Great reaction - and it has been a great week, thank you.🦊You were absolutely right that this was storytelling. This show was the last one Su and Moa performed with BABYMETAL as a duo - Momoko was announced as the third member of the "new" BABYMETAL at the end of this concert.
This was the opening song, so just Su and Moa and 'The Legend' was marking the end of the first era of BABYMETAL telling the story of how they had begun, fought through everything together, cried and laughed together and come through everything to this moment.
They surprised us all when the saxophone solo hit.🎷
The Kami Band are loved and appreciated by the fans even if they don't always get the spotlight, we know who they all are and the value and quality they bring.🤘

A perfect track to finish this album, this is a clear statement and reminder they're _living legends_ now, and we don't need to be afraid of this as an end, let's be grateful coz a new beginning already started.
Love this track and that unexpected sax touch gives this a more intimate feeling, they performed this at Makuhari Messe 2023 as an ender, and during Black Night at PIA Arena MM 2023 as an opener, perhaps another metaphor for this song, unfortunately no kami sax played that section.
So sad this song is playing only for Japanese shows.
Anyway it fits totally with the lore in term of lyrics and music and hopefully they will play this again next time but like always OTFGK.
The reason why MomoMetal isn't performing here is because this was during Black Night when she wasn't an official member yet until the show was over, she was still an avenger or backup dancer, the night after, Clear Night, she was performing all the setlist along with them including Metal Kingdom which until that day was only performed by Su and MoaMetal, that's why it's called "BM Begins - The Other One"
They got special songs and they like to represent something when performing some of them, they don't have so many live performance with only Su and Moa, aside of Legend S Baptism XX 2017 when almost the full setlist was performed with only the two of them bc suddenly YuiMetal couldn't make it and after that she left the group, they got live performance such Shine live at Legend M 2019, The One - Stairway To Living Legend official MV, BxMxC official MV, Monochrome Piano Version official MV, METAL KINGDOM live at BM Returns TOO, Makuhari Messe 2023 and this song also at the same place along with this one with only Su and MoaMetal, till this day only performed 3 times, but I'm pretty sure if we see this again will be with MomoMetal in it.

Great reaction! I always like to see reactions to songs like The Legend. This one doesn't get requested because people find it "boring" but it is not. Seeing there softer side shows how well rounded they are as performers.
One of the things that always impresses me, and you see it in all their songs, are the facial expressions on the girls. They don't just sing and dance the song, they act the song out to the last detail.

"THE LEGEND" is the closer of their latest album, The Other ONE and also closes their previous era (Metal Resistance). It was the show opener (BABYMETAL Begins Black Night). They staged the closing of the previous era in the end of that concert by announcing the end of BABYMETAL as we knew it, their reborn as a new entity and proceded to announce MOMOMETAL as an official member. Yes, I know it's a bit confusing. 😅
"THE LEGEND" has been performed live only three times and I seriously doubt they'll play it again anytime soon. Oh, and that sax solo is just delicious.
We like (a lot) to give kudos to the band members for their work, praise their abilities and talk about them. Despite they have never been credited or named officially. The only exceptions are Leda Cygnus who has a credits on a few songs and BOH who, apparently, is the only one capable to reference BABYMETAL on his social media bio.

The fans talk a lot about all the people who have been in the 2 Kami bands, we have a huge gratitude to them.
Beautiful way of saying goodbye to the original BabyMetal Metal Resistance era and as one Legend ends a new one starts . notice the BabyMetal logo has changed it now has 3 feathers from 4 and them holding up there little finger signifies an unbreakable thread the bond between Su and Moa . Momoko will be announced as new official member MoMo Metal and BabyMetal is reborn and a new Legend begains ❤❤❤ 😁

This was the just before Momoko was announced as the official 3rd member. There is a third glass coffin (empty) onstage next to Suzuka and Moa to signify that a third member will be joining.
Gorgeously sung and performed.
