This was so great, John does this cold chisel cover to perfection but the best version was from his the last time concert, he was a bit older but omg, the passio and emotion he put into it was chilling and his voice, even with the years of belting out those high notes was still flawless. And in this particular concert he did an epic version of “amazing grace” with two of his backing singers, you’ve got to hear that.

Yes even as a very young man John was epic. His voice, mic technique, range, everything is perfect, even his clarity and diction are next level. You need to do live versions whenever possible. “Let me out” live is awesome with an epic guitar solo, “chain reaction” with amazing harmonica solo, all our sons and daughters, his music from when he was with “the little river band, I could go on for ever. Anything John sings he puts everything into, especially live performances.

I love John’s trademark mic and mic stand tricks, he loves throwing it around. Who else can throw the mic stand meters into the air and catch it while still performing. This is one of John’s greats, on of many with a very important, positive and inspiring message. Epic.you need to rewatch this to just before he threw the mic stand where you see him from behind throw it way up in the air and catch it and then he throws it across the stage, it’s so cool.

John is the greatest and most versatile male vocalist of all time with over 50 years of performing. And Brett Garsed on guitar epic. You should check out John doing”let me out” live, epic guitar solo from Brett in that. Also check out John live doing “chain reaction” it has an epic harmonica solo in it, and John does an amazing cover of “black dog” by Led Zeppelin which he uses as a warm up song. And there’s many many more great music out there from John.

He is so great. We’ve had the pleasure in Australia to have had John’s majestic voice for over 50 years and it is so wonderful that people are just now discovering his magical music. John is such a great performer, all aspects of his epic voice, the love for his fellow musicians and the love for his fans, John is just there for the fans and the music. Great reaction and please do more of John’s music, there’s 50 years of it out there.

An amazing song and amazing collaboration between these two powerhouses. John Farnham is the greatest and most versatile male vocalist of all time, he can sing anything, any genre and Jimmy great too and with diesel’s backing vocals beautiful. Epic Australian artists.

Nice that you mentioned the backing vocals; a lot of reactors ignore them. Also Floor's younger sister Irene often sings backing vocals (especially for Ayreon); she also has a great voice and is even taller than Floor. There are some performances of Floor and Irene singing together - two powerhouses together on stage.

Check out John's cover of the song "Black Dog" which he used as a warmup, so only audio captured by a sound tech. are available. It's outstanding.

I’ll stand corrected but I wouldn’t think that Barnes would ever cover AC/DC. He’s got more soul than that but he covers loads and does a lot of fab duets if that’s your thing. Still the best songs he does are Cold Chisel songs, of course.

Never really appreciated JB back in the day unlike all my country bogan freind. As I get older (now 53) I really do feel he was a legend of Aussie music. By the way this is one of my favourites. Simple but kills. Check out his version of “Working class hero”.
