Do They Know It's Christmas is one of my pet peeves, but Thomas The Tank Engine is a joyful childhood core memory.

Funny, as a kid I always thought “Do they know it’s Christmas” sounded like Donald and Douglas’ theme, but now that I listen to it again, definitely sounds more like Edward’s

Son of a gun I knew James theme was based around a Jazz theme I just could never find it and I felt like Mr Ryan mentioned it in one of his old fact videos. Now It has been found again.

One thing I noticed was that the song, James the red engine has a part similar to the song, “Crazy little thing called Love” by Queen.
I have an addition:
The Scottish twins’ theme sounds very similar to the tunes of ‘Dejlig Er Den Himmel Blå’s 3rd and 4th lines. This song was written by author, poet, Pastor and more, N.F.S. Grundtvig

Another theme that sounds kind of similar is Diesel’s theme to the song Stand By Me.
I always thought that Percy’s theme from the classic area sounds like “Break my Stride”
The hardest music to find any similarities is Percy's series 1 theme as no music sounds like that (except Pingu's series 1 TV intro theme or some other cartoon)
are these just coincidences or did they actually inspire thomas themes after themes from the past?

This isn't technically Thomas music, but I've always thought the credits theme from TUGS sounds kinda similar to the opening of "Welcome to the Black Parade".

Maple Leaf Rag by Scott Joplin sounds like the Thomas and Friends Theme Song

While I do know James' theme is similar to the Busse Bounce, I also find it similar to the Inspector Gadget theme. The similarity is more prominent with James' S1 Triumphant Theme. Am I the only one who noticed this? Also, I've not made the connection between Henry's and Batman's themes until now somehow lmao
Oh my goodness. Maybe at some point, I could make a video based on this. I can imagine seeing the Yellow Submarine moving around while the song "Rules and Regulations" plays out and then people say, " Oh my, they are so similar."

The problem with the danny elfman Batman theme(1989) being similar to the Henry’s sad theme(1984), is Henry’s sad theme was 5 years earlier, so it’s more of a coincidence than anything.
Was henry's depressed theme used in the sad story of henry along with coal the flying kipper and devious diesel deed which was used for duck when he goes to edward's station

Rules and Regulations does have a few similarities with the original Neighbours theme tune in places.
Edward's theme and Do they know it's Christmas time is kinda iffy for me I can hear some similarity but I think James' theme and Henry buses have more similarities
