    That was awesome!!! I love it. I just tried it with one bank account and loved it. However I do have one question.....when you have a client with multiple checking accounts, and they transfer funds from one account to the other, how will the batch entry catch the duplicate transactions, or will it???? Or do I need to catch it before I import? Thanks in advance!!!

    • @HectorGarciaCPA
      @HectorGarciaCPA  Před 9 lety

      it wont catch it! you have to delete them from the other side before importing them... or send all transfers to a bank account called "transfers" which will just zero out when you are done

    Hi Hector: When you made this 2/6/15 video, the best of us did as you expertly show. However, I trust you know bank statement converters & custom transferrable QB Online machine learning rules made it unnecessary (for any QBO). QBO ACCOUNTANT users also can give QBO users Accountant Toolbox with Reclassify Transactions.

    • @HectorGarciaCPA
      @HectorGarciaCPA  Před 6 lety

      I guess you like QBO better?

    • @MikeBlockCPA
      @MikeBlockCPA Před 6 lety

      That is a very good observation Hector. Yes, I do like QBO better for most clients. However, there is no reason that QBO bank statement converter output could not go to Excel, where I could automate all the conversions.

Aghhhhh-when I went to open the CSV file, ALL the formatting was gone and any new worksheets I had created in the excel workbooks were gone. Hector this is informative and I thank you for sharing your knowledge.
    However, I think it is time we come up with a better system. QuickBooks whether it is Desktop or Online is an antiquated system who's backbone and framework appear to be out of MS-DOS. I haven't had a system restrict me in the number of characters of information I can write into a transaction in years with any other piece of software, but QuickBooks. In addition, If we have to do that much clean up to our files to import them into a software, then the problem is the software. Thank you for listening to my rant. As you can see I am really frustrated with QuickBooks.
