Most of the criticism I've seen on her has been very hypocritical. The people trying to convince hard working Americans that elitist liberals look down on them, also criticize AOC for being a bartender before running for congress.
@Jacob Gonzalez I've never been to jail or prison, so i can't comment on the water situation. I remember seeing a Lock Up show, but I was too busy focusing on the maniac that tattooed the whites of his eyes, and never noticed the plumbing. If you say that's how jail toilets are set up, I really don't have any evidence to back up that it's not.
She's never said that people can't make it in life, she said there are roadblocks. Which is true. Women are looked at differently when going for certain jobs, people with non Anglo-Saxon names have a tougher time getting their resume looked at. These things are real.
Jacob, can I just run something past you to see if you've seen this too. Have you encountered partisan people that defend the foibles of a politician, just because of the side they've committed allegiance to? I try everything I can to avoid being a "whatabout-ist" or a "yeah, but" person. I see how certain media outlets nitpick everything the president says, and even though I may agree with him on certain things, I can see that a lot of the segments on the president are just to fill up the 24 hour news cycle.

I love that not only does AOC critique the current Trumpublican administration, but she also critiques her own party, something Nancy Pelosi doesn't like because she and the Democratic elder statesmen have become stagnant in their jobs. Sometimes, it takes fresh eyes to shake things up, and I truly believe that is what people like AOC, Ilhan Omar and the rest of the squad are here to do.
@Kris Avalon, she and the other awesome ladies in The Squad are able to critique their own party because they raised funds for their campaigns from small-dollar, private-citizen donations and are not beholden to Wall Street, major corporations, special-interest groups or lobbyists. They can, therefore, do what their constituents sent them to Capitol Hill to do. Now they're doing that and so much more!!😀

The one good thing about Trump’s presidency is how much activism it spurred in young people and in the urban/hip-hop communities. Especially in the 18-30 demographic. Your vote matters!! And even for the teen demographic, these policies and regulations might not personally affect you right at this very moment, but they will affect you in the future along with your children and grandchildren someday.
