Thanks for this video! After watching your video I was able to remove the indicators from the mirror and ordered replacements. I saved over $150 doing it myself versus having the dealer do if for me. The parts came today and I was able to install them quickly. I appreciate people like you who take the time to do helpful videos.
I just bought a 2010. The dealership ordered the assembly for me and I was going to take it to them and have it repaired under the 3-year new car warranty I bought with the vehicle. This looks fairly easy to do. The only thing that scares me is breaking that mirror while pulling it out. I was very fortunate with this van as it is a one-owner vehicle with no accidents and very well taken care of with low mileage. More comfortable than the luxury cars I have owned. I'm 58 and kind of a mixed bag of nuts but I am a pilot, a biker, and I like cats so you figure me out. Oh yes also, I ride horses. The irony of it all is my wife has the pickup truck! Very well done video and thank you for posting it.
Thank you so much for this video instruction - we're in the UK and this is the only video we could find - both the left and right LED units were broken on our car and our original dealership wanted us to buy two complete wing mirrors at £800 without painting and fitting! You're a genius and a gentleman.
Good tips! Thanks for the video! I just replaced the lights on my parents' 2011 T&C. The Chrysler dealer quoted them $1200! I got the lights on Amazon for $40 and thanks to your video, had both mirrors done in about 15 min! One difference... On the 2011, you can tilt the mirror all the way down and reach a long flat blade screwdriver in from the top to pop the bracket. Easy! Then the light can pop right out! No need to risk breaking the mirror. I hope this little tip helps someone!
I was able to access the clips from above, without having to remove the mirror. With the electric control, I moved the mirror down and in, and then I used a screwdriver, the same size shown in the video, to loosen the clips. It came out very easily afterwards. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for your help. My Chrysler main dealer wanted £795 to replace both turn signals. The parts cost me £110 including delivery from the US and I fitted them in less than 10 mins with the aid of your video. You are a star.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!!, like so many before me. Very good information, I only watched half of the video and then went out to do both sides of the van. Thanks again, saved me time and money. Much appreciated. 😘
easy peasy... thank you so much... saved us over $800 that the dealership wanted... they change the entire mirror assembly and have no other options for their valued customers... thanks a lot for nothing Chrysler... thanks alot for everything for people like you that contribute to the online community. a big thumbs up!!
Just replaced left mirror turn signal for '13 T & C as shown here . Was concerned about removing the mirror glass, but it went perfectly. The job took less than 15 minutes. Make sure you have good lighting.
Most difficult part was unplugging the old signal. It is installed in 2008. Been there for 9 years. Finally got it done. Otherwise, your instructions were perfect. Thanks.
Thanks for the video. This morning I noticed that my wife's 2011 T&C had both lenses missing. It would be so nice if we could just buy new lenses and glue them back on. No such luck though.
Great video. I also own a 2011 Town and Country and also suffered the lenses coming off the turn signal lights. I ordered the replacement parts and this video helped a bunch. Thanks a bunch to the persons you put this excellent video together. Great job.
Agree with Hernan below. I also just positioned the mirror in the housing so I had the most room to look in at the upper LH corner of the housing. If you watch this video showing the part, you'll know what you're looking at when you look in there. I too was able to release the big clip, then pry down carefully where the two other protrusions were on the part and it came right out. New one snapped in easy as can be. Thanks a million to TheBorgVideo for posting this video! Was exactly what I needed.
Thanks man I bought a 2008 at a dealership 2 days ago and the guy tried telling me he couldn't have them fixed before we bought it because he would have to replace the whole mirror I showed him this video and part numbers got the parts in today thanks again
Thanks for hooking me up. Now I'm mad at the dealership for telling me it's a big expensive job and they have to remove the whole mirror assembly. Bastards. Took me 2 minutes.
Thank you so much for putting this video together. Judging by how many views it's had it's a design issue on these vans (which are otherwise, in so many ways, great vehicles!) But you really helped a lot of us out by posting this video. Thanks again!!
Thank you for taking the time to record this video and make it public. I replaced the part is about 10 min with no problems because I was able to watch you do it.
THANKS! I had the same problem on my 2012 T&C. I got the part at the local Chrysler dealer and replaced it myself. Your video was very helpful. I didn't realize the mirror just popped off.
Nice job. ebay doesn't seem to be any cheaper than the dealer at around 63 bucks. If anyone finds a cheaper place I would sure love to hear from you. Thanks for the video! It was very helpful. Nice job with one hand! lol
