Katie's joke was bloody hilarious xxx
Your episodes are lovely. I would love to see MORE OF KATIE'S COOKING! I enjoy watching whatever she cooks, and also the inside sewing/knitting, housework jobs she does. It's all great :)
More to come! I was looking through my cookbook yesterday with that in mind. Kx
I love how Scott says, we don't want to be repetitive....several times...
I had to agree with you about the price of the 2nd hand goods, plus very little quality. Maybe thus last 3 yrs or so people are not downsizing furniture and stuff, rather back to make do and mend. Live your videos and stay dry. 💕🇦🇺
I could watch your channel every day…ya’ll are that good!
I'm laughing crying. Scott is quite feisty today
I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again, Kate has the patience of Job; If it were me I'd be using words that would make a sailor blush!
I bought a mangle for £1 years ago...... used it for ages as I didn't have a washing machine. First time, I forgot about buttons though! 😂
Hi Katie & Scott, you could always make jewelery, with the finds of pottery. They certainly would be exclusive & small, easy to ship. Just a suggestion, don't know if this is in your wheelhouse or something you could consider, seeing as though your trip to Inverness didn't pan out. Best Regards and thank you for your videos. Catherine NSW Australia
Good evening to everyone, from a cold, rainy Port Elizabeth, South Africa. ♥️🌹🐝
I was getting the biggest chuckle out of you two antique shopping! My husband and I have the same luck, too expensive, not for sale or sold! Please don't ever worry about being repetitive, I absolutely love how you share your life and your island is never tiring! Fantastic video, folks. 💝
My favourite entertainment is watching your channel. Scott's winking and comments are uncannily like my partner Wayne. We watched this episode again together and he just cracked up. Some of the humour between you is so similar to our own. Katie I would love to have the stove too ! ♥ Loved seeing your trip to Inverness. Don't ever change Scott and Katie your humour is infectious xxx🌞
I must agree that white vinegar works for mould. I have used it on our leathers and it gets rid of it. Scott Kate keep doing what your doing. Your both strong minded and that's what makes your channel interesting. I love your humor.
🤣🤣 @Mechteld Van Der Star
"start distilling and making moss mountain wiskey"...Why yes, it's been tickling the throats of "Moss Ticklers" everywhere!!!
😂
When you picked up that stool I was thinking it must be a school project, it looks exactly the same as the one my late husband made in the mid 60's 😂
No it's not you Scott, I wouldn't give it house room. You two crack me up 😂 Really enjoy your channel 👍
Scott. - so impressed by the antique shops 😅😅 Love how Katie just walks away ❤😂
😂 we get a chuckle out of you 2. The humor, lol lol lol.😊.
We are coming up on 52 years married, humor is a must. We really like your channel. Keep up the charm and laughter. 🌼
I will never understand why people feel the need to be mean. Leave them alone don't watch if you don't like it. Simple, easy, move on. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Keep up the great videos, Scott and Katy, all the very best. From The Rock, Newfoundland.
Katie's joke was very funny 🤣
I really enjoy this channel. Beautiful landscape, interesting culture, very relaxing.
love the herd of rocking horses!
Oh yes, me too ♥
Scott, I'm with you. As a potter and and an antique lover, I find those ceramic and glass bits and bobs completely fascinating.
Girl you had me 😂😂, I had to lift my head off the pillow to comment, “is there an echo in here” 😅😅
All that water works at the end made me need to pee 😮
Katie, the joke was totally hilarious. Reminded me of Far Side comics but nothing will top the moss tickler 😂
Remember when it used to be March winds and April showers...now it just comes and goes with vengeance and no patterns. The shops are just an hour or two that you will never get back. Good luck with the tanks. I hope the seedlings are doing well!
I love the decorated bits of dishes, because I love to look at the artistic patterns and such that were on them. But they're not completely junk, because there are people that take them and make all sorts of things out of them, such as jewelry or art. So I'm all for looking at them, personally. I can think of a mudlarker who even tries to track down what company made them to get the history of it, which is also fun.
Scott I love your finds, I mudlark here in the US and love finding pottery. I sold antiques for a while also and agree with the assessment about prices!
Scott was on a roll throughout this one!
