Baela Targaryen will face the cannibal dragon. House of the Dragon season 2 trailer left us with intrigue, and big questions for what's to come, but one of the most surprising scenes, and one that few people expected to see in the trailer, is Baela Targaryen, Damon Targaryen's daughter, riding her dragon into battle, which could be considered one of the rogue prince's secret weapons. In this video, we'll be taking an in-depth look at what we could expect from Baela, in the second season of House of the Dragon, and reveal who she could be fighting in the trailer. I definitely believe this will happen. Especially after Rhaenyra forbade her sons to accompany Rhaenys to Rook's Rest.
Definitely looking forward to Moondancer, that said, I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing Tessarion and Daeron.
The 5 dragons for season 2 we haven’t seen at all (even though we’ve yet to see dreamfyre, sunfyre, or vermithor PROPERLY) are silverwing, moondancer, cannibal, sheepstealer and either tyraxes or stormcloud. If they show stormcloud they will just mention tyraxes.
I am really excited to see moondancers design. Supposed to be really unique. We will see daeron and tessy in S3 although they need to go ahead and mention him lmao. Should of at least said his name in S1
@@quailjailss Confirmed Daeron for season 2! They are going to introduce his character, at the very least, although I think you're correct about Tessarion, and we likely won't see her until season 3/Battle of the Gullet.
Rook's Rest is going to be a tough watch, but I can't wait!

I’d definitely love❤to see Baela(Daemon’s daughter) forming a bond with and while Moondancer is a baby dragon, with encouragement and guiding help from(Daemon(her father) Baela begins training Moondancer while he is growing until he reaches adult size and big enough to carry Baela on his back.
Baela and Moondancer prepare for battle against another dragon in second season - House of The Dragon series, now that would be fascinating and awesome👏🏼to watch.
So it’s already been confirmed moondancer is even smaller than arrax, although daemon does name her at the war council. But he names tyraxes as well???? Which is only a 7 year old dragon, since joffrey is sooo much younger in the show than book.
So I’m assuming moondancer will be around season 5 drogon size, which was smaller than arrax, but big enough to ride.
In the trailer baela has seen Meleys body on the battlefield. She probably flies moondancer to meet up with rhaenys but is too late. We know she’s just as rebellious as daemon, so she was forbade from going to rooks rest, but goes anyway. Only to show up after the battle.

@@ramoncarter3121 I would have preferred her showing up at the battle though. I really wanted her to meet up with rhaenys there, the 2 of them burn the army, and then when rhaenys hears/sees vhagar + sunfyre that’s when she makes baela flee on moondancer. Would make more sense why rhaenys fought 2 dragons at once. But oh well. I just need season 2 already!!!!
@@quailjailssThis is what I'm thinking, especially when Rhaenyra forbids Jace and Joffrey to go. Baela gets mad and she sneaks off anyway.
I think Lucerys is her stepbrother, not half-brother.
Yeah only aegon then 3rd and viserys the 2nd are her half brothers.
They also third cousin because lena was rhaenyra second cousin and they also aunty and nephew because daemon is rhaenyra uncle

The gullet won’t be until season 3 but they will set it up in the season finale. So maybe she sees the ship attacked?

And then rhaenys makes her flee when she realizes vhagar is there… but from the teaser I think you’re right. I think she’s flying to rooks rest and sees Meleys body on the ground
These were my thoughts exact! I think it might be her fleeing and seeing Vhagar take them out. Or maybe initially its just Sunfyre and it seems like Meleys and Moondancer have the upper hand when Vhagar comes in. Moondancer would end up just being in the way of Meleys vs. Sunfyre and Vhagar, and it could come back later in the Baela vs. Aegon fight @@quailjailss
@@livv3395I cannot wait to see S2… some of my favorite events. Rooks rest and the sowing of the seeds were always my favorite parts from the dance. That and the battle of the gullet, but I’ll have to wait to see that one.

i think in the trailer baela has flown to rooks rest to help her grandmother but is too late and is angry and upset because she has to flee the scene to save herself and moondancer
I think they spring the trap on Baela then her grandmother will swoop in to save her.

