Generally if you love the character is worth buying the figuarts, if its a side character you dont like as much Black Series is sufficient.
Yup. I ordered my anakin in sh figuarts and I’m gonna order luke, vader, and Kenobi (rots) aswell.

Black series reeeeeally needs a new vader body mold. Those shoulders are so narrow, kills the silhouette. I just ordered the shf from japan, im excited for it. Looks perfect to me.
Actually, for higher price, you get two figures from SHF - damaged Vader and "usual" Vader. Or, if you remove his right hand, you also get third Vader for duel vs Luke from ROTJ. Sounds like a good bargain for me.
All in all, I've been pretty happy with my ANH version from Black series, but I'm turning now to SHF. I think I'll wait for the review and then maybe get it.
ANH Vader is the only TBS Vader that I have in my collection. I have ROTJ SHF Vader (it's on the channel) and I really like it. The only thing that I wanted them to make better is use soft goods for his tunic and now they did that. I'm really looking forward to getting this figure.
I have not found a vader Im perfectly happy with. For the longest time I thought the mafex rogue one was gonna be my ideal because I loved the red lenses and seeing his eyes but now between the rerelease, the Kenobi shf, and BS, Im leaning towards the Kenobi. All the accessories I need besides ROTJ options, full cloth robes and removeable cape, great articulation, and a pretty reasonable price. This SHF might be the one
Similar happened to me with Gentle Giant mini bust for duel end vader but finally managed to put in an order today.

But the lines definitely matter and that's why S.H. gets my vote
I like everything on S.H (even face) except for the cloak, I don't like the visible stitching on the Japanese version. but at least it has a chain!!!!
I agree. I get it and it can be annoying but I don't mind the stiching when I know that there is a wire inside that will allow me to get more dynamic poses out of this guy. That's a huge plus for SHF. 😃
If I could only buy one it would be the SHF. But i'm getting both for sure 😅 great video as always!

Figuarts, hands down
I ordered both. I really like the Black Series version so far. It's my first Black Series Vader figure since the ANH Vader. I'm actually very impressed by it, the range of movement is great. I'm really excited for the SHF one though. I have the ROTJ SHF Vader and always thought the plastic skirt was a bummer. So since this new one has a soft good skirt, it might be my definitive 6" Vader.

Where did you order the sh figuarts Vader?
I went with…the Hot Toys one. I already made a custom black series one for my 6 inch stuff, months before these were revealed. Also, after seeing the in hand pics of the black series one recently, the Figuarts definitely wins. The in hand pics of the black series just show that the face printing didn’t turn out too well.
3-400 is crazy for an action figure imo. Idc if Jesus himself made it.
@@CaptainRockoBD true but I really don’t see them even in the same category as regular action figures. More like articulated statues that are poseable pieces of art.
How does the SH vader scale with other black series?
The newest one from ROTJ is the same hight as black series Vader. You can check out my review on that SHF Vader where I compare them. My guess is that the new SHF Vader from Kenobi will be in the same scale.

Didn’t even know Figuarts made a figure. I was able to get the Black Series last week. I’m happy with it. I got the one piece on pre-order so I also collect Figuarts but honestly I rather not hunt this one down.
SHF figures are great for the most part. Every line has it's ups and downs but I really love what Bandai does with these figures. I do have their new battle damage Vader on pre-order and can't wait to get it.
@@ActionDisplayChannel they are getting better at what they do for sure the Naruto series I’m collecting now is way better than the original one. Also the Dragon Ball figures are way better.
AmiAmi has this figure in stock now. I doubt I will ever see the hasbro version.

The advantage that SH Figuarts has is that you can recreate the “clean” Vader. TBS still has a completely inaccurate Kenobi Vader that reused a repack of a 2017 figure… which is disappointing. In short, SH is the winner by default so I do hope the final product will meet expectations. That said, I don’t see anything wrong for those with a smaller budget going for TBS although they’ll pay for HALF of a good Vader: those legs are still horrendous.
Being on a tighter budget and lacking space, I’ll not have this specific unit nor the TBS equivalent. I’ll make a case for the Vintage Collection here: the most recent Vader done for TVC (both Dark Times and Death Star II) have been amazing for the articulations and authentic for sculpt considering the smaller scale. And the Kenobi Vader (Dark Times) for TVC did have an extra set of hands with different gestures. Plus the TVC Battle-Damaged Vader is expected to be a two-pack with Obi-Wan. Still not shown after the pipeline reveal. Most people will agree that the TVC Vader have surpassed the TBS versions.
Thank you for this info. TVC are amazing and sometimes I think that I should have maybe collect that line. There are a lot of world building options and they eat up much less space. On the other hand, growing up I had 6 inch figures so that's why I'm into 6 inch collecting. But it's great to see what they are doing with TVC line.

I'm sorry to hear that. Keep your eyes opened on sites that usualy sell these SHF figures because they do tend to come back in stock from time to time. I hope you'll find a way to get your Vader.

As I said in the video, amiami and other online stores. BBTS sells them in the US as well.
I mean you're paying for what you get. You want quality then get figuarts. You on a budget then get hasbro.
The Figuart one will probably be smaller. So Black series for me
SHF ROTJ Vader is the same hight as TBS one so I'm sure the new one will be the same.
