I just ordered What October Brings. I've been wanting some spooky short stories.

Harvest Home has been on my tbr for a long time now. I think you just pushed it up the list for me. Loved the miniseries of it starring Bette Davis when I watched it last October.
Sounds like you have a very enjoyable October planned!

Yeah, it’s one of those I keep meaning to read and just hadn’t gotten to.

One of my favourite types of videos you put out, Phobophile, is your monthly book updates.
It still impresses me how many of them you read in a month!
I love discovering new and exiting reads that I'd never hear of otherwise. So thank you sir!
And a big congratulations on your CZcams success and new publishing company 🙏
I am from Ontario, Canada, which I assume your newest book will be available in, so I will be making a purchase as soon as I can.
I've been an avid cinema fan for decades, which is what my own channel is based on, (154 subs, waiting for that 154 000) haha. But really picked up reading in the last couple years. And of course, horror is always one of my go to genres, anytime.
So just wanted to say congrats and keep up the good work 👍

Thanks! The book is indeed available in Canada. I can sell it directly, but I suspect in your case you might want to go with Amazon or a local bookseller to minimize international shipping costs.

Excellent list! The only one I've read is A House With Good Bones, and I loved it! Mary is next. Looking forward to your reviews!

Glad to hear one of them is good. Looking forward to it.

I think so. Now to just find the time for all of them…ha

I have a couple of these on my own TBR, along with HEX by Thomas Olde Heuvelt, which seems to have some of those autumnal/folk horror vibes that I love this time of year. If I may, I suggest MELMOTH THE WANDERER by Charles Maturin; I'm prepping a session on it for an academic conference next year, and, while it's not specifically "Halloween," it is good demonic Gothic fun.

      @Phobophile  Před 7 měsíci +1

I’ll give that a look. Probably won’t be this month, but I’ll check it out.

My youtube is haunted, it unrung the bell again after I just turned it back on after I missed 2 videos.
I'm reading Moonflowers and Nightshade which is a collection of sapphic horror, after that I have Deadlier Than the Male which is classic mystery/horror writen by women
I won't have as much time for the spooks as I'd like bc my bookclub is trying to kill me again with Middlemarch by George Elliot, but I'll try to work in one of these (although I already have read your book which is most important of course)

Middlemarch is well worth the effort.
As for CZcams being haunted…I wish they’d tell us more about how things work so we could deal with that sort of thing.
