What is the most broken champion that you remember playing against, and from what patch/season?
maybe broken
but for sure way better to play then now
you dont have CCed by fk ADC for 2.5seconds on your AAs hmmm nilah hmmmmmm and this whore champion gets more EXP ON ADC why? because riot thinks they can balanced champion with broken abilities
akshan W blocking this champion from being balanced
samira literaly get as fast 6 stacks as possible there is ONE COMBO ON COMBO CHAMPION literaly karma have more combooooooo and 360 wind wall on adc that last almost 1s because WHY NOT
viego passive hmmmmmmmmmmm we can balance this champion
smolder literaly POINT AND CLICK CHAMPION WITH %MAX HP true dmg yeaaaa we can balance ANY CHAMPION WITH %HP true dmg YES fiora and vayne very BALANCED
kysante LITERALY ENTIRE KIT TO GARBAGE NOW!!! srsly impossible to balance abilities ALL
BRIAR literaly the most brain dead champion in entire game yuumi or trundle or trynda ARENT EVEN CLOSEEEEEEEE TO BE THAT BRAIN DEAD not even fk close
she is literaly press R or W and then point and click enemy thats entire champion literaly remembering how you max your ABILITIES is harder THEN PLAYING THE CHAMPION!!!!
naafiri similar to smolder point and click champion basicly cuz Q on mele range is basicly undodgeable if naafiri wont throw it diffrent way
belveth close to point and click with her fk W being so big its impossible to get out if you dont have any dashes or MS boost
zeri very balanced champion BUFF>NERF>NERF>BUFF>NERF>BUFF>NERF> NERF>BUFF>NERF
zeri is the seconds senna but senna is almost every second patch with her stupid passive adc>support>adc>support>adc>support>adc>support
gwen her fk W and OFC %hp TRUE DMG because why not
yone is just joke of a champion literaly the worst players are playing that he is INSANLY broken and have 48% winrate bruh learn how to fk cs you are literaly playing one of the easieest champions to cs and you suck COCK at it
and thats most of those new champion very BALANCED and FUN TO PLAY veryyyyyyyy
im not gonna even tank about crit rn with fk buffs on OP armor pen items and lethality and fk rabadon being stupid item and same with fk void staff and static should be removed cuz its stupid item you literaly cant balanced this item
no
The 98% ban rate Kassadin was a wild one too 💀
good point lol
it was 98% pick/ban rate if iirc. I played kassadin a lot during that time
@@korgaw8563 i dont think u played kassadin a lot during that time XD
@@tomaskubanek4290 well i mean in normals etc
i remember 3 constant bans in ranked... Kass, Shen, Amumu... I specifically remember seeing those 3 banned at all times.
Sunfire stacking Eve still haunts my dreams
Sunfire, spin to win Garen is my sleep paralysis demon.
As a player switching to dota, this reminds me of pudge with invis rune or shadow blade...
Riki (perma invis) with radiance???
@@plaintext7288but riki with vengeance is funny af, though
why am i melting?
@@mendronesg
Riki with Dark Seer's Ion Shell was fun too
I miss Nidalee spears damage scaling on distance from her CURRENT location rather than when she threw it. The throw-catform jump oneshots were glorious.
Oh yeah I always wondered how they used to deal godly amounts of damage lol
nah that's a very silly mechanic, turns her into a champion with 4 aestetic abilities and the only things you need are the jump and spear
@@kinkinTheWild it also just had better damage numbers in general - max base damage was 575 instead of the 450 it became immediately after her rework, and the maximum ap scaling was 165% instead of the current 150% (was 120% immediately after rework, eventually got buffed)
as a new player its really cool seeing the old game and how the game has changed your also the only real lol ytber i watch
YES SIR especially looking at the old jungle in League is just CRAZY
As an old league player this shit is still wild. I remember when jayce came out and elo inflated me so hard. OH and Diana
Yeah!!
Rush best lol CZcamsr
The nostalgia..
AP xin zhao was a nightmare to fight against before. his 3rd hit heal was 90% of your ap and old league has a lot of on hit AP items before like malady
And tower shots damage didn’t scale so he could just walk to a tower and punch it down without any minions 😊
@@minutosdesapercibidosesp-e4508 the funny part here is he straight up heals using the tower right in your face before he hits you with his 3rd skill
lol dont know how many time i abused of the NAshor tooth, Lichbane and Rabadon build on Yasuo. I wouldn't even care at all about enermies or minions. i was just running down a lane, get to the tower and start blasting and healing lol.
