John has the most pure voice on the planet. So powerful with a rock edge yet also sweet.
Check out Grenada with John singing with Opera singer Anthony Warlow. Combination of comedy and a 8:30 huge vocal performance from them both❤❤
Hiya John was 30 here. He was born on 1 July 1949 and can sing anything. This is just so beautiful ❤❤❤
John performed this on a very popular TV Show 'The Don Lane Show' Don was an American who was a huge supporter of John's in those early days when believe it or not John could not get any interest from radio shows to play his music etc mostly due to a very bad manager...John was 30 here but looks 18 lol. He only got 'real' recognition much later after his friend Glen Wheatly offered to manage him etc...and the rest is history. His manager mortgaged his own home to produce John's first really huge number 1 album 'Whispering Jack' from which 'You're The Voice' went to number 1 in many overseas countries and the world welcomed him....

I agree with other comments about John doing Granada with Anthony Warlow. Pavarotti sang Granada, & at the end, John waves a white hankerchief like Pav
Yes even as a very young man John was epic. His voice, mic technique, range, everything is perfect, even his clarity and diction are next level. You need to do live versions whenever possible. “Let me out” live is awesome with an epic guitar solo, “chain reaction” with amazing harmonica solo, all our sons and daughters, his music from when he was with “the little river band, I could go on for ever. Anything John sings he puts everything into, especially live performances.
Watch him perform with Anthony Warlow for some Opera style music
May I second the suggestion of watching John and Anthony Warlow singing Granada from The Main Event concert, and also Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. It’ll show you how easily John can switch to another musical genre. Even if you can’t continue posting from home, I hope you are still able to keep watching some of our fantastic Aussie talent.❤️

I think you need to listen to him warming up that wonderful voice of his before he goes out and does his concert.
He does a cover of black dog. A song By led zeppelin. It’s only audio as a technician hit record while John and his band and back up singers warmed up. It’s an eye opener as to what John is capable off. Especially if you like him hitting those high notes 😂
