Could you have had the motor wires pointing down? Instead of them up against the body?

We have tried the motor wires down but they are not really long enough and it's easy to get bits stuck in the wheels hitting the wires :)

What battery do you use for the frog? I can only see it's a 4000mAh one. My Frog is more than 35 years old and after watching your video, am thinking of doing an upgrade too.
I also have to change the remote control - I think it's the original analog 40Mhz version. What do you use - 2.4Ghz? Thx a lot!

Yeh the batteries I run are the zeee 2s 4200 and gens ace 2s 4000mah both work fine, as for the transmitter the flysky G7P is fantastic for the tamiya range as it has loads of receiver options and really good price for a 7ch 2.4ghz radio, I have a playlist for the G7P too :)

It's the stock high speed spur and pinion that come in the frog kit :)

never put motor brushless in my tamiya and traxxas / kyosho / tonka models...
better normal 540 / 550 motor...
kyosho blizzard with twin 380 motors...
tonka truck with kyosho twin 540 motors

I run brushless in the frog and monster beetle both work fine also brushless give much longer run times as the AC motors are way more efficient than brushed
