I have a 2011 ram 3500. 167,349 miles on it and this is the 3rd time mine has failed just like yours. I am currently on the side of the highway waiting for a tow truck and to get a hotel room at 600 miles from home.
@@danielkaneff9882 exactly, a complete waste of time! I was thinking to myself "Instead of telling us what you are going to do and how you are going to do it, just do it, damn it!" A monumental waste of time, sorry dude!
That’s amazing odometer mileage. Little tip for anyone else doing same repair to line up those back shaft splines, put the transfer case into neutral. Take back joint off rear pumpkin, transfer case in neutral and few tries you’ll have it lined up and be able to tighten rear ujoint bolts
Cut the old one with a cutoff wheel. Use a piece of pipe to hammer the new one on. And the drive shaft spline is doubled in two spots. Can only be out 180⁰ mark it before you take it apart. Easy. Lucky me to change mine about every 6 months
The skip to "hey now the carrier bearing is on" was the entire part I was hoping to see.

Thanks. Nearly 0 information in the video
Im shocked that a drive shaft bearing could fail with only a mere 444k miles !
You skipped over the entire meat of the video. The R&R of the bearing is the information we're looking for!
Replaced the hanger bearing 3x on my ‘06 MegaCab before switching out to a one piece drive shaft.
Angle grinder with a cutting wheel you can get it off in 5 minutes
What's the part number for the part? I've got a 2012 with the 2-piece 2wd and looking to replace that bearing and the u joints.
Had 2 do that to me so far. 125K on mine. #3 now
Hey, so I just replaced mine on my truck same year and all and now my truck jumps when I’m going at 5mph, any idea what can be going on?
I see someone put a 60 gallon Aero fuel tank in your truck. I have one in my 99 3500 and I love the range it gives me
My whole truck vibrates as I'm accelerating. It stops when I let off the pedal. Is that a bad carrier bearing?

Good tips. Thank you. 👍🏻
You skip the part of putting it on i put my on to far any ideas how to pull it back where I need it without messing it up?
Why the hell did you skip 80% of the process?
Would you hear a thump at stop and go too??
I had to fix this but now, the holes aren't matching.
Damn you didn’t show putting on?
Thank you bro what's your next video please edit all of them non-needed information in lollygagging
mine just failed 156000 miles same exact way. originaly thought it was the universal joint.
jason lender mine broke at 299993
Well thanks for showing how to do it! 😂
That carrier bearing is still connected, and good, just re grease it.
I have 200000 miles on mine and have replaced it 6 times.
Cee Eee Spend the money on a good one. Stay away from the junk they sell at those chain part stores...
Cee Eee your driveshaft might need to be rebalanced as well..,
I’ve burned up 2 in 4 years Went again today that’s 3 🤬
you got ripped off, www.rockauto.com is the place for low prices for top brand names.
Mine failed on my 2011 at 95,000. Looked as bad as your did.
What no I didn't learn a thing
If you had to spin anything to line it back up it's not lined up properly.
Cummins.... Not "Cummings"
