    My parents had these old vhs videos, and when I was 6 if they needed a baby sitter they would put them on tv for me and I’d sit and watch for hours, fall asleep watching them 😁 good times

      I can relate to what you’re saying; although it was at my grandparents house and it was the made-for-tv movie, American Harvest/Race Against the Harvest (went by two names. It aired on network tv in 1987. They taped it on their beta-max 😂 and I probably watched that movie at least 30x

    John Deere built the plow that broke the plains

    • @CornPopMillerJr
      @CornPopMillerJr Před 3 lety

      But not the tractors. The plains were "broke" with giant gas tractors and steam engines. Rumleys, Cases, Averys, Twin Cities, Hart-Parrs, Pioneers, and others. Deere was only makin' plows that originally broke the plains. He got into the tractor market too late.

    I wonder if it was John Deere's Core Values to sell Equipment to Farmers and then not allow them to have the tools to work on there Own Equipment? Not allowing them to have the computer programs to diagnose the unnecessarily Over Complicated piece of john Deere's Junk problem?

    • @jason_l5p
      @jason_l5p Před 3 lety +2

      Far more complicated. Not only is it service related. It’s emissions related. These computer programs control emissions systems in equipment. If anyone can access these programs, they can alter and disable these emissions systems making these tractors pollute more, etc... which in turn could get John Deere in trouble with the EPA.

      John deere isn't the only one doing this it's all equipment mfg

    They skip the part about Deere not being able to get traction engines (tractors) figured out so he bought the Waterloo Boy from John Foelich in order to get into the tractor market. Deere did well with the D and OK with many others, but AC conquered EVERY market until Deere came out with the 4010 and Allis sold out to the Germans.

      What markets? It’s very rare to find AC equipment around Illinois

      ALLIS CHALMERS DID NOT SELL OUT TO THE GERMANS THEY SOLD OR WERE TAKEN OVER BY WHITE MOTOR COMPANY. IN THE LATE 60'S EARLY 70'S

    • @CornPopMillerJr
      @CornPopMillerJr Před 3 lety +3

      @@robertpayne2717 with all due respect, you are very wrong. White (and others) tried numerous times throughout the 60s to buy up Allis Chalmers. They held out until 1974, when Fiat (not White) bought the lion's share of the company. Officially, they remained Allis until 1985 when Fiat bought the remaining shares and changed the name to FiatAllis. Later in 1985, Duetz (the Germans) bought out FiatAllis and then renamed the tractor line Duetz-Allis. In 1990, Duetz-Allis sold again to join up with Gleaners and become AGCO. AGCO made tractors for 20 more years and then gave it up.

      @@MidwestFarmToys a personal problem? I really have no clue what you are talkin' about. Everything I posted seems to have gone clear over your head. Are you drunk? Perhaps you should lay off the bud lights.
