    For the first time ever, I just noticed that the 3 main engines on Thunderbird 1 are sometimes rotated 90 deg

    Awesome video mate, thank you for the finer details as I have all the Aoshima TB kits minus the 1/350 TB2 (I built and lit the Super Oversized non-scale version) , the Tiger Moth, the Fireflash, Tractor and the Magnetic Excavator.

    A pity Matchbox didn't release a TB5. Should have been released in a package with TB5. Also dock inside it too as did TB4 in TB2

    Hello again mate, I just got that Thunderbird 5 kit as a Xmas present from my mum and building the kit now.
    But unfortunately I'm stuck at the part of doing the internal electronics which the AIP does come with, but my kit did not came with screws and the one I'm strugeling to find is a 3 (a circle with a line in the middle) 5.8 mm that the instructions says. But I don't know what that symbol means the circle with a line in the middle.
    It's that screw if you pause your vid at 17:24 , it's at the bottom in that transparent square part.

    Hi Thanks for the information on the thunderbird models.I have a question i have just started building the AIP version of the mole when i have come to the wheels and you have to put metal rivets through the wheels into plastic poles could you tell me how two fit these because i found as i hammered them in they started to split the plastic poles .

    Good overview, I’m halfway through TB2 and have the transparent one to build, wish AIP would release the Firefly kit. I saw that Imai released the excavator too.

      Unless it's been retooled, the Firefly is best forgotten: the nose is too flat and the tracks are solid, with wheels underneath

    2:53 hey mate I am going to build my Thunderbird 1 kit soon, I was wondering what kind of magnets did you use for your Thunderbird 1 and what size are they?

    • @dansmodelrailways7886
      @dansmodelrailways7886  Před rokem +2

      I bought some very small, 3mm i think, neodymium magnets from ebay. They are very powerful and cheap.

      @@dansmodelrailways7886 Thanks mate, I look for those magnets.

    Totally FAB! The only problem is that I do not have enough shelve space or even storing space left. To many Andersons models already! I do however already own the original TB5 + 3. I even kept the box intact after building. I actually got a rather big discount on it because one sprue was missing, the one with the antennas end rails for which I was able to make some rather convincing scratchbuilt replica's.
