Saka was a standout back when Arsenal were finishing in midtable. Now that they’ve build a legitimately elite squad (Saka is also playing in a brilliant side just like Foden) he is no longer one of the leaders in the team, but Arsenal fans are desperate to paint him as one anyway.
I think we see a style.With possesion we will try and use the Inverted Wingers cutting in and shooting or passing to overlapping Fullbacks who will cross. Sometimes the full back comes inside like Dalot alot last game and will be setup to shoot. Without consistent players in positions its hard to see. Rashy kinda does his own thing young players are learning on the fly. Bruno sometimes goes against the grain as he is used to being the only attaching mid. TH wants one holding and two attaching CMs. If we can get the full back and center backs to regain consistency I think we would have much better season.

I would argue that Ragnick tried to implement a style similar to how Ten Hag’s Ajax played. Ragnick was forced to change it to a more basic style because the players couldn’t do it. When people say “what’s the style of play?” They’re approaching it from how big teams play now. United’s style is basic football because ten hag doesn’t have the players necessary to play his preferred Ajax style.
