It’s loud because if you look at the comb blade, it has raised material that the cutting blade rides on when you open and close it. The blade slips off the back side when you open it all the way. The tolerances for the Wahl/Wahl clones cutting blade weren’t made for an Andis comb blade.
Buy the gamma deep tooth cutter not the slim deep tooth and it’ll fix the noise when open

The sound definitely has something to do with the bracket and lever. I've noticed on my Alphas, not the Ergos, had the same noise issue. My solve was actually removing the little metal pin and turning the click lever into a floating lever. Solved everything for me!
Try putting a foam pad between the cam follower and insertion on the cutting blade, itll reduce the noise by adding slightly more pressure on the cutting blade so it sits firm as it moves. Ive tried this with the 50 cal bmg and the ergo/rogue to put stagger tooth cutter blades. Big difference
If you want to reduce the sound. Switch to a ceramic cutting blade. I put ceramic on my cordless master and the sound was reduced significantly. But you also have to insulate the master more to reduce the sound. I have the caliber which is a stylecraft clipper.
Hey bro you should look into the 3versince ceramic staggered tooth blade with the cam follower for the Gamma Ergo, a very big upgrade 👌
I’m sure you’ve figured it out by now but you can put the alphas bracket on this and then you can use the same screws for wahl blades, gamma blades, and andis blades. Plus, gamma pre fabricates the bracket to be able to put on the andis blades as well as the gamma/Wahl

Great video, thank you!- i’m a beginner..I bought a Stylecraft ergo following your advice. Would you recommend to put the bracket and work with Andy’s clips or, buy/work with Wahl clips since they can work on the ergo without the need of the bracket?

What cutting blade and cam follower did you use for your phat master /ergo , mine falls below the edge of the still blade ; making it loud , and unstable
I used the ergo cutting blade and I didn’t change the cam follower

I also love using The Fade Master Blade on my Ergos. It gives me the ability to bald out not using a trimmer or detachable with the flexibility of a lever. I have all three Andis Blades.
were you able to zero gap the Andis fade blade on these? if so, how? I am using the andis fade blade as my 'still' blade with the stock ergo 'cutting' blade

Those master cut extremely well on the Ergos. I like them better on there than the cordless masters. They remind me of the corded masters with the mod.

The fusion blade fits. I prefer the regular blade, but try it for yourself and see what you think.

Haven't tried the stretch bracket
The stretch bracket doesnt have the double screw hole modifications so you cant use it with the masters blade, only the philty blendz bracket works

First and foremost, you are fighting against the harmonics of the and is master blade itself. Andi's kept the motor around 7K strokes per min. Increasing the motor speed. Lubricating the blade with grease will subdue the acoustics.

@@TRAVELBARBERLIFE From what I've seen its an aesthetic appearance that has slightly changed. There are grooves on the upper portion of the body where the power button is laid, I would say it has the updated 9v power magnetic motor, the power button as well is not a tiny rectangle design. It is a bigger circle that has a halo light ring that lights up around it. Much similar to the Andis master button light on the botton turning on when operating. Might have the new fusion blade Gamma is releasing. You should make an announcement hype video for it. No one has really made a video about it and even the teases about it haven't garnered a lot of views and Rum barber is the only popular barber CZcams I know that has a pair in hand. It's a beautiful clipper, but man I ain't ready to shell put 200 now when that thing is coming 😂. I hate waiting, but I ain't rich either lmao!

No you cant use the wahl blade. It baerly moves sideways. Check it out by yourself. I wanted use wahl legend blade set and... So bad
