I noticed this mentioned today in Suga’s Apple Music radio show so it’s an excellent time for this explanation. 감사합니다 쌤!
Really good lesson on a neglected topic.

I really wanna say thank you for all your videos and live streams, they are extremely helpful and it makes learning the language so much fun!!
I finally understand all the nuances I've been struggling with for so long. I searched on the Internet but hadn't found any proper answer. 선생님, 진심으로 감사합니다~
Hey Billy, Language teaching request: all the different ways of saying "boring" in Korean. I know, 심심하다, 지루하다 and 따분하다, and I know there are a couple more. But finding information regarding the different nuances between these are difficult and confusing. Thanks! 🙂
Is 일년 not pronounced as “일련” because of 받침 ?
Correct.
Right ! and natural pronunciation
Hi Billy, I've seen the present tense sometimes written as Present adjective + 것이다 eg in 뭐 하는 거예요? What are the nuances of this as opposed to conjugating in the regular present tense?