@@JeffreyBezeau Yasuo? You mean xin, right? Yasuo shouldn't be healing off of that, nevermind that by when he got added I'm pretty sure tower shots already scaled.
Well, some contenders for the oldies:
Kassawin 99.55% ban rate
AP Yi
AP Sion
Old Fiora with 112 AD level 1
Old Evelynn (AP was a menace too, not just that Sunfire thing)
AP Nasus when his ult had 100% ratio
Release Zyra
Release Graves bursting you 100-0
Release Riven
Release Diana
Release Darius
Old Passive Draven (RIP Blood Brothers)
Mordekaiser (numero uno)
Ryze was OP a LOT of times too
Old Poppy
The legend of Weedwick 4.20 patch
Very often a champion was busted because of the meta, too. Like Fizz/Ekko tank era, or Naut/Maokai giga tank era, red smite shyvana/hecarim top with ignite and tp, and even the infamous black cleaver era, too.
Gp crit on q spell
pantheon with black cleaver too
Holy old Draven passive I totally forgot about that
huehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehue Mordekaiser es número uno huehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehue
If fioras old ulty was still in the game I might not have quit lol.
For me kassawin and skarner are 2 of the most broken champs every existed in league history.
Especially kassa before the rework probably had 90% ban rate and around 70% win rate, considering that today we consider op champs that have 53% w/r is pure insanity.
New players will probably never experience what really is a broken champ
Kasa is still broken nowadays
@@ValExp543 kassa nowadays is a complete joke of what he was in his prime
@@ValExp543 He's definitely not
Stacking Kass ultimate in base, tp, one shot. Oh the days.
we had 65% winrate Maokai not too long ago.
I miss Veigar being the Anti-Mage, where you can one shot mages with your ult based on how much AP they have. You can only counter Veigar if you don't play mage against him.
Or simply with more range, like Lux, Nidalee, Xerath, Ziggs.
oh yeah. he had so much free mana back then!! free chalice passive iirc.
That shit is uninteractive as hell lol. Let me play the champ I want without this counterpicking point and click dogshit.
@@famulanrevengeance3044id honestly rather have that than having 200 years champs running rampant every patch or so.
@@stankobarabata2406 Veigar design is fine, there were moments in time where his cage was busted with a bunch of cdr but besides that he was always fine.
But making him specifically an anti mage is stupid. Nothing in League should be safe or guaranteed, you should always struggle and not ''me play Veigar you play AP champ me win ooga booga''
The client was way better
That is pure nostalgia. Just because the new one has issues doesn’t make it worse than that ugly shit we used to use
The old login screen with the background music was definitely way better. Idk abt the client as a whole
@@willokeefe1135 it was definitely better in the way that it didn’t push content on you all the time at this level.
nope. was always shit

I almost got the victorious Janna😢. I endured invisible eve with sword of the divine, rize's ups and downs, khazix's terror reign (assassins in general), the "better nerf irelia" era, AP Master Yi, AP Tristana, deathfire grasp on ahri, Draven's dot on passive, so on and so forth.
Actually they still should nerf Irelia
AP Trist was so weird, fully forgot about that
Man, I remember offtank manamune ryze, getting really tanky while still doing insane dps in fights. Good times.
Not as goated as statikk shiv triforce alistar top, back when his ultimate gave him stupid amounts of AD for no reason and he could weave an auto in his W, so you always won trade by just doing w+sheen auto.
AP Sion was an actual menace back in the day. Point and click stun that chunked for half ur hp and a shield that did the other half. Gunblade made you immortal, and the shield scaled with ap if I remember correctly. Ad sion was no pushover either. I’d have like 500 ad with three lifesteal items and 4k hp before 30 minutes. Add an atma’s impaler and by the end of the game you were sitting on easily over 600 ad and would heal like 1k per auto with ult active. Grievous wounds was a joke to og sion. Miss the good old days.
The AD Sion fountain dive 1v5’s 😂😂😂
The point and click stun alone was wild, and that's only a small part of it
I still remember to this day playing draft, enemy locks in LB first pick and our team counter picks AP Sion. She never stood a chance. Old League was wild.