Scott just scanned the antique store and quickly said “ unfortunately, nothing here”. Man about his business!!Long time since me and the hubby were in an antique shop, used to be a monthly thing for us,unfortunately ( according to our family) we collect too much ‘stuff’. Maybe it’s time to get our rummaging shoes back on?😂❤
Hanging planters for the shell casings
Love the chair😊
😂 oh dear. I don't know why I laughed at that joke but I did! Must be the way you tell 'em. 😂
Scott you had me laughing so much😂at shop
Another lovely video, thanks:) That mangle took me back to wash days with my Aunt, I was always so impressed by the amount of water they extracted. Then, the Church steeple made me think of Norwegian Stave churches, just had that kind of look about it. Such varied content!!
I want the drop tank! Keep it in the byre for me and I'll be right over. 😅
Hahahaha, Katie your joke was funny 😂
Absolutely loved Scott's reaction in the antique shops.....dry but witty sense of humour. Fully intune with it. Oh Katie, that first stove was AMAZING. I so wish you could have bought it. Scenery amazing as always. Errr Katie, please can you explain the joke....I am with Scott on this, I just didn't get it! So love watching your videos. Thank you as always for sharing your life with us xx San your No 1 fan from Liverpool xx
Hiya guys😊 love your dander round the tatly shoppe! The wheels remind me of those on a square wain ( used mainly for moving hay and seasonal ground crops). I have to agree about the dog grate, but understand that Katie wants the stove for baking😅 ln my grandma town house there was a mangle, and it really squished the water out of the sheets ❤watching it being used(was always warned to " get along away out of it!" When it was in use!) Dear Scott,l must agree about cheese scones, used to pinch extra when the hot batches came out of the oven!(& your laughs.) Love watching your episodes and thankyou. Best wishes, Julia. J.I.M.K Mrs. Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺 ❤ 😀 🪃
Mortar cases stacked could be a wine rack !!
Love watching your channel.
You need lot's off live stock.
Chicken
More sheep
Rabbits
And a veg patch.
Sooner rather than later.
One of those big wheels would look so great in my yard. I would plant a different herbs in between the spokes and it would be glorious. I live in Saskachewan, Canada so shipping might be outside my budget.
I love going outside every day to a different season. What will it be? Summer? Spring? Oh, look! Old man Winter has limped back in! I look forward to seeing your next episode!
also, re: being repetitive in episodes: you have to remember there are always new viewers popping in and out, so if something is good, dont worry about being repetitive as there will always be someone that hasnt seen a particular scene before :) all content is good content:)
Oh you two! Your trip to the 'antique shops' - I laughed and laughed and laughed. I could hardly watch the screen. I laughed at Katies joke at the end. Yep, I got it!!
Somebody goes in the IKEA for furniture and next aaaand Kate and Scott in beautiful antiques shop with rural style😍. Funny dialogs!😊🌷
I laughed at the joke. 😁
Hello there, watching you from Mexico, I would love to buy one of your dresses Katie, they are gorgeous!!! Open your online store!
Such a wonderful and relaxing video. Thank you so much for sharing.
This woman is beyond lovely.
Please remind her of how beautiful she truly is everyday good sir.
I watched the slow motion water tank drain 3 or 4 times👍🏻🥰😍🤩
I loved those cookers, and the fire place basket.❤
I believe the wooden spoked wheel would have been from a horse drawn box cart l remember as a youngster loading neeps (turnips) into one.
Watched all your videos to this one finally almost done LOVE WATCHING❤😊
Yay! Thank you!
Just at the start of this vlog I think I know that place Auldearn antiques, I was brought up a couple of miles from there and that’s a long time ago lol, brings back many happy memories, back a mile or so towards Auldearn on the right there’s a mound with a deep hollow we used to call the fairy dell.
Oh boy I had a good laugh with you guys in the antique shops ... very interesting outing, though.
Gawd I love a handbag outing! And lovely Brie! Please give her a scrooch from me.
And yes Katie's joke made me laugh!
Omg you both made me laugh so much in the Antique shops. Katie's joke 🤣🤣 what a joy to watch you both.
Katy I loved your joke, I could not stop laughing, just what I needed to cheer me up.😂
😂😂😂😂😂 loved the joke at the end! My husband couldn't understand why I was laughing! Men...🙄
🤣🤣🤣Bravo Katie... Now that's how you tell a joke, Scott!! xx Teresa 🇦🇺♥
Boy, I couldn't get over the crazy high prices for junk they call antiques! I thought our shops were expensive. My best antiques I got at yard sales. I like 20s-30s-40s wood furniture.
Now that was funny! LOL! Next time Scott tells a joke you heckle him, Katie.
Great video, guys!
Thank you. I agree that Inverness was tedious..I enjoyed the second half much more.
