Damn. Yamcha may not be physically the strongest but he's definitely emotionally the strongest cause I would've killed myself after that insult.

@@Maestoso28 Yamcha and Bulma broke up before Vegeta and Bulma became a thing, and besides Yamcha moved on he's not in love with bulma anymore. Sure it's low blow insult but it's not that big of a deal to him. I would be the same if I was in his shoes plenty more fish in the sea. Also what's so great about Bulma anyways she's pretty annoying and complains way to much I'm glad my boi Yamcha got out of that when he could.

The thing you got to respect about Yamcha... is that no matter how badly he's roasted, he stay standing.
True, he could've just left the Z-gang and lived in seclusion somewhere, but that's not Yamcha's character: he's the type to still be there for his friends, even if his life was in jeopardy.
NeoSonic19 yah, he knew he had no chance against cell but he still showed up and was did extra training with krillin before the cell games. He did well against the cell jrs and tien and him kneed that one cell jr which was pretty cool and he also followed piccolo and the others to help gohan fight cell during the beam struggle. It’s kinda weird him not being there for the frieza resurrection invasion but krillin was there, they both stopped training since to buu saga, but yamcha is on the same level as chaitzou for some reason. His power levels are in the millions like the other humans. Idk it’s just not like him to miss out on something like that
They may have relegated Yamcha into an "occasional hero" archetype by the Majin Buu arc, but Toyotaru confirms that Yamcha still trains in Super. In FighterZ, Yamcha is still strong enough to be affected by those waves, whereas Chiaotzu wasn't affected whatsoever (so yeah, Yamcha is still stronger than Chiaotzu).
As far as Resurrection F goes, Yamcha's name was mentioned in the movie, whereas Tien only mentioned Chiaotzu in the anime (I felt that the Z-cast was very underwhelming and IGN agrees also). As much as I love the song Vow of Z, I just wished that the entire Z-roster was there to bring it out to the fullest (I just listen to it while looking at the Z-Fighter images on google to compensate).
NeoSonic19 yes same, like when the saiyans showed up, even chaitzou tried his best. It’s was very emotional too in Japan when yamcha died. He was a big character in dragon ball and many ppl were crying over there especially when bulma started crying. While in western countries, many ppl never watched dragon ball and only watched Z, so they see him as a joke. Yamcha was tiens rival and best friend. In dragon ball, they hinted that when they fought in the world tournament, especially in kami’s training(it was so bad ass, tien and yamcha were taking it very seriously) but for some reason they made yamchas training a joke when they were preparing for the androids. Yamcha always trained seriously. Also he usually trains in the wood, I feel like they were desperate to Make yamcha a gag character
@Sage mode King: I've watched Dragon Ball as well, I felt that scene in Z where Puar, Bulma, Krillin, and everyone else were devastated by his death. Also if you make fun of Yamcha dying to protect Earth, then it's the equivalent of making fun of all the real life soldiers who've risked/sacrificed their lives for our freedom and foundation. Plus Yamcha was looking out for Krillin, because he couldn't be wished back twice.
Also even though Yamcha supposedly retired from fighting, a group of people in the comments (in different DB videos) wished he fought in Resurrection F and the ToP saga.
I liked the "Yamcha/Tien" rivalry and they were kind of like the Earthling versions of Goku and Vegeta (except more friendlier).

Seriously, Toriyama needs to leave Yamcha alone. I mean, it's not even funny anymore. I literally don't even laugh anymore. It's just sad. He was once one of the coolest characters in Dragonball. Now they've turned him into a complete coward there for comic relief, then took his girl and handed her off to the biggest douche in the series (creating the most random couple in anime history) and not only do they not throw him a bone in the realm of Z fighters, he isn't even that special in normal earth life either. Just lives alone with his shapeshifting cat who he may or may not have had fulfill his fantasies. Like, this dude is fuckin TRAGIC. And it's not even like he's a bad guy. He was always a good-natured person who showed signs of selflessness and even bravery despite his level of strength. Leave this man alone Toriyama. He's suffered enough. Please...
Yamcha was never a cool character. Even in early DB when he was a villain portrayed as a joke fighter that would get beat up by fodder henchman that Krillin could beat.
True but in db he had some good moments like fighting kid goku... but now after we get to supers, yamcha hasn't really done much...

In the first Tournament he made it in the top 8, and he was competing against Master Roshi, Goku, and Krillin, who were all way above normal human limitations

Its funny and all guys but lets be honest. The REAL reason Bulma "chose" Vegeta was because Toriyama needed more Saiyan characters that weren't all related to Goku, and Bulma was the only other relevant female aside from Chichi.
That and they look better as a couple then Yamcha and bulma, they became the most famous couple of DB already so toriyama can write excalty.

Yamcha isn't wrong though. In fact, I agree with what he said 100%. Been saying it for years, Piccolo needs to tap into the god power that he acquired by reuniting with his better half, Kami. A super namekian with god power = should be able to surpass SSJ blue. Either that, or tap into the demonic power of Daimao - or maybe both for that matter. Piccolo is both a demon and kami, that should mean something, but in Super it doesn't, unfortunately.
