Lovely!
Thank you so much! I spent the entire morning hunting for a replacement gasket.
You’re welcome! Hope you find one quickly and for cheap!
Think I'll go get a couple of those ahead of breaking.... thx Scott
That’s probably a good idea, I think I’ll do the same. 🙏
Great tip. I’ve gone through several turp jars because they always start leaking after a while.
Cool, I’ll be needing one of these soon! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks
Absolutely!
Well, THAT was helpful!!
Who knew?
The hardware store is one of my happy places 😅
Thanks for the tip! How and when do you clean out the turps container?
Whenever the amount of mineral spirits gets low enough that I want to top it off, I will remove the inner strainer basket, put the lid on and give it a vigorous shake to dislodge the paint sludge that has accumulated at the bottom. I then pour that into an old peanut butter jar I use as a settling tank (see my video on re-using your mineral spirits for more on that). I then wipe out the empty brush washer with paper towels and refill with clean mineral spirits. The whole process takes less than 3 minutes. Cheers!