The Morde iteration where they gave him his triple bonk and dragon ghost was some wacky shit.
Just oneshotting anybody that wasn't a full tank with the 3rd Q, being able to 1v5 if you had a dragon ghost, playing him mid and healing half your hp off the wraiths with your W...
Man i miss Old old morde and new old morde.
Playing Duo Bot with Mord + a competent Sup with engage was so much fun.
@@khankhomrad8855 mord leona went hard af back then, the opponent just kinda lost lane as soon as leona got her level 2
And I still want a classic mode more than anything in the game
Agreed! I wonder if Riot will do the Blizzard classic: "you think you do, but you don't."
@@myth-leagueoflegends Riot never admits mistakes and failing to make their game better after over a decade is too much to accept. They know it will kill every other game mode and don't want that even though it will make the game boom again

Riot's spaghetti code being so bad removing a comma from a txt file removed cooldowns from active items was a wild ride.
I really liked this video, as a fairly newer player it’s super interesting seeing how strong some of the weaker champions today were once at an imaginary level. Great video!
Tbf none of these champions are weak today :')
Glad to hear it!
I dont think it ever has been something more broken than 2013/2014 Kassadin with the almost 100% ban rate
I played all thru that era and don't even remember Kass being that OP lol maybe he was just being banned all day long and I didn't notice
@@kinkinTheWild kass was basically permabanned in both comp and soloqueue. He scaled just as hard as he did today, but he also had a decently strong laning phase, between better ratios on his abilities, his q being a point and click silence, and his W letting him sustain mana more effectively than today. His R had way more range, and its mana scaling with repeated uses was significantly lower, meaning he actually had a very strong all in at level 6 already. Plus, he screwed the mostly ap-centric mages that were very common even harder, since his passive meant he would win trades with just his Q and E even while eating a full skill rotation from something like Orianna. About the only mid laner that threatened him well was Zed, which, fair, but even into Zed Kassadin was strong because of how hard he could scale.
The old summoners rift had such a great feel to it. It felt like a spooky forest, but felt cozy at the same time. The Winter skin on the original summoners rift was also awesome
This is a great channel and very well done video. Really look forward to seeing you delve into more champs / items as the years went on.
Kassadin 99.55% ban rate, please
I used to really struggle against yasuo. Dashing everywhere, massive damage, insane healing, good in lane, in sidelane, even in bed ; nah I really thought he was a menace
These league history videos are super cool and nostalgic to see. Keep it up man, you are cornering a niche that a lot of old and new players will appreciate
Thanks for the feedback - more Old League stuff coming very soon
It feels nice that xin being mentioned in busted champions. Glad to know that it wasn't a fever dream
I miss the Katarina before they did her recent rework. I hate that you have to set up every time with her daggers now.
great vid, looking forward to seeing the next
I’m so glad someone finally did this so all these season 8 kids will finally understand the pain of us season 1 players getting 1 shot in silence by a lvl 6 kassadin//leblanc
I played back in these days:) I'm glad this game took off like it did but I miss the days before ranked came out. The game was so chill.
Still prefer S1, S2, S3 over any Season after 5 :D. It was so much more fun back there
i agree now its every new champ is broken and stupid too many champs with global ults or stun
pick eve, build magic pen bots and 5 sunfire cape, win the game, they cant see you, you kill them in 5 seconds with no counterplay, that worked for 2 years, good old times :D
@hernangomar5445
That was a meme build. Anyone above 800 elo was smart enough to buy a pink
except for you could just buy an oracle potion for 400 gold and see everthing invisible within like a 400 range radius.
tell me you never played season 1/2 lol
Xin carried me through a lot of games. I remember Tiensi no Akuma playing him, besides his signature katarina, mid and even top. I've used to buy red flask, kill the golens on my way to lane (red side), and baiting my opponent. BoxBox did that with riven too.
Sunfire stacking in Twisted Treeline on Shako, when the Sunfire effect duplicated on the clone, was wild. Pop out the bushes and everything you touched died
Revive/teleport with all global picks was wild as well. IIRC it was Shen, TF, Noc, Panth, and a spellcaster of your choice. If anyone got gone on, everyone smashed ults or had the guy drop a ward, and if they died, they'd respawn and hit the opposite lane. I think the fastest game I ever had with friends was 9 minutes.
I started right between Poppy rework and Jhin release
So I missed almost every golden era.
