The movie is a good glimpse of Hansando battle during Imjin Waeran 1592 - 1598. Unfortunately , some artistic liberties were far fetched from its realities... Wakizaka Yasuharu survived the battle and returned to Japan and in fact served the Tokugawa shogunate. Another thing is that, Japanese Naval battles back then was still a concept of boarding enemy vessels and fought on the boat and destroyed it... Naval guns were not exactly used like in the Joseon and Ming naval vessels. Another thing there was a scene , again an artistic liberty from the producer, where Wakizaka Yasuharu shot a Kobukseon using a cannon , in which he took an aim from behind the cannon so closely. In real life , he would have died by the impact of the recoil of the cannon as it shot the projectile.... No kidding.. in the movie , he just took aim calmly...ha ha ha... Wakizaka would be massively broken all over his chest by the recoil.. his armour wont protect him either. Kato Kiyomasa was also a nemesis of Konishi Yukinaga , since he had a superbly bad temper and will pick a fight with anyone except his own Lord. Wakizaka was a minor daimyo, which in the movie was portrayed as having ambition as big as Kato or Konishi... in real life, a guy like Wakizaka wont crossed paths with Kato unless he had absolute advantage over him.

it is. different actor but same character. a prequel to roaring currents. It is an amazing movie.
