- Visit www.miriamlavelle.com. A high res clip of the beautiful and talented Miriam LaVelle performing her usual acrobatic dance routines in the 1943 Busby Berkeley flick The Gang's all Here. As always, she only played a small supporting role and was uncredited. Where did this lovely lady disappear to? I've managed to get an 8 X 10 inch studio photo original of this dishy gal - will post it with a musical back ground.

at age 9 this lady was teaching other acrobats.....she was beyond amazing.
Wow ive seen most of the dancers from this era but not come across her before amazing shes obviously had some childhood gymnastic training going to check her films she was in a maze zing

Jesus! Her skill is phenomenal! I'm honestly shocked that she is not well known today. The unknown mother of break dancing and the creator of the "1990".

Unfortunately, she died October 1958, supposedly of kidney failure.
sadly she died at age 31.. She left breakdancers a great video to watch. the 1990s move.

I'm just watching her do her level best to save wartime let's put the show on right here in the dockyard musical Meet the People with her act. She can't manage that feat, nobody could, but by heck she gives it a go bless her

My god she's good, I heard she' wish s still alive :) I wish she'd preform this again. Any other movies where she does this? She was in 5 movies , wish she was in more.

A friend of Miriam's that I had a long conversation with said that she died of Nephritis, which according to one commenter is sometimes a euphemism for Cirrhosis. We'll never know.
Irritatingly the commentary on the otherwise very good Masters of Cinema release spends this whole sequence droning on about Carmen Miranda's makeup issues and not even giving LaVelle a name check!