No way near to play those broken champions.
My most frustrating to play against is Garen (ultra unbalanced, overturned, no weakness, cancer).
Right at the end of this season, the most beautiful broken masterpiece created until now was Camille
She was released like 3 weeks later than she was supposed to, the hype was real.
When she came out she was so broken, on top of the new adaptive Force feature, she was so fun and overpowered, I had the best of times back then.
Please continue to make this videos, the longer the better.
Thanks so much
Keep it upiiii]; )'
I'm so glad you finally released a new video :)
Thank you! I'll be uploading much more frequently going forward
@@myth-leagueoflegendsGlad to hear it, I dig the content and it gets a sub from me 😊
I remember the night Leblanc went live. Played in a PC cafe with my friends and I was killing the enemy mid laner at level 3 with no effort, no mind games. Her combined ap ratios were in a different league. I think the only counter was Galio at the time, due to the magic resist runes they'd use in their pages.
There's a lot of stuff I thought was ridiculous but most of the time it took someone else's mistake to get the champion to scale that hard. Leblanc was an obvious exception and it was the reason she got fixed immediately.
0:30 AP YI BABY. 5k healing over 5 seconds. you aint dying from anything
Regardless of the early days, it baffles me how upset people get over balance now considering that Riot understands now more than ever the state of a champion on release. That doesn't mean they are balanced on release, but they have a full process and understanding as to where to go from there and an explanation as to why a champion releases strong or weak.
It also doesn't help that players do want to play a super strong new champion over one that starts off releasing weak.
The mordekaiser hunts my nightmares with his 1 hit ult that you can do nothing about
started in 2013, 98% ban rate Kassa was something
AP Master Yi
really interesting vid. would love to see more
More to come!
i cant believe you would hit me with the most nostalgic thing i wish riot would bring back. sweet winter map
Pls bring a footage of old xin zhao oneshotting whole enemy team with his old R and he himself getting oneshotted by thornmail😂😂😂
..... I will never forget... I think around season 6? maybe 5? idk. I remember it died down a bit and then Jinx came out.
Master Yi was an absolute frickin menace and everyone had one on their team if they could. it was a fight to get first pick because there was Yi.
He'd ult, Run in, and you were all guaranteed dead.
This was about the time I got bored and decided to learn Shaco because I had no clue how to play around him when the enemy jungler would randomly pick him.
So I locked in Shaco, Stuck a box to hopefully watch for gank. We were getting kills as the ward spotted Master Yi coming in at mach 5, locking lips with my box and retreating just as fast.
It was then that I realized Shaco completely dominates yi and I spent a large majority of my lane time ditching my ADC just to make the enemy Yi's life miserable.
Good times.
Jinx came out in season 3 lol
"Ditching my ADC"
this was Shaco SUPPORT?
Fear is actually one of the hard counters for movement speed builds, cause you run away just as fast, it's almost a better version of snare or stun(if you're not going for a kill that is), Fear wasn't the same as nowadays, before it had no slow, it was usually just fear and damage. So for Yi that's immune to slows during ult while also very fast, he would just zoom out of screen view xD you just wasted atleast half of his ult duration if he cast it before entering.
@@ItsSawyer8 Even old players forgot Riot used to release 1 champ per week, now we're considered lucky if they release 2 champs a year. didnt realize it was that early.
In the beta Katerina and Ryze could 1 tap ur whole team with one ult usage and did pretty much the game lasted long enough.
Nice video and a sponsor, great! Weirdly i dont got this recommended like usual
Season 2 ap yi and trynd was so fun. I was a kid with no idea how to play and found the most success building multiple zeals and phantom dancers on chogath.
I started playing around the time that fizz released. Cuz of being a support in this era I still adore thresh to this day.
The big one I remember was yi being a literal instant win if anyone managed to pick him around season 4 or so.
But honestly just seeing old summoners rift makes me desperately want seasonal snap shots for us to play. Season 2 and season 3 were magical times for the game.
I played from 09-2014. Quit for a decade while doing the family thing, and just recently jumped back in to see what it was like now. The game is so different now. I see why they made the changes they did, but it feels like a completely different game now.
I remember playing the League beta in college, and how it looks now is how I see it in my memories. Wild to think it looked that different.
