Great video. I have repaired a number of old MacBook Pro 2009-2012 laptops, but not with soldering involved (except once, just to disable the bad gpu on a MacBook 2011). This was soothing to watch... dunno if I'll ever attempt the above, but really enjoyed the succinct way you have of making the arcane understandable.

Thanks so much for faithfully contributing, I only wish it was more frequent (actually I could watch everyday)!! I am sure posting to CZcams is quite time consuming. I am always eagerly looking forward to your next video to help me expand my knowledge and skills in electronic repairs. I love your step by step approach, diagnosis, explanation along with schematics, and I have learned so much from your videos. Thanks again and keep up the great work!! Regards

Thanks for the support. We will try to post videos more frequently. Usually when we don't post for a week or two it means we're inundated with repairs and we prioritize customer repairs over videos.

TYhanks so mucho for your info. I just wanted to ask you, you know how can i find that little coil? i mean that exact piece. Mine appears to have somehow divided in two parts, one is loose and the other one is still attached to the mobo.

What is the liquid you used to find the hot component that evaporates quickly? It is not alcohol, is it?

Hi great vid. Have subbed & liked. Trying to fix my old MacBook 13" mid 2012. Had boot loop issue, put new keyboard in, boot loop fixed. Tested my patience, hahah. Now charging issue, disconnected battery & all ok, strong green light on magsafe & booted up great, no probs. But when battery is connected have initial strong green light for a few seconds then goes to weak orange light & won't charge! Any chance you can help please?

Hi good video but what if all the readings on the one wire circuit are correct and there is no short to ground, the voltages are present on the board, yet the tested and working magsafe still has no green light ,no charging light , and won't power on but it still charges the battery ?

My charger gets really hot and burns me at the touch and hardly ever charges. When it does charge it gets abnormally hot and can cause damage to the skin. When it does charge it shows either a very dim Orange light or a bright green light what could this be??? I’ve been through way too many chargers and cleaned the contacts and still no charge?
