He’s going crazy cause he’s been doing the out of bounds glitch for hours.
Only real Red Dead Redemption 1 obsessed super fans like me remembered how easy it was to escape RDR1's map only to fall off the map by low textured ground.
It's probably because he drank energy drinks or either because he was dehydrated
"See the ocean "
"I hear it's wet" Lmao
I think he meant California
@@teslawolverine7009 or the people there
I don't get it
Water isn't wet
There wasn't a single bad stranger mission in the OG RDR. They always had a wtf twist that sat with me for a while after I finished it
*cough cough* Deadalous and Son...
@@fredster594 hell yeah
@@fredster594 Nah, I think the only stranger mission that wasn’t good was, Aztec Gold. Basilio was pretty forgettable and his fate was predictable since we’ve already seen what happened to treasure hunters such as Seth that spent a lifetime searching for treasure. Every other stranger mission was pretty memorable though.
@@jinxthatsme2317 i can’t remember that one what exactly happened?
@@jinxthatsme2317 Agreed Aztec Gold isn't that great. But Deadalus and Son, while pretty good story wise, gameplay wise made me waste 2 hours trying to find those stupid Beaver pelts. Beavers only spawns in West Elizabeth and back in 2010 I didn't use Google that much so I had no choice but to waste a shit load of time to find some beavers pelts by just riding around the open world.
But of course I get a huge middle finger when I realise that Leonardo Da Vinci's helicopter doesn't work. And Charles dies and all of my hard work was for nothing.
Drink cactus juice. It'll quench ya. Nothing is quenchier. It's the quenchiest!
A man of culture.
@@EZMotion101 technically a "woman of culture" but I appreciate the comment none the less
*IT'S A GIANT MUSHROOM!!!*
Most of them make you have the running shits
@@Kid_Spitfire I can't believe that Kemzi guy assumed you had a penis smh...
Poor Sam all he had to do was follow the setting sun to california.
I’m from Odessa, Ukraine. Hearing John say “Odessa” made me happy, lol
If your still living over there I hope you guys are doing ok
me: *lives in Odessa, Romania in 1942*
I've been in the same situation since Nigel is looking for me and John/Arthur says my name sometimes.
@@347warrior Hoping for the best, Russia is fucking wild though, the political tension is crazy
@Bla Blu We will. We’re strong.
I've played RDR1 since launch and I've never ever tried playing a stranger missions as John first and then later playing as Jack, this is my first time ever seeing a person doing that.
I'm gonna do a compilation of clips where you do. The only one I have is "flowers for a lady" which for some reason unlike this one it's acted like Jack is John. The guy just says "oh thank you"
@Cfc7ninja 12 I think you misunderstand my comment, let me rephrase that. I meant that I've never continued a stranger mission as Jack after i started them as John. I ALWAYS finish them as John, because after I complete the story, RDR becomes incredibly boring to me. So I always make sure that I complete all stranger missions before I complete the story. And I specifically complete them as John since John is the canon one.
However on my first playthrough of RDR1 there were a few stranger missions I didn't discover like California and Aztec Gold so I played them fully as Jack.
@@melodicsatisfactionproductions Damn it, I thought I had adblock on! Oh well seems like I'll get advertisment now on CZcams comment sections too.
But in all seriousness let me know when that video is finished cause I really want to see that.
@@fredster594 wasn't really trying to be advertising as much as saying how I related to that comment. It'll be a while as I have to restart the game and better track how the side missions are handled. And there are some that only happens after others so that adds to it. Not to mention unlike other Rockstar games there's only 3 save files making it more tedious
@@fredster594 it's finished now my dude. In order of when they trigger. Its my most recent video.
I know this seems creepy but I remembered you saying this so I wanted to let you know
Main one I ignored is American Appetites since you never meet someone and go back to them but, it's done
this is one of the saddest sidemissions in RDR in my opinion, especially when you take into consideration how gaptooth breach (the area where the entire sidemission takes place) is inspired heavily by western arizona, california and nevada. while an actual area vs an area inspired by it isn’t the same, in a way sam was always in california
New Austin is supposed to be based off the state of Texas.
@@FormulaVase-kp3dc yeah, but not all of new austin is based off texas. there’s no joshua trees (gaptooth)/saguaro cacti (cholla springs) growing in texas’ deserts, lol. new austin’s more so an amalgamation of the southwest, rather than being just inspired by one certain state.
Agreed. RDR and GTA aren't based in any actual states, they're fictional places Rockstar created.
