Fist time I have seen a collection of Stormtroopers that rivals the collection that I used to have. I wonder if he does clone troopers as well like I used to. I gave mine to a friend who also was huge in to troop building. My buddy now has enough to dwarf the collection in this video. But I really like the way this guy organizes and displays his in a large military unit. I worked to do that, but I never had time to accomplish it.
I would love to see that more massive army!! Used to have a decent clove army as well, but parted with a portion to focus on the Empire! Thank you for your kind remarks.
I had no idea there were so many types of stormtroopers! Wow! Lol, I literally figured between the original line I grew up with and later ones that maybe there were four or five lines with versions of the original. And then the Han (Luke?) in stormtrooper armor and the shoulder pad one (desert?) (oh and the Hoth, Tie Fighter & speeder bike pilots)
Step 1: Buy stormtroopers. A LOT of stormtroopers.
Step 2: Buy MORE stormtroopers.

I've been building my Imperial army for the past 3 years and have a little over a 100 figures. My goal is to get up to 100 VC140 sculpt grunts with up to 20 of each unique Imperials.
Now I know why there aren't any stormtroopers in Walmart...

I love stormtroopers too, my collection is its infancy.. a trio of each type and I only have space for 30 or less 6' troopers which I mainly use to "guard" my lightsaber hilt display.

Always good to see the rows all in good formation. I can't wait to see a video on the VOTC's 30+ re-issues over the years. Also I saw you mentioned the Corelian patrol trooper from Solo as a possible driver for the ITT which should work. I know the animated show Rebels showed a darker armor variation of their AT-DP drivers (that they also used on their McQuarrie esque speeder bikes) as the ITT driver but that figure variation has ever been released so the Patrol trooper is a good fill-in for him.

I absolutely love your collection ad the way it's set up. I do a similar thing with lego knights. Each unit is made up of 24, mostly because of the math. I could do:
1 row of 24
2 rows of 12
3 rows of 8
4 rows of 6
6 rows of 4
8 rows of 3
12 rows of 2
or have all 24 in a single line.
I just liked the tactical formation options. Plus it feels just enough to be "a lot", visually. It also has the quirk of 24 * 5 = a roman maniple. So I don't quite have platoons, but I do 24 x 24 + 1 command group for now, or 5 maniples for easy counting.
Anyway, I must say that I loved the collection, and it really helped me out with a thing I was asking myself, which is if I should go into collecting the black series, the vintage collection or both. I love to army build, so I would if I did. I'm not well off enough to really afford it without some drastic lifestyle changes, and if I did go that deep into it, it would just break my heart to see them yellow, and that was something I had never thought about. But you're right. And that I think is enough for me to stick with my retro collection. As much as I would love to see 1000 storm troopers and recreate the scene with the emperors shuttle and the army...you know the one...I just can't bring myself to do it.
So thank you. You showed me a glimpse of a childhood dream, but that is all it can ever be for me...unless I win the lottery.
Thank you so much for sharing! You know, you can just build one figure at a time. It adds up. FYI, the new troopers aren’t yelling as much. They changed the chemical mix. Also, there are some cheaper alternatives for army building. For example, you can get the Tantive IV Stormtrooper rather cheaply in lots on eBay for about $5 each. Also, you can always try Tunghori.com. He sometimes has good deals on army builders.
This is a great video and I loved watching it. Honest question from am amateur army builder: In Star Wars Insider #84, there's an awesome "Guide to the Old Republic" article written by Karen Traviss and Ryan Kaufman that gives an extremely detailed look at the Grand Army of the Republic Clone Army, including what constituted a squad, platoon, company, regiment, etc. (For example, a squad is made up of 9 Troopers led by a Sergeant.) Given that the Grand Army was the foundation for the Empire's Stormtrooper, is there any correlation between the command structure when compared against each other? Obviously the Jedi Commanders don't apply after Order 66 - but I'd love to know if there's a publication or article that explains in detail the Imperial Command Structure as I clearly don't have enough Troopers to make a couple battalion...but I might work towards a company! The karma indicates squad leader as far as I know. But Karma's do look cooler.

Thanks so much!! How much time have you got? I'd love to provide a detailed list, but it's a lot. With the exception of the At At drivers, in general I tired to acquire the proper number of vehicles for the number of drivers I have. So for the At-St, I have 16 Walkers for the 32 drivers. Squad leaders get the AT DP. I'll have to figure out a way go into more detail, which I'd be thrilled to do!

