"Choose Me" -- a song featured in the Netflix original movie "KATE" as BAND MAID, has so many great RnR chops, it's kinda unbelievable. From Saiki's old-school phrasing, cadence and a super soulful vocal at the end; MISA's driving bass, her special riff after Kanami's brilliant, rocking main solo (complete with harmonic pinch), and her pulls at the end of the song that really funks it up with Akane's drumming; to Kanami's original composition, off-beat octave stretches during the verses, and her addition of a second uncomplicated yet super tasty solo; to Akane's unique snare & tom flurry that launches the choruses; and to Miku's octave-down, in & out vocal backup and lyrics... all makes "Choose Me" a throwback rocker that surprised me when I first heard it - and I'll bet most anyone - that they would come up with this western-style, rock 'n roll classic.
Of course, after years later, it's not surprising at all coming from this important band of geniuses who are almost single-handedly bringing back the joys and soulfulness of rock for people from all places and ages to hear. Saiki uses a backing track during this song's the intro to double her voice. During one of the online concerts, the track screwed up and the maids had to stall for time while the crew straightened everything out. Fortunately they have Miku who is never at a loss for words, but Kanami stepped up and brought a lot of the cuteness to the fans. They even published that segment by itself on their subscription service (if that's the right term) on their site.
All I know is that I have chosen Band-Maid, forever and ever! Top favorite!

Headphones are definitely better - especially for Band-Maid's more recent stuff, because you can catch all the crazy stuff Kanami is doing in the background.
The Maids will have their 10th anniversary next year and they love touring. I bet Europe will be one of their stops.
