@@baconn1ce Yeah but you can't show of course a Ford being turned into a banana from a 60 mph hit like they can in Wreckfest most games utilize basic destruction and degradation of vehicles like basic body damage or hoods trunks mirrors and doors falling off paint getting scratched things like that nothing like the engine getting pushed up in the car or the entire body rolling in on itself and crushing the driver you can clearly see in the car which are things Wreckfest can do cause they aren't using actual licensed cars and literally can do whatever they want not a luxury games like NFS have as much as I would love to see a NFS with soft body damage modelling it's just not something I figure we will ever see I would love to see more game's use soft body damage modelling like seen in Wreckfest though
Flatout and Wreckfest (aka Next Car Game) are both made by same developer and Flatout is indeed unique but just a year after this game Rigs of Rods is made which brings soft body physics to next level, then devs abandoned RoR and made a new game we all know today as BeamNG.drive
@@hellhound320 well kinda. Rigs of Rods still gets updated but not to the extent of BeamNG Drive. Right now it has been updated to "Update 2021". The Main Menu/UI changes a bit, plus a few new mods being made as well as those mods being converted over to BeamNG Drive

Reminds me even though the Marathon is already sorted, that Kuru should play Test Drive: Eve of Destruction/Driven to Destruction. It's honestly the best Demo Derby game I've played.
If you enjoyed Flatout 1, I think you would love Tough Trucks: Modified Monsters, which is before this game, it's the first Bugbear game I played and it's really fun and quite challenging, highly recommend :)
Well Bugbear made this and Wreckfest, it is bit of weird going from Flatout 1 to 2, then Bugear goes back to Flatout 1 with Wreckfest, though who knows maybe it ends up with Wreckfest 2 being a street racing game.
Milked the absolute crap out of flatout 1 and 2 since i was like 6. To this day i often return to these two games and still love them as if it was the first time. It's awesome that you finally play one of my favorite game
Yea both are great games i personally have Flatout 2 as the favourite in the series (Flatout 1, Flatout 2, Flatout UC) because apart from lacking suspension damage the handling in Flatout 2 was identical to Flatout 1 however in Flatout UC they made the handling more forgiving especially on cars like the road king/bullet gt that would actively want to kill you on dirt tracks as any RWD supercar would. Also Flatout 2 had a perfect soundtrack

From about 5:00 you are mostly driving a car that has this same sound like a Camaro or Zagato from TDU! It's just like a copy n paste. Also I love those boxes in those in game games like bowling. Really? Those boxes where meant to make that poor woman survive those impacts. xD

Flatout has an opposite to rubberbanding. If you're in first place, you'll notice that those cars that are way behind you, will intentionally slow down.