This helped a lot! We ordered a replacement and my husband just installed. Once he was done I looked at the driver's side, and noticed the plastic outer part of that one was also missing.
Good video, I have just replaced both turn LEDs with Dorman equipment on my 2008 T&C 4.0L. Note 1: I didn't have to take the mirrors of the engines. It's possible to reach the front plastic lock on the LED with a flat screwdriver from under the mirror when pulling it out as much as possible. Note 2: The Dorman LED didn't fit first. I had to take away the two plastic lock knobs on top of the LED with a fine file,
Thanks for this video, I was able to do it myself and save $400.00 that were going to charge me on the dealership for change both of them. I only spend $94 dollars instead.
Thank you very much for this inforamtional video. I have a 2009 can you tell me if this method can be applied to my year vehicle? I looked in ebay and cannot find for 2009.
Thank you for the nice video! I lost the cover on my rt. mirror and was trying to find just another cover to replace it. I thought they would be replaceable to glue back on, but no luck, just the whole unit. I have a question to ask for anyone that can answer. I have 2 lights on rt. side door mirror that light when that turn signal is actuated. Only 1 on the left mirror when actuated. Is the left unit bad and should have 2 lights on too?
Thank you very much...have to replace mine on 2012 T/C not happy with paying 78 dollars for the part tho...but you saved me at least that for the labor....thanks again
DO NOT DO IT THIS WAY! Unless you want to replace your mirror you shouldn't use this method. You have a high chance of cracking the glass. it's much simpler than this. Use a trim tool or jeweler's screwdriver, pry between the LED signal and the chrome mirror trim on the outside of the mirror, pressing toward the van, will pop the the signal out of the mirror. Disconnect the connector, reconnect the new one, and push back into the mirror housing. insert the outside tab first the push firmly against the inside part of the LED and it pops into place. Be careful not to pinch the wires, make sure they are pushed fully into the mirror housing. I appreciate the OP Wanting to be helpful, and I'm not saying his method won't work, but if the mirror is extra hard to pop out it will break. Ask me how I know. Being a highly mechanical person I knew there had to be a better way.
TheBorgVideo, Good job, Thank You,, Sometimes the video along with the sound effects, popping of mirror from motor, give more reassurance of not breaking the thing than any other reassurance. I own a 2012 T & C, uses Part #68052079AC Left (Driver side), Part # 68052078AC Right (Passenger Side) same for 2008 to 2015's I believe. Thought I would post so others would not have to look these up. I wonder if anyone has any feedback on the longevity of the replacements?
Easier to drill through from the outside and break it out in pieces. You can see through the space behind the mirror where you are drilling. Better than breaking the glass.
Ironically I bought a 2011 same color 2 nd hand and kept thinking that they should have designed it with a plastic cover to keep the water out😂 Must be a common problem and the glue must be very poor! Will be replacing both of mine. Thanks
Question: I just bought a 2008 Chrysler Van. One light is broken rather badly, the other looks fine, yet neither one works. Do you think the broken one is stopping the other also.? I doubt there is a fuze for just these lights. No other lights not working. I just want to get all working and could buy just one unit if that is a fix. Any idea???.
Very helpful, received the Dorman parts from Rock Auto at about $35/each. They are higher quality than the OEM, which have a cheap faux chrome plastic clip on cover that lets water and debris inside. The Dorman parts look better as well IMHO
Wait till you find out you didn't have to do all that I have 2012 similar to yours same color I was able to pop it out without popping up the glass to bit out
Can you share where you found the turn signal indicator? I need one for my 2010 T&C Touring edition. Wife got a little close to a pole! :( Thank you for the information.
+Ken Seachrist He just told you Ebay in the video. Now, based on your not paying attention Seachrist, I am thoroughly convinced it was you who got too close to that pole!
Nice video, but if you are going to spend the time making these, can you (and all the CZcamsr's out their) please get a friend or tripod? No one works one handed for the most part... Thanks again...
Anyone looking for these parts, try www.rockauto.com --- they've got parts cheaper than eBay a lot of the time (they've got this part for like $35, and they've got the grille for my truck for like $55, those parts on eBay were $65 and $280 (!!). Worth checking out, I've used them 3 or 4 times and have had exactly zero problems with them.
+Joshua Richards I've purchased stuff from rockauto on several occasions. They are great for having obscure stuff that's tough to find. The only problem with them is the shipping. The shipping charges are very high.
Thanks man I bought a 2008 at a dealership 2 days ago and the guy tried telling me he couldn't have them fixed before we bought it because he would have to replace the whole mirror I showed him this video and part numbers got the parts in today thanks again

