I was there, my first concert. You are correct. It was supposed to rain all day and that's the only time it rained. After the song Roger said "I don't think the Stones could top that one."
@@billhoerner6236 I recall that the dark clouds came rolling in while they were playing 5:15, and it started to rain. The crowd began to bum at, some people actually were getting ready to leave as the rain got harder. The Who seemed to bring 5:15 to an earlier end. Then went into Love Reign O'er Me. The crowd freaked out and got into dancing in the rain. It poured rain and music. The rain stopped at some point. Everyone was uplifted and ready for the music to go on forever. Or maybe it was the opium that made me dream all that up. Thanks for the pics Michael.
I was passed out in the sun with no shirt on with one of those kidney shaped leather Bota bags filled with vodka on my chest during The Clash. My buddies woke me up before The Who came on and I stood up holding my Bota bag over my head yelling for the Who. My buddies were laughing because where my Bota bag was hanging on my chest was kidney shaped white and the rest of my chest was sunburned lobster red. LOL

I was there- working as an EMT. The first annual Who Farewell Tour. Great show.
