Thank you so much for doing this step by step video for folk like myself, those that like to do their own repairs.
I'm so pleased that you did this video for this particular model as my daughter has one and it's only 2 years old.
When viewing previous older Hotpoint dryer repair videos it looks like many design changes have been made, ie no secondary pulley to have to stretch the belt over, like he steel tube tip!.
Am also doing a belt change on her H1D80WUK, and testing of thermostats since no heat was available when machine broke down. I suspect as you have said in your videos's that overloading was the main issue given belt just simply snapped.
In the earlier days, one could simply press a thermostat reset button to reset the thermostats but this is no longer the case with this model as automatically cuts out?
Changing the belt used to mean dropping it in from the front end, think I will now choose the rear/bearing end this time as it looks so much easier?
    Thanks once again.

Hi, good tutorial, many thanks. Do I need to disconnect the belt from the motor to inspect and replace the drum bearing at the rear?

You are welcome mate! Since we work very hard in our warehouse making free video guides, you can always donate us via www.how-to-repair.com/help/buy-paul-a-beer/
Could you also do me a favour and take part in a poll I've made about the lifespan of appliances? You just need to tick one of two boxes. It will only take about 10 seconds. This might help us improve how machines are made in the future😇
      Here's the poll question: www.youtube.com/@How-to-repair/community
Also sharing will get more people to participate and we will have a greater impact with the manufacturers thank you for helping.

Should my drum rotate fairly easy as the belt has got on mine, but the drum requires a bit of effort to move, the bearing looks good.