Season 1 was the true shit. We were constantly 5 ppl and experimented with everything. League of tanks (5 tanks), 1lvl gang top or bot lane in mid bush, everybody with portals etc etc. Funniest time in my life.
As already mentioned -
Ap sion
Old ryze (I was always a fan)
Nidalee spears scaling
Ashe arrow (I once stole baron and we won with it and from a great distance)
Munro before nerfs
GP full crit before barrels
Or stacking gold per 5 items :D :D with tanks and supports and everything. I forgot most of the craziest stuff
P.S. Overpower, cleanse and the other summoner spell that you mentioned - attack speed on allies was it?
new here, can't wait for more of this serie!
I started back in late 2012, and at that time, Kassawin was really strong. But I also remember AP Master Yi, AP Tristana, Full AP Sona and many more insanely strong champs at the time.
DFG (tears are shed every time I think of that item) - It did feature in Nexus Blitz though, so it was fun trying it out again.
Oh and the stacking Black Cleaver Pantheon and Riven era.
DFG alone could have a full video honestly, that item was wild.
@@myth-leagueoflegends Leblanc, Ahri and other up close and personal mages loved that item, and with good reason.
I think the closest we have today is Horizon Focus, but it is completely overshadowed by other better options
I miss the original summoner's rift map so much. I started playing in season one, I took a break in season 4 up to season 5 and I continued playing sporadically up until season 9.
I remember the day they announced the rework and I was so mad about it that I actually sent an email to them just talking shit, I was very surprised that I got a response from an unfortunate soul, in the nature of "We are not quite sure what the problem you express is exactly".
The old Summoners Rift had very atmospheric and dark aesthetics, some canceled characters were thrown around as easter eggs, there were a lot of flame torches and voodoo masks around the jungle, various different little magic-induced forests and random platform of runes and jungle camps with actual tents and stuff. The newer map was cleaner, smoother to the eye and more vibrant, it wasn't bad really just a step on a different direction.
Did your Magifelix video get taken down?
I really enjoyed that one
I thought that I could add more to it and make it more comprehensive - I plan on re-visiting it later and going more in-depth! Appreciate the feedback.
They should make a vanilla league of legends with the old champs and maps (balanced that is)
How cool would it be to play old karma, xerath, soraka, Sion ect like the good
old days
"When did you start playing League?"
The question is... "When did I stop?"
Way too late, I have brain damage now.
very good video man , istarted playing league i think season 7 or 6 and currently playing to this day , i dont remember any broken champion cuz i was litte when i was playing
I would really like a video on how to identify mistakes of laners and the enemy jungler because i sometimes don’t know if they made a mistake or not.
Old Fiddle in the Middle was also busted as hell. E dark wind bounced 11 times silencing for 2 sec first bounce and an aditional sec every next bounce. You could just ult the mid laner While he was silenced than fear + drain did the rest.
*insert the critrune gankplank song*
I loved to play xin zhao on 3v3 topside as my 1v1 champion! SOO GOOD!
Maokai before the rework was also amazing!
I very vividly remember Kassawin. And by vividly I mean I never played against him because he was permabanned literally forever. iirc he held the record for highest ban % till they added the ability for every player to have their own ban, allowing for a champion to get banned twice a game. If you ever watched the video for when Riot made Urf, they even joke about this themselves. "We notice player ban rates, and it seems like you just don't like Kassadin. So, we removed him... we also removed Ryze."
I miss so many things about old Darius. The instant Qs, the E's that could pull entire teams over a wall, Shen from his ult (even when he has already teleported!! Worked for his backing/tp's if you E's as the animation is mid teleport, hahaha).
I remember riven also… super long and big shield on a low cooldown
Yeah!
Twisted Fate's global gold earning was a huge reason just to pick him. You helped put your team ahead, even more so with his ult w/ yellow card ready.
Camille and Illaoi release are beasts.
AP GP or AP Master Yi soloing midlane by doing insane damage with 1 skill and also insane healing with 1 other was my kind of gameplay.Imagine almost losing all your lifebar by one skil of your enemy and then IF,big IF, you manage to survive and do some damage back with the help of jungler or something, then your enemy heals from low health to full with 1 skill and miniscule mana cost. It was so devastating to their morale I won psychologically from the start. 🤣🤣🤣😈😈😈
One of the most OP champions that people forget is Vayne. Her numbers were way too high upon release too and it took them like two weeks to nerf her at least. Horrible patch.