Morter cases make brilliant welding rod holders, they are water resistant and well made. I have one. Our robots used to take them out of the injection moulding machines.
Auldearn………. Ha-Ah that’s near the coast, along from Forres and Elgin. Stayed in Forres for about 3 weeks while working in that beautiful area in 2005
Loved Katie’s joke 😂. Used to love going around (Antique ) shops , Emporiums , they are now called , still visit them , only in the hope there might be something worth while to buy 😢.
You too are priceless to watch . Love your banter. 🤣
That was a funny joke! Thanks for the video. Cheers!
Oh I loved seeing the old shops not sure if you would call them antiques given Scott’s and Katie’s looks. There were a few items Reminded me of my younger ages. I was hoping Scott or Katie would pull out a couple of the old church statues I saw in the background. Don’t want to name them as don’t want to offend people but I though omg they would look great on the shore near the cottage .What a blessing. Not being disrespectful. I loved church when I was young and loved the paintings and statues. Agree thought objects seemed expensive. If I could though I would go back and have a sticky at age and providence. Also loved the clocks but yes very expensive.
My name is Paul from Saint Ives in Kent. I thoroughly enjoy watching your programs day in day out. Keep up the good work. Thank you
Thank you, Paul. That means a lot to us. Kx
I really like that chess table. I would buy it.
With those prices I'm not surprised their were no other customers .
A few years ago my partner and I came across the memorial to the commandos by chance when on holiday. His father was one of them. He knew his father was trained in this area but we didn’t know there was a memorial. Many years later when living in Southern England his father met and married a girl from Forres near Inverness. We were visiting Scotland to see where our families came from originally (my great grandfather was from Ballater).
Whiskey is clear naturally, it's the barrel that gives it the colour. It's not Bell's for sure.
Could the mortar-bomb cases possibly be used to protect a baguette from damage on route back from the bakery?
Excellent!

Oh the trough! Gorgeous for the garden, my garden, lol.
Absolutely loved this outing you went on.
That weathervane was quite different on the church! A bit humourous actually.
Can't get over some of those antiques prices... I was thinking there must be no old troughs left in Scotland if that's what they're fetching.. who needs to deal drugs when you've got troughs! 🤣🤣
Watch the old Laurel & Hardy "Worlds Best Piano Movers" movie clip and you'll see pretty much what your shenanigans looked like to us today! 🙂
oh my!! if i encountered pieces such as are in this store in South Alabama USA- OH HAPPY DAY!!!
Loved tonight's video. I laughed quite a lot. 😂 Thank you both xx
Hello all...i hope the day finds you well...
Nice church
“Is there an Echo in here” 😂 👏👏👏👏
Unite we conquer! Respect for the Commando's!
That copper pan in front of the range Katie wanted, I have exact same.
excellent episode, loving your channel, great content every time and loving the longer videos very much, thanks for all your hard work in creating wonderful videos!
Glad you enjoy it!
Interesting day out for you Im glad you got something for your cottage if not for sale from the trip
Absolutely love watching you two
Love the Commando memorial, especially stunning in the snow. There's one to the mini submarines at the Kylesku bridge in Sutherland/Assynt------if you get up that way it's in the North side car park----all such brave men,you should check it out. Another great Vlog'.
Good ending, LOL, LOL!!
Wonderful video, thanks! ❤
i liked your u boat ending on the last one. was funny. ❤
That church next to the A1, you went on quite a journey. Did you mean the A9
That he did. Ssh, don't tell him. Kx
I really enjoy antique shops and the shops were interesting. ❤🤗
I puzzled over Scott's joke last week and concluded that it was funny to him because it was absurd. OK.....All humor is funny or not depending on context. But to hear Katie explain his joke amid Scott's scoffing and impatience, and then hear her tell another absurd joke was HILARIOUS. I laughed out loud for quite a while! Thanks!!! Have a lovely week, you two!
😆 Thank you! Kx
The armchair would be lovely as a reading chair with the wings to for support when I dose off for a bit.
Those mortar bomb cases would do well to store maps that need to travel a lot in. I've seen my husband using one for that purpose.
I do love those high-backed wing chairs, just for your reason.
You were not far from me in this episode. And I would agree with you on the best shop without a doubt well worth a visit. Hope you got something nice.
It was funny, Scot!
Like that the episodes are getting longer :) have you seen the memorial to David Stirling founder of the SAS near Doune ? Just as impressive as Spean Bridge
I've driven past that several times, good idea!
Love antique/vintage shops❤and flea markets
Another great video ❤️🐴