@@madonnabediary technically they are, just not complete replicas, like ambarino is based on Colorado seeing as the names are based on colors
@@madonnabediary Los Santos is clearly Los Angeles and Liberty City is clearly New York City. Not replicas but parodies.
EDIT: Also GTA mentioned Vice City (also referred to as Miami in the game’s canon) being in Florida a real state and San Andreas is essentially California.
You know you're making quality videos when Colton the Creampie King is one of your patrons.
I've laughed at that name for so long 😂
My heart broke for Sam when I first played this encounter. I live in AZ and I truly wanted to help him. It's blazing hot, no water, doesn't understand the plant life which could save him. Cacti do have water and can serve as food when cooked. He's slowly succumbing to dehydration and sun-sickness and/or heatstroke... I've witnessed with my own eyes what it does to a person and believe me, it ain't pretty. RIP Sam Odessa.
We were somewhere outside of armadillo when the drugs begin to take hold
Sam had been in the desert for 3 years waiting for someone to come, and he only moved a couple miles up north. He seems like a pretty intelligent individual.
Those New Austin establishing shots before he delves into the Stranger quest really have me wishing Rockstar would develop that RDR1 remake already.
Yeah I’d love that! Wanted to play rdr1 for a bit now but there’s no other means for me unless I’d be willing to get a console that can play it, there’s no options when it comes to the ps4 store in terms of a rerelease
heard there will be one (supposedly)
@@StrayKisswHobyStrayKids There are many false reports but Take-Two is planning to release more remasters/remakes in the coming years so I guess it could still come to fruition.
I just played the recently released PS4 version and I had a great time playing it on PS5 at 60fps. The game has aged well and I do not think it needs a remake at all.
Thanks again for the help moving my fridge freezer fizhy mate appreciate it and remember Don't itch a cat scratch

And T.A.H.I.T.I. I heard it’s a magical place
And a whole lotta sssssssssmoke
That's how you get mangos
ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS FOLLOW THE GODDAMN SUN, SAM!!!!
On one hand, he got lost and insisted on staying lost. On the other hand, he did manage go survive a shockingly long time for a man without a horse or for that matter supplies lost in the desert.
This reminds me of that one episode of Avatar when Sokka drank the cactus juice.
Cinematic beauty
Fizhy have you ever played the stranger missions 'Aztec Gold'?
It's the least popular and played stranger mission in RDR1 ever, since it's location is in the most secluded area in RDR1 ever.
The side mission is located in east south (Punta Orgulo) district of Mexico in an area that looks similar to Pike's Basin.
No wonder I only found it after finishing the game and while going for 100% completion. The only stranger mission I did as Jack. I was genuinely surprised to see it because I thought I completed all of them.
@@ApricityGlow So how was it getting the Bureau outfit?
@@fredster594 Very nice. Quite useful in massacring Blackwater to get the low honor horse.
Something that I wish rdr2 had done was give us the ability to post letters that we found on people. Like Bonnie's.
Prickly pears are delicious and everywhere in the Sonoran desert, they are very easy to pick as well 😧
Jim Milton and Jack Mansion
Fun Fact: Sam is voiced by the same guy who voices Leo in Manhunt 2
“Who the fuck wants to be John Marston?”
No wonder why dutch didn't go into the desert
Literally been watching these every day 🔥
Just when I think there wouldn't be any Red Dead content left. I am pleasantly surprised.
Worked out about as well as Dutch’s dream of Tahiti....
4:23 he didn't actually do math. He was trained to answer the right questions.
Starting missions as John and finishing it with Jack is abit awkward because how does Jack know that Sam was heading to California? Unless John told Jack he met a guy named Sam and he's heading to California lol
probably johns diary?
Poor guy was probably following the sunset he just couldn’t scale the big fuck off cliff at the end of the map.
Mans gonna have to brush up on some rock climbing if he wants to reach California.
I remember playing this for the first time and seeing this, it was very sad and emotional for me
I didn't cry but I just remember being very saddened by it.

Great vid man
Thank you for these videos. I'm preparing a video of starting side missions as John and finsihing as Jack and these help better track stopping points where I can come back later or knowing when to trigger them
I can't believe I missed this side mission
Ain’t watched u in a long time
Just finished this mission earlier, right after the assault on fort Mercer. I was coming off the high of such an awesome mission and found poor Sam, all alone out there, long gone. I was expecting some kind of funny resolution where Sam would be saved and brought back, and eventually would have a pretty happy ending, but no. I wasn’t completely broken, but seeing him just laying there made me pretty upset. I was really hoping he’d make it, but it just didn’t happen. Needless to say mailing his letter was my top priority.