Kassadin with 98% ban rate and ap yi just clicking once and deleting all
6:41 i never seen that cinematic of the first 20 champions in the game it looks amazing!
i've never seen it used in any videos, i thought it was cool to see too
@@myth-leagueoflegends Well done!
League WAS broken, no point to argue there!
But at the same time, it was fun.
old AP Gankplank and Master Yi are what made the game so special for me, but alas I went back to DotA after all of these "fun" builds were nerfed.
Came back after like a year or so? Kept spamming Xerath mid which was (and still is) my most favorite champion in the whole game, but again when every single champion had to have some form of dash and jumped across your screen 5 times before I could even finish the animation of my W?
I moved to DotA once again and for good.
I'd rather keep my good memories when I had fun with the game and don't be like one of those who queue ranked games all the time absolutely hating their life and everyone around them :^)
i started playing during season 3 at aatrox's release. I dont remember a lot during those seasons as broken but kalista release was...something definitely also a lot of reworks were incredibly broken like akali and irelia
Exactly, that's what made it a nostalgia because at the time, there's no worry about playing your role's as how its supposed to be since its a "game". Of course feeding and losing are the only two upsetting factors that are still everlasting but what's different now is meta. Pick two junglers or two mids or two adcs and before the game starts war between teammates already began. Meta makes the game more interesting for the current player base since it is influenced by the content creators and esports events and like a shepherd herding his sheep, the rest follows and the devs have no choice but to develop League around meta if they want their game to keep its popularity.
However we are talking about nostalgia and the nostalgic part is that from my experience, its tough af but there was trust between players choosing any champion regardless of role count. Like an open world rpg, you explore the map until you face your enemy. Thanks for reading.
the good old spell succ Annie was something else.
You could try to delete that little bastard just to see a reverse oneshot, witnessing her 300hp left becoming full health faster than lifestealing nowadays.
Divine sword Kog was something else, he would just tear out your health in few seconds, armor itens weren't as good to contain him
what was the bonuses of his bio-arcane barrage back then? and was still magic?
That TF still lives in my walls-.
I‘ve been playing since s4 but one recent champion that haunts my dreams is akshan. I dunno if he was op on release but it certainly felt like it when I played against him for the first few times.
i vividly remember the AP builds like with sion and master yi, it was so hilarious
sion jumping out of a bush and instakilling people with the shield explosion and Q stun
or yi getting pentakills just spamming Q over and over because it resets when you get a kill and insane heals
i quit a long time ago when they started designing shit like fizz and yasuo, but ill never forget the fun i had in the first few seasons
Kassadin was definitely the broken guy when I started playing, also Katarina was not joking around.
I started playing in 2016, and kinda Mained Xin Zhao because I played him a bit and I remeber constantly getting S / S+ with him and shredding every single piece of my enemies
Yes, I was the villain back then 😂
xin was one the fastest clearer in jungle season 1/2
I made it to Diamond in Season 3 playing old Ryze top. Rushed muramana for empowered autoattacks (this literally killed the enemy top lane) and afterwards went for other tanky mana items. You were unstoppable by endgame, easily 1v5ing the whole enemy team.
one of the earliest released champions i noticed was mordekaiser, and he was busted as pretty much every champ they released. i remember the time when akali was broken aswell and how cool it was to get the 3 ninja combo in a team. good old days :D
i liked going full AP nunu snowball maxxed, those things would chunk you so hard with basically no counterplay because point and click. old nunu top was beautiful
I've remember Shaco's Q being a blink with range of whole map :D + invisibility, ofc
I started playing League back in Janary of 2014 and the most absurdly fed and impossible to beat champ I ever seen TO THIS DAY was an intermiate bot Vladmir who was smurfing SO FUCKING HARD on my team. Damn, miss that
the legend is back!
i like details and information :)
if i did not want them i would not be looking at youtube
Ur content is fire bro, keep it up!
Q1 on "Cardmaster" is Axe ability from Dota
Correct me if I’m wrong, didn’t amumus used to reduce incoming damage by 40% also, for the whole silver gaining a Dodge chance while moving I think that would actually be pretty cool if champs could have a chance to dodge auto attacks when moving.
