!
CCR broke up (after seven studio albums released between 1968-72) around the time I started to get interested in music and they didn't chart in the UK after that, so they don't have much of a profile in my memory. This sounds vaguely familiar from radio airplay after it charted at #31, but that's about it.
Love you how give the chart info for each song we react to. I really appreciate it! And it’s interesting. - Ethan
@@fatherandsonreactions - it's because my 61-year old memory is unreliable these days, I have to look everything up!
@@davemac1197Thanks to the internet. Strange as it may seem, I've never cared where a song charted, only if I like it. I'd probably find many songs I liked were not in the top 50.
@@metalmark1214 - yeah, there's so much fake news around these days, I have to fact check even myself!
You could use a filter in Audacity to remove the background hum, it's fairly easy to do.
Susie Q, Chooglin, and Run Through The Jungle, please, and Thanks.
Needs MORE cowbell! No, actually there's is just the right amount. CCR had so many great, catchy songs...one of my all-time favourite rock bands. If you haven't heard John Fogerty's solo work, you should check some of it out. I really really like his Revival album (see what he did there with that title? haha!). Some great songs on that album, but I love Creedence Song and Don't You Wish It Was True. BTW, they actually did 7 albums. Cheers!
(Disturbed / Down With The Sickness!) Creedance is just ok in my book 📕 pin head ! Lol Why would ya need a pin head , just to hang around? 👍
😎👍
You have been doing quite a few misheard lyric songs lately. You did More Than A Woman the other day and this song has "Four kids on the corner trying to string you up" and "Bring a nickel, clap your feet."
I rather hear the AC than a Van Halen reaction.
Put those mics closer. Why not?
Hi guys! Hope you're doing okay!
Hello there! It's got cowbell for Ethan !
Hello Dave, hope you are doing okay too!
@@cherylreichardt - it did ring a bell...
@@66edoug - "60'F Cloudy" here, but the continent seems to be roasting as well as the States.