Some of my troopers are missing a hand because when I was young the ones that had lost their blaster needed a weapon, so I would remove the hand and make it act as a cannon, then I lost the hand. I was 5

You have an amazing collection of troopers I love the insignias on the troopers Star Wars figures and GI Joe's were always my favorite but Star Wars were always first in my heart I started collecting again my first collection I gave to my son now for the past 3 years I started up again and it is very expensive and I found out that Target will no longer carry the TVC line who knows Wal-Mart might follow suit its very unfortunate great video brother keep up the great work!

That is amazing, an entire legion of my best troops. I army build also up to about 300 stormtroopers, 50 Snowtroopers, 55 death troopers, 60 shoretroopers and a bunch of other miscellaneous other so far. 70 drivers and pilots, 25 special ops, would love to send you a pic to get your input. Thank you! These are a combination of VOTC through Legacy Stormtroopers assembler about 10 years ago. It was a lot of hunting for deals. Ross, Target clearance, etcetera. Also stumbled upon a shop here in LA that got a semi regular supply for cheap. Unfortunately may of these figures have yellowed. The Legacy Spacetroopers held up very well, though.

@@TheVloopy they make black as well, but clear is the bigger seller. Yes, I painted them to blend in with the surface. The layer of paint helps them lock better, actually.

eBay now. Some of these haven’t been made in 10 years. The new ones are better though! Walmart has some for pre-order, Entertainment Earth and all the big e-trailers have all the latest versions.

The yellow, I think you’re referring to the Joker Squad leader Sargent Harkas, the Blue would be comic pack figures and/or the Stormtrooper Commander and the Red are Incinerator troopers.

For example, Tunghori.com has plenty of troopers for reasonable prices, Including VOTC styled Stormtroopers for $9 and newer Luke Stormtroopers for $12. Deals are out there to be had. You just have to know where to look. 🙃

Collectors that hoard supplies are the reason others miss out on just getting a couple of figures.
Main charcters , a half dozen troops. (Buy legit)
Then use after market troops to make up numbers
(yes ally express).
This makes things more fair gives others a chance to collect too.
you only ever need 1 loose,1 in packet/on card & a spear .
Dont ever buy up .....(empty rack)
then list them at 2-3 x the price
Thats just selfish.
If you want to make a profit
Order in bulk from suppliers
Sell / make a profit that way.
It especially frustrates me that people buy up large amounts of figs to then store them in boxs ! cause they dont have the room for them.

When you collect figures do you take the only 8 that are there on the rack/shelf or do you take say 3-4 and give others a chance to collect also ?
Most people dont care about what im saying ...until they do... until it effects them !
Im just saying its frustrating enough to just get a couple of these at times so dont make it harder for others by emptying the rack/shelve's always leave a few for others .
Im not saying this collector emptied racks or shelves (just looks like it) im just useing this video as an example.
This collector most likely orders them in 🤔 from the main supplier

And us older collectors need to be mindful that Mums & Dads dnt always have the income to compete with us older collectors who either no longer or dont have dependent kids ,we often have responsibilities that only go as far as to effect our selves and our money is more often available for spending on other things such as Toys .
Just be mindful , be considerate of others always leave something for others for the kids .
The kids need star wars more than ever they need "Hope" more than ever .

Fair points. In this case, most of that collection was from trades, bought at discount from collecting shops, bargain outlets and what-not. It was years of work. 🙃 The good news is, I just got a bigger house, so it’ll be going on permanent display. Quite possibly with my smaller rebel army across the room. 🙂

$29-$39 each if .....IF they are ever around long enough to become discount prices then maybe - $20
Anything from those last 3 films you cant give it away.
What we get given very low stocks and slim variety.
We miss out on a lot due to target & amazon exclusives the after market anywhere for anyone is a nightmare a 501st clone trooper can fetch $200 (3.75)in my country thankfully hasbro is rereleasing them.
Say I order from ebay the postage is often the same or higher than the price of the item.
We have a small group of folks who sell on line through what we call "Trade Me" they do there best to keep prices down and the community between local star wars groups on FB & trade me watch out for scalpers they get locked out real fast ,often if u order say a dozen or even 8 of the same fig the seller will approache you and enquire and that is a good thing !
Anyways I hope u see it was not a personal attack ,simple sharing my own views u provided a great example visually.✌

As I said it would be amazing if you did first order sets that's what I collect but I'm not very far I use to have 3 I have the execution thing and a grunt is what you call it and use to have a silver trooper but I lost it I'm trying to order it do you have any first order ones
@@Laxatives2 I would definitely use the Execution Stormtroopers as Sergeants and the Phasma's as Captains! I only have a squad of First order Stormtroopers.

Thanks so much! Orange shoulder pauldrons typically indicate LTs, especially for infantry, but for my formation, my Stormtroopers take a note from ESB Snowtroopers and I add LT rank badges.