RIP Sam Odessa :( may you find California someday
I've missed this game and am playing it again now after a few years. This game not only has a better storyline, but it also has more comedy in it and more crazy characters. I really liked Sam's side mission. He was the only half sane one out of all the side missions. Well at least until he started eating the cactus that is.
Wow, never got to see the conclusion to this one.....thank you lol
I played Red Dead since launch and I still play it and I have NEVER seen this mission untill you uploaded it. How the hell did I miss this!?
love these mate keep it up
He could also be talking about “Jim Key” who to my knowledge was a horse who could do tricks, spell word and names, and even do math.
great narration
Sam Odessa is just Sam Houser in the Red Dead Universe, this was possibly a hint to GTA V
He holds up in gaptooth breach because he know there’s a gold mine there, just waiting for the opportunity to sneak in there and grab some gold for he’s family, but the opportunity never appears as the place is well guarded 24/7.
So he end up died from thirst and hunger.
Can you do the stranger mission
Who are you to judge at Rathskeller Fork where....a guy loves his horse so much it's his wife
I've played this game maybe 3-4 times now and never found this quest until just recently. I've gotta say it's one of the most depressing
0:15 can’t imagine Dutch in the desert
Playing through this at the moment on 84% completion I’ve been searching for this mission thank you!
Whats interesting is thean playing sam odessa is Sam Houser.
The co owner and creator of rockstar along with his brother Dan houser.
Always Killin it my man!!!
If only we could save him by hogtieing him and taking him to town...
fun fact the guy sam is inspired by one of the rockstar founders and him talking about California was a secret refrence to gta5 before it came out
One thing I wish they let you do is give the money you found on him and mail it to his wife.
Anyone else notice the typo in the subtitles? “...It ain’t to complicated”
It seems the letter at the end is in reference to gta5 and Rockstar's LONG pause between gta5 and rdr2/gta6. "from the black sea to the pacific in 3 generations" the black sea referencing GTA4 the second generation is him in RDR1 and the pacific is gta5. the bit about the sudden departure and time getting away is in reference to rockstar knowing that there parent company was going to monetize the online service forcing the devs to work on that then make new games hence the "out of obligation" bit.
I think you’re reading a bit too much into this
Awesome man...
Please keep up the amazing work...
Dam a Red Dead Redemption Remake would be so great!
Did anyone else ever feel like Sam Odessa’s character was a play on crazy Shia Lebouf?
Hey man, I think you should do a stream in the game “before your eyes”
Felt sorry for sam but was glad of the vulture feathers
I wonder how many people wound up like Sam.
Crazy to Think the voice actor of Sam is Deke from Maximum Overdrive
He was definitely one of my favorite Side characters in rdr1
all you need to cross the dessert is a plan and some GODDAM FAITH
I liked to play all of these as John and then find the body as Jack. Something about finding the half decayed body as Jack seemed appropriate.
Fun fact: Sam Odessa shares voice actor with Leo from Manhunt 2, Holter Graham
Would have been a cool easter egg to see Odessa appear in the desert as a boss zombie in RDR Undead Nightmare
Fizhy do you think you could do a video on the black bone forest and why it burnt down?
The horse mathematics is true it’s just that the horse was trained those special numbers
3:43 *too
Can't believe R* did not got that right
Watched some of the streams, but I missed this
the horse that can do math is a legend from real life u can look it up
Sams a rambling man
This is was favorite stranger mission.
can I start this mission with Jack? I'm not finding the man
Homie was the first moon knight but just went crazy 😧🤣
This was a hard one. Many such cases.
Gavin
Why are you using RDR2 footage to show landscapes?
Clever Hans didn't actually know how to do arithmetic - he'd go off of facial cues - usually when someone asked a sum and he got the the answer the person who'd asked would raise their eyebrows or give off some sort of sign that he had gotten the right answer.
( I'm not trying to fact check you, just thought it was pretty interesting. )
Haddad Azzi loves this content
look at the strange man’s video about Sam seems cool
dead red
Horses can learn do math, actually. That part isn’t crazy.
Cool vid
6:33 look at his hand!
Illuminati confirmed.
Fizhy what do you think will be next for Assassins creed at E3 maybe a Game set in Japan?
Hopefully nothing why can't you people just let that series die I want ubi to do something new and fresh not re do the same game they been doing since ac 1 and 2
water isn't wet, obviously lol
Jack is so confused by Sam lol.
What happens if you take him into town hog tied?
he kinda sound like hamish
This is actually very side
Jack is totally Javiers kid... Look at that facial hair! He latino and you can't tell me otherwise.
He has white skin and looks more like john
