Not to be pessimistic....but wait till water get's in there and it rusts and your galvanized rust, thats why they build them out of brass.....just saying

This video is awesome. Thanks for sharing. You answered a lot of my questions for my own build. He doesn’t have an air mixer valve installed on this setup like you’d see on a traditional propane burner. He’s relying on the jets (which should create their own Venturi/mixing effect) to do the air/fuel mixing for each burner. The pressure and velocity of the gas coming out of those nozzles is somewhat high, which is what allows the jets to work correctly. I imagine that’s why he bought an adjustable regulator - so he could dial in the pressure. I don’t believe the high price fire pit propane jet burners use a mixing valve. Trying to add one to a jet burner setup wouldn’t be safe. That’s the point of putting jets on this setup - mixing propane/air and throwing the flame efficiently.

How do i find out more about this build? i know it was awhile ago, but i have the same truck - looking to do roughly the same thing - and would love to chat.

FYI, galvanized steel releases toxic zinc fumes when heated above 392 degrees Fahrenheit. Just use plain steel pipe and avoid the galvanized pipe, as once the zinc burns off it rusts the same as regular steel anyway.

I made hundreds of gas beacons for the Queen’s jubilee. If you want a hot flame, you want to introduce extra air like a Bunsen burner or the nozzles you bought. If you just want light, you just need holes, somewhere in the 2mm to 8mm region. It really is very simple to make a burner head for a visible flame, a simple box or tube with holes will do.