It could be Xin Zhao who still haunts you to this day. Hahahaha ohhh gosh that was real XD
I joined League in season 5. Hype for Worlds 2015 was great and I liked the client more than anything else
Used to watch random high elo games from my client. When they removed this feature to spectate “ongoing games”, I had raised issue on the forum but Riot did not listen
Champs were great too.
I remember playing Olaf in season 2 and with 1-2 bloodthirster i was healing from 10% to full hp in 2 autoattacks. Olaf was original Aatrox.
Olaf can still heal a lot, but nowhere near that level lol
Played both league and dota for quite a bit of years, yeah, early league was a copy through and through. It''s changeda lot since then and can no longer be considered as one.
I've played Old League and old Dota 2, the only thing broken I remember in Dota 2 was base 30 second(no items, no talents) Resurrection ult of Skeleton King(Now named Wraith King for copyright from Blizzard)
Honestly the people that think some of these old champs were broken and would be in today’s league just don’t know how much the game has changed. I need to really do a deep dive on the history to show it, but the damage numbers alone have gotten so crazy compared to back then.
Regardless of the damage numbers beta tf would still be broken today. Doesn't matter if your numbers are shit, just go mid, hit level 2 and then you can teleport stun anywhere on the map. Enemy jungler can never invade again, botlane has to stay under tower permanently. Teamwide free buff on passive and global slow on r are overkill.
@@harryboynton7800 Damage is important but op might be forgetting how OP utility is. Just being able to teleport anywhere as a basic is pretty broken. Doesn't matter if his numbers before are used now when in theory TF would also use the broken items now. Even if he loses lane, he'll just have impact elsewhere by lvl 3. It's like when TP didn't have a cool down before being able to use it on non-tower objects.
Oh I remember Xin Zhao. I would pick him mid with exh and ignite, and explode anything at level 2 without any chance of comebacks. It was fun
Good ole pizza feet champs I love it
8:43 I remember the old Sivir Passiv. She was my first main champ besides Ashe, when I started back in Season 1.
I liked playing as sion. If i was wining, I would build full ap so that I could use my ranged stun and pop the shield for an instantkill. If I was falling behind I would build full lifesteal and never die.
The 1% crit chance rune was busted.
Mordekaiser was crazy strong. My friend and I would feed the enemy ADC so that we could kill him later and revive him with Mordekaisers ult.
Poppys ult was busted too
Sion could be built AP or AD, if AP he would one shot you with his stun and shield
with AD he would fountain dive you AND NEVER DIE, even with anti heals
Yorick would let an ally temporarily live if they were killed while the ult buff was active
Zilean passive used to give extra EXP to ALL ALLIES GLOBALLY
Yi AP was literally unkillable if you had no CC, his W scaled by 4x his AP and gave 300 both defenses instead of the now 55% dmg reduction
Gragas E went through minions and his W was what his passive now is + mana regen too
Katarina would make penta kills in less than a second, I dont remember her kit much anymore, I just know her W was amplified your Q and Q marked enemies for something
but her CD refresh was a full reset on kill, not just 15s and no 3s before kill condition
good ol' better nerf Irelia because old Irelia was always OP
Q refunded mana and CD on kill, W stunned if your HP% was higher than hers, E gave true dmg and life steal to her attacks and R also had life steal on opponents hit while passive gave her TENACITY which increased the more enemy there was than allies nearby
[edit] oh and lets not forget Taric. Man could solo bot lane after ulting. who needs the adc anyway?
Theres even an old animation that Im sure many know of, that emphasized on this Taric.
people love to bash on Riot now that they make so many broken champions and old days were much better but they forget old stuffs were much worse when compared to their respective times
and not just champions, items too
like is no one gonna talk about Malady? Madred? Testament of Will? you know, the OG spell vamp item?
or summoner spells
like Surge, which when removed, was passed down to guinsoo (on top of guinsoo's extra hit, guinsoo was ridiculous at that time) and still lives to these days but as a watered down version on Malmortius
or Promote, which was basically banner of commands, but the minion you promoted gave you the gold of what it killed
only reason ppl prefer old times is for 2 things
1: nostalgia
2: the community was much dumber so many didnt know anything so they spent time having fun than trying to win the games
but also because we were much dumber back then is why ppl dont realize just how much broken old days were, cuz nobody knew jack
I can assure you, if they were to implement the old stuffs without changing it to fit the current balance, they would 100% break the game more than any champ or item would these days.
