i find it really interesting that if you sneak past the guards to get the stolen goods without killing everyone, Rains Fall will praise you for not unnecessarily harming anyone. it shows that despite the fact that the army are bad people he still recognises them as people. he doesn’t want them to die the same way he doesn’t want his son to die. eagle flies as a disgruntled young man feels that he like anyone else can die a hero, and he, almost narcissistically, includes his own people in that philosophy, not recognising this will lead to their end.

The Strange Man is god. When he responds to John’s “damn you!” with “many have.” The most obvious reason is the phrase “goddamn.” His motivation is unknown-“god works in mysterious ways.” He’s an accountant-god takes count of all good & bad deeds you’ve done and decides your fate in light of that. SM also is so confident that the “proper authorities” will judge John. How could he be so certain unless he is himself god? And how did SM know John’s ultimate fate (death and burial by the tree)? How did SM know John’s exact location in all of their encounters? God is omniscient, all-knowing. SM is not the forgiving god of Christian texts. More than likely he is a vengeful and brutal god, like in the old testament.

Ok so,this theory has already been passed around but id like to put it here. Acording to some evidence,it was possible that the jackdaw never sunk in combat or by storm,but by its crews own hand. The jackdaw was one of the greatest ships of its age and then some,a powerhouse led by one of the most feared pirates,an assasin no less albeit later that would be edwards thing. My idea was that the jackdaws crew would come together and sink the ship themselves,knowing it needed to be done,and a rare few knew of this fact,while to the outside,due to unknown circumstances something finaly sunk the legendary ship of Captain Edward Kenway. And i would say only a select few among the crew,Adewale and Edward himself knew the truth,taking the secret to there graves. as i said this theory has been talked about in passing way better,im just passing it along.
