Welcome to Travel Adventures Australia. In this video, I discover more about the ups and downs of Van Life. We look at the tranquillity and beauty of Somerset Dam and spend some time to regroup. A change of plans due to an emergency trip home. Our final night at a wonderful Free Camp site close to home and the big clean.
Somerset Dam: The picturesque day areas of Somerset Dam are a beautiful place to stop for a quick cuppa, for the day or for water sports. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed at or in Somerset Dam, so I will be unable to visit again when I travel with my pets.

Lake Clarendon: Tucked away in the Lockyer Valley you will find Lake Clarendon. If you love tranquillity this is the place to go. This basic 48hour Rest area is perfect for that break in anyone’s journey.

Eco Flow: Since this video I have updated the river by buying the extra battery which doubles the unit capacity. I love using the Eco Flow batteries as an additive to enable me to charge up the electrics. I am so happy I decided to buy the River; initially with the solar panels. In my van I will be using the Eco Flow for charging anything that is not connected to the van electrical network, leaving the solar panels on the roof to power the fridge, lights and step etc in the van.
Future ideas… I am looking at doubling the portable solar panels that can be linked together to give more power to the battery.