Walter Cisar Could you tell me where you ordered them from please?
Thank you, followed your video and this 70ish grandmother and her granddaughter fixed the mirror signal!

Thank you for making this video. I've had the same issue a few times. Didn't want to hassle with the dealer. This was super easy thanks to you.
Just changed mine on my 2012 town and country and your video helped alot!
Great video! Impressed how much you can do with one hand! Passenger side signal on ‘13 T&C is dangling. Super simple fix! Saves $$$!!!
Nice job and appreciate for sharing. I bought one from Ebay for 15$ shipped. Just finished installing it -- 5 min job.
Always nice to save money as well…
Thank you!!! This is exactly the video instruction I needed, because we have the same problem on our '08 on both sides.
Thanks for the video. This morning I noticed that my wife's 2011 T&C had both lenses missing. It would be so nice if we could just buy new lenses and glue them back on. No such luck though.

You've probably realized by now that these vans are trash. Everything brakes on them
Thank you for taking the time to record this video and make it public. I replaced the part is about 10 min with no problems because I was able to watch you do it.
Super appreciate it! Took me all of ten minutes, most of which was watching this video.
Glad to help save a little money!!!
Going have another soon on the blind spot indicators!!! Dealership told me $3000 to replace. Just bought the parts for $600, super easy to do.
THANKS! I had the same problem on my 2012 T&C. I got the part at the local Chrysler dealer and replaced it myself. Your video was very helpful. I didn't realize the mirror just popped off.
Thank you, for your how to video. I was able to change my both side marker lights easily following your video. Many thanks.....
Thanks for this.. it was really that easy to change out the drivers side on our 2013 T&C..
Thank you! You saved me a huge amount of money. It was a 5 minute job, start to finish.
Thanks so much for your video, just what I needed for my 2009 T&C! Really helped on how to snap off the mirror and the clips of the signal. Nice work!
Glad this helped and saved you some $$$!!!
Great video. Just what I needed. I did the Job done in less than 5 minutes. Thank you.
Nice job. ebay doesn't seem to be any cheaper than the dealer at around 63 bucks. If anyone finds a cheaper place I would sure love to hear from you. Thanks for the video! It was very helpful. Nice job with one hand! lol
i just ordered from rock auto aroun 35 dollars each
Always use a tripod, when doing these vids. Much easier...
Really useful vid, thanks!! We had this problem on both sides, and I replaced both of them with the Dorman aftermarket parts. They fit perfect.
thank you.. yeah same issue 2008 town and country
This helped a lot! We ordered a replacement and my husband just installed. Once he was done I looked at the driver's side, and noticed the plastic outer part of that one was also missing.
Thank you . very helpful and well explained
I'm glad it helped!
Excellent video,, thanks bro..
Just trying to help others save some money…
Thank you! Actually need both replaced, was only like $15 for both on eBay now!
Awesome video! Exactly what I was looking for!
Thank you for taking the time to make video. Was very helpful since I had to replace both sides.
Thanks for the video. I have exactly the same problem on both sides of my newly acquired 2010 T&C.
Thank you! Have to replace one on my 2009 T&C, this is a great video on how to do it
Thanks, very helpful.
good video, dont need to remove glass piece, just turn it inward and it gives you enough room to stick a long screw driver in to push the tab in..

Worked perfectly!!
Thank you for taking the time to make this ...saved me a lot of trouble
Thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars 🎉😊
Thank you very much for this inforamtional video. I have a 2009 can you tell me if this method can be applied to my year vehicle? I looked in ebay and cannot find for 2009.
Thanks for the upload. Had to replace the ones on my 2010 Town and Country. Good walk through.
Great video. Thanks for giving me the confidence I can do it myself.
Thank you. This is a great video .
I have a 2008T & C in Japan .
I could not work with one hand , but ... . :-D
I was very helpful .
Thanks! Worked perfectly for my 2013 T&C on the first try!
Excellent video. This really helped me understand what i need to do to fix the exact same problem on my silver 2011 Chrysler T&C...!!!!!!
I just went to Chrysler and they're charging $100 for the part and that doesn't include labor. Thanks for this video very helpful.
great video, i had to change mines out. i was worried about breaking the mirror clips but you said it will be fine and so it was!
Very helpful thank you very much for your time
I did it! Thanks so much!

Have to do the same on my "new" 2012 T/C. Not thrilled with the price of each, but glad I don't have to pay the dealer to do it!
Thanks for making this video , you saved my life
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO!!
Thanks for the video. Ours are broken too on our 2012
Just the tip i was looking for . Thanks a bunch.

You can remove the turn signal without removing the mirror… there is enough room to see to pry it loose.
What would be the problem with leaving the broken indicator as is? I mean, the indicator still works - only the cover is broken.
TheBorgVideo, Good job, Thank You,,

I bought it on eBay.

+DullardGuy
that's hilarious
+Ken Seachrist www.rockauto.com has it for ~$35
This part should not blink so easily when turned on.. It should work in flashes..
Nice video, but if you are going to spend the time making these, can you (and all the CZcamsr's out their) please get a friend or tripod? No one works one handed for the most part... Thanks again...
I just checked RockAuto and again found them at 62.79. Did I miss something? Thanks anyone.
Car mirror turn indicator replacement
my is broken too now here in Toronto Parkview Chrysler CAN $115.00 + tax 14.95 = CAN $129.95 no include labor or happy ending.
Mines was $80 at the dealer but they gave me 25% off because I retired from Chrysler so I ended up paying $60 for a offical mopar part
ya

Wow, those cars are really junk made it with cheap materials. Every thing fail
We have a 2010 that is still going strong. It has need a great vehicle for us.
