- Happy Holidays everyone! I hope y’all are enjoying time with family. Today I just wanted to share with you all the SHfiguarts Darth Vader that just released for the Obi Wan Kenobi series. It is such a delightful figure, and I hope you guys can gain something from some of my tips when posing such a hard to manage cape such as this one. If you are able and willing to put the time and patience into it, enjoying the process, this figure truly can create some of the most photogenic poses I’ve seen in action figures.

Definitely a good looking and honestly impressive amount of articulation. I’ve been holding back on hasbro black series earth Vader. This looks very promising.
Got mine before Christmas it is one of my favourites in my collection for sure the best Vader figure at this scale for sure

Great video! I have the figure and love it a lot. However, I`m the only one bothered by the chain of the cape? Is too visible. I think that the figure would be aesthetically perfect with a black chain.
are you referring to it's opacity? being somewhat see through? definitely an issue I can understand bothering some, but that's a pretty common trend with capes at this scale, so I'm not too bothered by it myself. I think in most scenarios where you're posing it for a photo, it is negligible. only time I notice it really is when I spread it out and really try and make it a point to see it. and I absolutely agree, a black chain would have been ideal. I'm already in the process of painting mine 😂 other than that, a great figure especially at the price I paid, best option on the market imo! thanks for checking out the video!

Great review, especially appreciate the tips for posing the cape. Cloth tunic gives him an easy W for import Vaders, but I wish they reworked the codpiece and ankles to account for increased lower body range.
agreed, ankles could have been much better. def can be a bummer. I don't find the codpiece to obstructive, but it is a bit phat 😂 Vader packin I guess haha

We need the slight long barbell joint for his neck for the proportions of the cape and neck
that would absolutely send it over the top. the limited head articulation is probably it's biggest downfall imo. proportions wise I'm not so sure, but a longer barbell to get more range for sure
I thought only mine had problem on his right ankle rocker/tilt because left ankle can move just fine. But after saw your review, it looks like it is factory defect

I think the "springiness" of the shoulderpad is unnecessary. A balljoint into the top of the shoulder itself would have been sufficient and given it a chance to keep the uniformity of the shoulder pauldron altogether. The rest of it is mighty impressive for the scale. TBS has struggled with the Vader helmet as of late so SHF does take it. But the one reason it is better objectively? Additional hilt. ;-)
it is a small hinge, which the springiness is just an unfortunate by product of. definitely could've been better with a simple ball joint, but I rarely find it to be hassle myself. I just know other people have had nitpicked or mentioned themselves. thanks for checking out the video!
where you buy it and when will it be on amazon????
it was only available in Japan unfortunately.. I got mine on hobby link Japan, but it's since sold out. they have announced a rerelease in the "New Hope" colors and accessories to come out later this year though, so hopefully that one will come to amazon

I disagree! but I can understand the frustration for some! it's certainly a challenge to wrangle in but I've got everything I've wanted out of it! thanks for commenting!
It’s not that bad in person I was anxious about the cape when buying but when he came he looked awesome