Wtf are you talking about? In the books Cannibal was never ridden. Moondancer was born on Dragonstone. Sunfyre kills him. Unless the show gets it completely wrong, Cannibal only plays a small role.
Moondancer was born on driftmark. Baela traveled back and forth from driftmark to dragonstone on moondancer once she was able to ride her though.
Yeah the most we can hope for is a really cool shot of the cannibal descending down to drive sheepstealer off as he eats silver denys and his sons… who have been cast, so I’m pretty hopeful we will get that scene. I mean they have to show just how dangerous the red sowing was.
Its only fitting that since Aemond stole Vhagar, the dragon that belonged to her mother which she planned on taking for herself that one of the daughters will tame and claim Cannibal which she will use to face Vhagar with and defeat Aemond as revenge! I hope the producers switch things up and not stick to the books!

Well it was rhaena that had intended to claim vhagar, not baela.
Baela had her moondancer from when she was young.
The producers have already said the main events will stay the same and that only the how and why will change.
I’ve heard rumors that rhaena may take the place of nettles, which actually could work if she claimed sheepstealer, but it would still change the story quite a bit and I wanna see nettles!!

Its a show and it has to have twists and turns...Maybe Moon dancer will be killed and Baela will go for Cannibal ...who knows...but they have to make it that Cannibal is eventually ridden by a black nomatter how much it refuses at 1st

@@pl4423 lol by changing the “how or why” things happened they will give us plenty of twists. Just like laenor’s death in the show, laena’s death, the relationship b/n Alicent and rhaenyra, lady rhoyce’s death, etc. There already have been plenty of changes and will be more.
Also, I was really really hoping we would see a scene of daemon (since they have given him the title of master dragon lord) training jace/vermax, baela/moondancer, and joffrey/tyraxes next season… having them hit targets with flame or something while flying around the island… would have been such a neat scene to see. But you’re right we probably won’t. And we will just have to assume they’ve had training.
I dont get why Moondancer was so small it hatched in her cradle .... Baela and Rhaena are similar ages to Jace and Luke???
So in the book at least, I think it’s bc laena received eggs from rhaenyra when they betrothed the girls to jace and luke. This is implied when jace said moondancer “was merely a hatchling” when they were planning the attack on KL. They were 2 when they were betrothed, and maybe the egg didn’t hatch until maybe a year or 2 after she received it. Vermax arrax and tyraxes were said to be growing fast, while for whatever reason moondancer didnt grow as fast (in the book)

I dont buy that but….Bala might be mad but not at Vhagar …it hurt vhagar to her core to Dracarys her mother. So much so that vhagar even heavily hesitated before she did it.
That and she flew all the way from pentos riderless just to be near her riders bones. And we hear her mourning for laena on driftmark when she flies over the castle and some of the characters look up towards the sky
I know in fire and blood the Cannibal just disappears at the of the dance but i really hope they go a different way in the show.
To me the Cannibal would be a great addition to the show, think about this Rhaena whated to claim Vhagar but Ameond stole her, than later on kills Lucerys so what better for her to get renvege than to claim the only dragon know to kill and eat other dragons, the Cannibal.

Baela is worse for wear afterwards, but she survives, Moondancer doesn't. She ended Aegon's career with that attack as he'd never walk again. On top of that, Sunfyre dies.

I really love how idiotic, laughable, laughable and premature all of these so-called theories are about trailers. They are always wrong and so far out and stupid. It cracks me up when people make these theories and it has NOTHING going on with what they said or thought.
Shit, you showed up to bitch. I can tell you the story and end this shit right now. If you followed season 1 and read the books they barely changed anything at all. The main thing missing was Baratheons daughter didn’t tell Aemond she heard he only had 1 nut instead of two and he gets pissed then kills Lucerys on purpose. Not an accident as the show made it seem. The only difference. So I can pretty much tell you the story. It’s in the books.
The one theory that makes the most sense is Baela arriving to help Rhaenys only to see her die. That is the only thing I could see causing this reaction from her.
