Jackson and Cooper are twins with three mums at the centre of an international controversy. In some Australian states, the two young brothers could be seized and their parents arrested the moment they come into the country. That's how much the legal and ethic minefield the business of Australians buying babies from Thailand has become. But is it right for lawmakers to turn Aussie couples into criminals simply because they want to have a family? Tim took his camera to Thailand for this Sunday Night investigation.

So, the husband had children with 2 Thai women and the wife rooted the bill.
Nothing is wrong with this. I believe all of them are willing to do it so that's what matters and the kids are being love..
Don't be so hateful! Can you show at least a little sympathy? It’s so easy to judge when you’ve never faced infertility. Surrogacy was my only option. There was no other way for me to become a mother. I had cancer of the uterus a couple of years ago. It was a difficult period in my life and in the life of my family. The only option for me and my dh was surrogacy. We'll go for delivery in a couple of months. Thanks to our doctors we'll become parents soon! I will definitely share my story too.
Its amazing you cant do what you want with your body without the government getting involved. These babies are wanted & loved they should jail the people who neglect children not ones who nurture them

Surrogates should want to give this couples Babies and want should be illegal is that if the women DONT want to have the kids and aren't being payed. For the boys their living great life with parents who did everything for them. For adoption I think it's for people who are young and take the time to adopt. Foster is cruel because the child is their and then poof their gone.
Yes some women are exploited. But some are not. The ones with the Australian couple were clearly not exploited. Thailand needs to have strict rules about it. Strict rules for clinics. But other than that I see it as a beautiful thing. A women or women being paid well for giving another couple a chance to be loving caring parents.
I believe there are Two stories here, one about three people working together to better there lives through legitimate surrogacy, then you have human traffickers raping unwilling victims and forcing pregnancy and then selling to the highest bidder. This journalist didn't know what he was doing and should have separated the two. One is beautiful giving financial stability to two families and creating a new life and new family, the other is beyond horrible and the two should not be compared

I cannot understand how people can judge on surrogacy. I guess you haven’t problems with fertility. If it is about parenthood, you will do everything possible. Do you know what maternal instinct is? But the same time you haven’t your child? For a lot of women surrogacy is the only option. I have my twins thanks to surrogacy program. You can be sure If I hadn’t had them, I would have died. You can say everything you wish, I even heard that tube babies don’t have soul. This is only because you didn’t face such problem when you are ready to lose everything in your life for possibility to have a child. I can agree that it is very important to be serious making a choice on the clinic. Before signing the contract I checked everything. It is very important the sanitation state of the country and clinic. You also have to check their attitude to the health examination of the mothers and donors, their success rate. And you can be sure that I have never regretted that I have my twins, they are beautiful children. And I am very grateful for them!!!
Oh God. Their story is so inspiring. It is the best thing I watched on internet. This was so emotional. It actually made me cry. They babies are so cute. The daddy looked so sweet holdinga nd handeling them both. I hope things go fine with them. I hope they get some help.
If the surrogate moms are force to have the pregnancy, than its a crime. But if its their own willing, with proper documentation, why not?
Because they are being taken advantage of. Why are you not allowed to ask poor people to donate the organs they can live without?
This is so not right. This shouldn't be illegal. They just wanted to have their bay. They weren't able to conceive naturally. The country should change this law. People should get help. It's their right.
Well, many people choose Thailand for surrogacy services. So agents sign contracts almost with anyone, who wants to work as a surrogate mother. I should admit the fact, that most of women who decided to become a surrogate mother did it because they need money, mostly they are very poor. Very often, conditions of their life are horrible. They do not have money to take care of their health. And it may become a problem in future. In countries of Southern Asia and South America, there are so many infections. As I know in the East Europe, which is also popular for its small prices, there are no such irresponsible agents. There only certified legal companies may work with surrogate mothers. It seems more reliable than working with illegal agents. But It`s up to us to decide what variant to choose: cheap Indian clinics or reliable Western European.

I personally do not see anything wrong with this..... NOW if the babies were being SOLD to unfit parents who would use them for slave labor, or something like this than yes of course it is wrong...

I would love to be a surrogate. I have enjoyed been pregnant, I have 4 kids. And I don't want anymore, but I grieve that I will never be pregnant again.

adoption is a lot harder than you think specially if you are a low-income family there is a lot of expectations through adoption
The question that should be asked of the Australian woman is would she be willing to do that for someone else if the shoe was on the other foot?? She'd no doubt say no:"she doesn't want to be used like a breeder." But they think nothing of using these women!
