Couple things: 4 Queens still doesn’t charge resort fee. If you get the MGM M rewards credit card, you get free parking at all MGM properties nation wide.

another tip (regarding those bathroom essentials): before going to Target, go down to the front desk and ask if they have whatever it is you need. As you probably paid resort fees, many of the hotels will provide trial size products for free to guests who ask for them. Never pack a toothbrush and toothpaste again.

20 years ago, when I was a tourist here? There were no resort fees, and the properties weren't trying to nickel and dime their guests to death. Now those fees have become epidemic all over the country, and Vegas started that trend in 2009.

Corporations have stopped trying to allocate all their profits through the games themselves and have decided that food, beverage, and overall shopping they can mark up like crazy and get the dollars that way. The resort fee will only go up too, will never come down lol. Pretty soon a "free room" will still cost over 60 bucks cause of resort fees.

I'm kind of skeptical about the "bottled water scam". Let's look at this logically. If you buy bottled water in bulk, you can get it for 10-15 cents a bottle. Sell it for a dollar and you've made a good profit. To do the scam though, you have to pick up the bottles, rinse them out and fill them up from a tap. In terms of time and labour, it makes no sense to fill old bottles with tap water when fresh bottles of water are so cheap.

    • @VegasEducation

Some twenty years ago, I bought $5 ice cream with $50 bill at a downtown casino and the bill went into cash register so very fast.., and when I asked for $45 change, I was told it's $5 bill. On the strip, I bought $3 regular size apple with $20 bill, and once again, I was told it's $5 bill, received $2 change. Regarding #9 and the “$20 trick”, I’ve been using that trick since 2005. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. For those times that it didn’t work, the front desk clerk simply gave it back.
I see it as a better way to get the upgrade. If you ask for the upgrade without giving the $20, you’re implying that you’re not giving the clerk anything for the upgrade. If it were me and you didn’t drop the $20 with your ID/CC, I’d tell you there weren’t any available. If you did include it, I’d be more inclined to try and help you out. Hope that makes sense.
    Here’s a tip: don’t give more than $20.

No one is selling bottled tap water on the strip, i really wish Vegas vloggers would stop including this on their lists, they buy a large case of water from Costco, add to a cooler and pour ice over the top and sell them individually for $1.
If you insist on including these sellers on the list then you can quite rightly question the possible hygiene levels involved, but don't make up outrageous claims about refilling used bottles with tap water.

When we went to Vegas, we got a great deal for our flight from Dallas. We shopped around and got a good deal within our budget a great Hotel on the strip, there was a fridge in our room. There was a CVS next to our Hotel, we
purchased bottled water, beer and a bottle of scotch there. We purchased a 24 hour pass to their great buffet with drinks and wine included. We liked it and just kept re-purchasing it for our entire stay. Food was fresh, good quality and great selection. This kept us away from junk food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. If you buy it at dinner time, you get dinner fir that night and breakfast, lunch and dinner the next day before it expires. This was all before pre-covid. I think there are more hidden fees etc., now. We gambled on Fremont St. where it was cheaper to gamble and buy souvenirs. We did pay to be transported to and from hotel from and to the airport. We bought the tickets for the bus that goes to Freemont St. and other hotels. I all worked well for us and we didn't feel scammed or anything. Best thing to do is look for deals within your budget and call the hotel ahead of time and ask questions about wi-fi, resort fees and if there buffet, pool and gym is open etc., etc., Airlines have all kinds of hidden fees now. Check carefully before booking your flight.

The BIG BUS TOURS night tour scam is that when you buy tickets ahead of time, you aren't guaranteed a seat. The website says to arrive 15-20 mins ahead to have your choice of seat, but doesn't say that you potentially could NOT get a seat. We arrived an hour before the bus was to arrive an there was ZERO chance of a seat. Wasted $100 on it.
