    The arrival of this guide is spot-on! I recently got Riffle, and it immediately jumped to the #1 gearlock I'd play next. By the way, it's so amazing to see you here, Liz! I'm a big fan of Beyond Solitaire. Didn't know you were doing these guides, so I'll definitely watch a few others, since your explanations are both very helpful and crystal clear.

    Just got into TMB a couple of weeks ago and I had no clue this character existed, these videos have been a great help into learning some of the more complex Gearlocs and I was surprised to see one I never saw before, looks extremely fun! This one (as soon as it is available) and Carnage are the characters I'm the most interested in buying once I have some money to spare!

      I have played both Riffle and Carcass, and they are fun, you will enjoy them.
      Fair warning: be careful. When I first played Carcass, I got the Gearloc child early in the adventure, and it crippled me not having item slots for my recipes, so if you run him, don't include that content.

    One of my favourite Gearlocks. Job well done!

    I LOVE Riffle, Particularly as a Magician, the incorporation of the deck into play is Huge (Don't sleep on it, even early 2 card combos can be a Huge help, and leaving at least one bone, lets you heal out of turn (Assuming you have Blood, or Visions in hand), potentially life saving.

      Big time magician and poker player here. So this instantly became my favorite too! A little cardistry before starting and then some serious hand management. So fun

    I need to get my hands on this guy. I guess I just need to keep my eyes peeled and hope it will ship to Australia

    Question: For bleeding chips, is the bleeding effect die placed on the same number as the number on the skill die? (ie if the skill die is at three does the baddie get a 3 bleed effect?)
    Question: Is there a particular reason the numbers on Riffle's character sheet are not in order? (ie all other gearloc skill dice are presented from lowest to highest number posible on the skill die, where this is the only one (from the characters I have at least) where the numbers on the sheet, for this particular die, do not. They are presented as 0,1,2,3,1,2. Instead of what I would expect 0,1,1,2,2,3.)

    One related/unrelated question: why don't you post these guides on BGG? I tried looking for videos on various Gearlocks and the video section on BGG was empty

    I just played Riffle this last weekend. Went to look for this video and forgot it hadn't come out yet so had to learn on my own. Really enjoyed Riffle. Cant wait to play again. Love the videos. Any chance on doing a tyrant video series?

    Thank you for the Video! The first 4 Dice, the Deck Builder Profession, have to be exhausted too, after using, correct? And if they are exhausted, or better while they are exhausted, do they still "count" as "learned" to determinate how many Cards a Card Combo can include? Or does a exhausted Deck Builder Dice, reduce the Card Number you can handle in a Card Combo?

    • @ChipTheoryGames
      @ChipTheoryGames  Před 10 měsíci

      They do have to be exhausted but they will still count towards your card combo count. Exhausted dice are not unlearned.

    What do you think might be the best Co-op Gearloc for Riffle? He seems to be weak for true Solo, so far, in my experience…

  • @ryanrhinoceros2123

    With riffle’s Innate+1 if they have a full hand of vision cards can they apply any straight flush effect? Or for example do they need 1 gear and 4 vision cards to deal 5 true damage to any baddie?

    • @ChipTheoryGames
      @ChipTheoryGames  Před 10 měsíci +1

      The main thing to keep in mind is that Riffle's Innate+1 only makes the number (not the suit) wild when used in Matching and Run combos. Full House, 4 of a Kind, and Straight Flush are not considered to be any of these types of combos and thus can't have any vision wild conditions applied when constructing them.
