    The skip to "hey now the carrier bearing is on" was the entire part I was hoping to see.

    I have a 2011 ram 3500. 167,349 miles on it and this is the 3rd time mine has failed just like yours. I am currently on the side of the highway waiting for a tow truck and to get a hotel room at 600 miles from home.

      @@danielkaneff9882 exactly, a complete waste of time! I was thinking to myself "Instead of telling us what you are going to do and how you are going to do it, just do it, damn it!" A monumental waste of time, sorry dude!

    That’s amazing odometer mileage. Little tip for anyone else doing same repair to line up those back shaft splines, put the transfer case into neutral. Take back joint off rear pumpkin, transfer case in neutral and few tries you’ll have it lined up and be able to tighten rear ujoint bolts

    Im shocked that a drive shaft bearing could fail with only a mere 444k miles !

    You skipped over the entire meat of the video. The R&R of the bearing is the information we're looking for!

    Replaced the hanger bearing 3x on my ‘06 MegaCab before switching out to a one piece drive shaft.

    I see someone put a 60 gallon Aero fuel tank in your truck. I have one in my 99 3500 and I love the range it gives me

    My whole truck vibrates as I'm accelerating. It stops when I let off the pedal. Is that a bad carrier bearing?

  • @17madracki17
    @17madracki17 Před 3 lety +1

    Cut the old one with a cutoff wheel. Use a piece of pipe to hammer the new one on. And the drive shaft spline is doubled in two spots. Can only be out 180⁰ mark it before you take it apart. Easy. Lucky me to change mine about every 6 months
