I just bought 2 podium bars. 10 and 8. Amd Thank you so much josh for making them work on both ends. The bolt on one end was too long and my quick disconnect wasnt working. It wasnt butting up to it to make it tight. So i swapped the weight to the other end and boom. Its perfect!! So thank you josh for thinking about everything with the design of them.
Great job with a closeup on nocking points and d loop. I've never seen anyone get that great on video and that's certainly helpful for people just getting into working on their bow

Been shooting my Lift 33 since January, about 500-ish indoor arrows through it now. Holds better, balances better, just plain shoots better than my TRX 34. I’m 61, so I shoot 65#, and my Black Eagle X-impacts at 430 gn hit 286, my fixed blade broadhead hunting sweet spot! My 405 gn version I shoot for TAC launches right at 298, again my sweet spot for outdoor 3D and TAC. With a 3-pin Canyon Pounder, it’s an elk-killing machine!
Love these videos, I want to learn so much with the bow I have so I can treat myself to a good one like that. Thanks for the vids and the knowledge that you give to us newbie’s. 🙏🏽
I watch your show everyday at work for 8 hours. Big fan! I'm gonna buy myself the Ultraview UV3 slider soon and upgrade from a HHA optimizer. The Ultraview UV3 XL 4 pin is the best sight on the market and I'm not surprised you and Dan are running it.
Just got my first flagship bow. Spent three house shooting them all. I’m 29” 70lbs, Mathew’s was great other then the draw cycle felt like it had sand in it. Hoyt drew the best but felt really top heavy at full draw. Bowtech felt to heavy and landed on the Elit Ethos it felt stable and smooth. Love these builds they help me learn more about setting up mine.
just got your Stabs in, running the 12 and 8 on both my rx7 and lift, they are awesome stabilizer. I've been testing out many different bars and they will be the ones I'm running this year!! great product
UV needs to come out with a 3 vertical pin cartridge for the UV Slider. The smaller UV3 scope is nice, but it requires a really small peep... I think I was running 3/32, so that's not great in low light.
Hey Josh, another great video. Thank you. I just started working on my own after 34 years of shooting. Could you please do a video on how adjusting string, Bus, or control cables affect your bow tune, ATA and brace height? There are too many varying opinions on the Internet. Thanks again. I have learned a lot from you so far. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks for the video. I like the wrist sling with the stabilizer attachment. If I had one request, it's the camera person needs to focus on close so we can actually see what you're doing. There was some of that on this video, so definitely an improvements but are still missing a lot and I assume one of the reasons for the video is to help your viewers. Thanks again for sharing good luck with new bow.
Shootdown pro with se2 cam should be high on your test list. I am 30.5" of draw and much prefer it over any of the 33" ata options. Keep in mind if your running a core with the epsilon you need to get a longer launcher travel screw with 2 of their washers to keep launcher from contacting shelf.

Love my Total Peep grip and peep…in fact, I bought them from you…
Just heard Athens Archery has shutdown. My understanding is Bowtech filed a lawsuit against them about their tuning system, which you mentioned might happen in one of your videos. Hopefully, they open again but it sounds like they're done for good.
The funniest thing to me is all the hate on the draw feel. I've not liked Mathews since 2019. The Lift is the first one I'd even consider buying. I guess I like shitty draw cycles 😂. MFJJ is one of the only people doing extensive videos like this that I feel actually gives all brands a chance. Too many brand loyal people getting there no no hole hurt out there because the brand is called on the "bad" stuff. Keep on trucking and hurting feeling @PodiumArcher . Some of us enjoy it.
Josh the only reason that I gave you a thumbs up on this vlog is that I have full respect for you as a person and the knowledge you have in the bow industry where I think that a lot of more people should take notes and listen and learn what you have to say and pretty much it's all good information and true. But again Josh what is it that you find so fascinating about Mathews bows because you know that there are many other brands out there that are just as good as Mathews is but at the end of the day it doesn't matter what anyone else says it's what makes you happy and that's all that matters. Keep up the great work Josh 👍
He did always shoot Bowtech, and even custom frankensteined a a Bowtech couple yrs back to get what he wanted. I just wish Mathews could do some tuning adjustments like the Bowtechs. Because i hear people say the cables on the Bowtechs dont last at all from factory. But i also hear people saying they arent very happy with the bowtech core SS…even tho the specs seem really good. Although Tim went with the core SS coming from the Hoyt Alpha X
This is great. One question I had was where the bow square is aligning to for the bottom soft knot? My last build I tried to center the arrow on the Berger hole, but what is best practice?
*****Josh****** Do a video please where you show how to get the peep to line up perfectly? I know you twist the string but always worry I do too many. Or should I do the top vs the bottom. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
Shop about and hour away from me has “Free MX2 rest with purchase of a Lift.” And RIP TKO elite fletched packs for $99.99. Long story short I left spending but also saving a lot of money 🤣.
Would it make sense to have it shorter like you are talking about or a little longer to get the weight you’re trying to achieve. Example 440 gr vs 460gr
@@kyleangelini5146 basically every selling point of this sight is ruined for leftys. They just decided to flip everything upside down. Making the ergonomics actually worse than most other sights
I like how you have a portion of your video that has all of the components shown and talked about one after another. That way I don’t have to scrub through the whole thing looking for what rest you used, for instance. Not a fan of smacking the components against the wood though. 😂
After you get all the bows built are you going to be shooting them all at distance not just 5 yards in the man cave I think 50 yard group should be added to all your bow reviews
Went to purchase the offset wrist sling, just wanted to verify before ordering that the wrist sling posted on the site is a quick disconnect. The pictures show a threaded stabilizer mount.
What spine would you recommend for a ss34 with a 31 inch draw, 70ish pounds, and a 29.5inch arrow with 170 grains of point weight? Specifically with victory rip shafts.
I'm not a hater but I gave the Lift 33 a legitimate chance and it was by far the worst feeling draw I've felt. I shot it at a 29" draw at 70 lbs and I felt 2 distinct humps. One at 25% and one at about 90%. the one at 90% would kick my butt if I had to draw it over and over. Not a fan at all sorry MFJJ, but keep the good stuff coming.🤘

@jakef1977 ur words not mine all I said is its the funniest comment I've seen and that's my opinion only and I stated I'm not a hater. Reason I love archery is cuz everyone's setup is different. I just laugh cuz the lift 33 is literally so smooth its shocking the 33 at 80lbs is smoother than any 70lb bow. Thats how smooth and easy it is. So for you to say that makes me assume ur someone who complains about any and everything. And hey don't let it offend u its just my opinion.
I have a 29.5 lift with the mx2 integrate rest. I got it set up at a shop. I have to turn my cock feather out to the side instead of up. If I put my cock feather up it looks like the inside vane would hit my cable. Any suggestions?
I’ve seen you complain about the football clamp that comes with Hamskea arrow rest. Have you ever tried something like czcams.com/video/jp6JLxjiuxE/video.htmlsi=_Q2lExQEtJlUshEE. Was very curious about your thought on it.
Just purchased a Mathews lift 33 in fade to black ... with UV slider. Now the problem is sneaking it in the house...
The camera upgrades are much appreciated! Great video, great angles, and great information.
Finallly… someone shows a clear video of tying a dloop. Thanks man.
Ol’ Dudley on nockon archery has a very clear video too. Has a slightly different technique tightening the knots
