  • Princesses is a short lived 90s sitcom starring Fran Drescher, Twiggy and Julie Hagerty, it was cancelled after 8 episodes.
I currently have 5 episodes and the last 3 are missing. The last 3 were unaired but later in 2004 RTL aired the whole series, including the last 3, TV Land also re aired the whole series apart as their 'Sunday Spotlight Series' in 2010 2012 and maybe 2015.
If you have any information my email is in the 'About Me'
    Synopsis:
Deborah, Melissa's sister, organizes a blind date for her sister. Since Melissa doubts whether she should get involved, she decides to take a 'test'. dr Murray Lieberman, as the great unknown is called, owns a dental practice together with Melissa's brother-in-law. Melissa makes an appointment 'anonymously' to review it. In practice, of course, it turns out that Murray is very handsome and extremely charming. Both make an appointment for the big dentist ball in the evening. In the practice, Melissa also learns from receptionist Shannon that she is having an affair with Melissa's brother-in-law. Horrified, Melissa confronts her brother-in-law at the ball.

I actually voted for the show when TV Land aired this episode on "Sunday Showcase" in Summer, 2000, hoping I'd finally get to see the unaired segments. The promise of the contest was that TV Land would add the highest vote-getters to regular rotation in the fall. The whole thing wound up being a sham. They never added any of the shows to regular rotation. And "Princesses" didn't win its week anyway.

Whatever it was TV Land had 10 years later, it wasn't "Sunday Showcase." They only did it once. Obviously, if they didn't want to add any of the 8 shows that won. They didn't even add "77 Sunset Strip," which won in a landslide (granted, the show it was up against was its knockoff, "Hawaiian Eye.")

I think this show's pilot was on Who's the Boss. Donna Dixon was the blonde then. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Why? 👀 I always thought it was a way to get Twiggy more popular with the American audiences, but I'm curious on your opinion too

Is it just me, or are these 90's sitcoms always featuring girls just dying to get married?
