    I want a time machine to go back to the time when music was AWESOME !!!
    Recorded on August 26, 1977 at the Olympic Stadium, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, album released in 1979.
    Similar to most live albums, In Concert featured fan favorites of previously released material. However, "Peter Gunn", ELP's take on the classic TV themed song, was never published on any of their other albums (a slightly edited version of this live recording was included in the compilation The Best of Emerson, Lake & Palmer of 1980 and published in certain countries). ELP often opened with this song during the Works Volume 2 tour.
    The group hired an orchestra of 70 musicians for some concerts on this tour, but ultimately had to fire the orchestra due to budget constraints that almost bankrupted the group.

      à Éric Lachapelle;
      J'en suis resté sans voix dès les premières images! ELP au STADE OLYMPiQUE. Un pestacle que je ne voulais pas manquer. Mais du haut de mes 12 ans, je n'avais pas la stature pour convaincre mes parents que rien ne pourrais m'arriver. Le stade olympique de Montréal se trouvait à 2-3 heures de route de Québec city en autobus.
      Vers l âge de 15 ans, j'ai pris ma revanche en me rendant à tous les shows de mes bands préférés. Pas dans l'ordre, en voici un aperçu: Supertramp, UK, Yes, Jethro Tull, Frank Zappa, Billy Cobham, Keith Jarret, David Bowie, King Crimson, Kraftwerk, Robert Fripp, B.B. King, Maneige, Oscar Peterson, Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea, Eberard Weber, Gentle Giant, Plume Latraverse, thé Cure...
      Mes Salutations, Éric L.

      On the original Henry Mancini recording, the pianist was a studio musician who went by Johnny Williams. He went on to follow Maestro Mancini as the premier film score composer of his era. Yep, that John Williams. I'm very grateful he's still active.

Anyways, i stopped listening to it, but 8 years later i found it again as a piece for bigband, and today, 10-13 years after heaving my cassette deck i listened to this cover again. Just some reeaally great work!
