DIY Fabric Softener that REALLY Softens!!

- If you're looking for a way to cut chemicals and save money at the same time, try out this fantastic recipe for fabric softener! It really softens, the clothes smell great, and there's no static. Finally, an alternative that works!!
Recipe:
2 Cups of Boiling Water
2 Cups of Distilled White Vinegar
1 Cup of Conditioner, - the crappy ingredients
Desired amount of essential oils
Remember, if you have children OR you are pregnant, use an essential oil that is safe!!

For some people, just white vinegar works as a fabric softener. I've tried it. It just doesn't work for us. So....I make fabric softener same way you do.
How do you make your conditioner?
If it helps any, I found a simple conditioner recipe that had 2 parts water to 1 part coconut oil. I doubled the recipe on this site and did the following to incorporate the home made conditioner and make the process a bit more simple. It turned out great but I may experiment with removing 1/2 cup of vinegar to the recipe next time.
4 2/3 cups of Water
2/3 cups of Coconut Oil
4 cups of Vinegar
Desired amount of essential oil (used vanilla & lavender)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat up 3 cups of Water in the microwave or on a stovetop. Add the coconut oil and stir until fully melted. In a separate container, add the Vinegar and the remaining 1 2/3 cups of Water. Now add to that container the warm water with the coconut oil. Add the desired amount of essential oils. Mix well and add into the softer containers. Be sure to shake up the softener container before each use.
What is up, go to your channel and there is no hair conditioner recipe/ video, so what good is the laundry softener? Did search on your whole channel. You should take this down until you have one.

Guys, you can use any "hair conditioner" you have on hand. It will work very well in this recipe!

A few questions, so I just found your channel, thanks for the video! So does it separate (conditioner, water and vinegar) our does the EO's sit on the top? If So do you have to shake every use? If so I'll use some polysorbate to get it blended well and won't have to shake, actually I'll probably do that anyways lol. Second question do you have the video on your conditioner? I actually altered it a tiny bit so that I could make bigger batches, but the ingredients and ratio are the same!! I plan to do an updated video on this, as well as a conditioner video. As far as how much to use, I fill the fabric softener spot in my washer to the "max" line. :)

I tried this in the clothes did not come out soft at all, and on the top of the water was a lot of Phone. I had to rinse the clothes after the fabric softener cycle.

Hi, cheri orr! I actually make my own conditioner, and that is what I used in this video. I will be a making a video very soon showing how I make my own conditioner. However, if you want to make this asap and you're not sure how to make a conditioner, I would just choose a brand that doesn't have any bad chemicals or fragrance.

‘Crappy stuff’ is waaay too technical for me!
She’s clueless. Another science illiterate. The same type of chemicals (quaternary amines) are used in hair conditioners as in fabric softeners.
