  • REBUILT: the sexy service videos you never knew you needed! Guided by our expert RockShox mechanics, here's an inside peek at all the suspension bits that make your ride run smoothly.
For our second installment, we're breaking down a 200-hour service on a Lyrik Ultimate fork.
⚠️ It should hopefully go without saying that this video is for entertainment only and is NOT a substitute for referencing your product’s service documentation, but just in case: Make sure to follow the service manual if attempting to service your product, as suspension products are pressurized and can cause serious injury or damage if not serviced properly.
Find the service procedure at www.rockshox.com/service.

I've always done my own suspension work since the original Judy with the plastic cartridges. I changed those to the aluminum ones in my living room. Later I learned to bleed the aluminum cartridges as they leaked. I used to race for ABS that's just up the street from the old headquarters in Santa Cruz. We got our stuff hand delivered, sometimes before the pro riders did. I do have a soft spot for Manitou just because of their ease of access to the shims and availability of different lengths of spring shafts.

A video showing how to replace the corroded compression dial innards because poor design has led to early water ingress would be super helpful thanks

Just curious, 200 hour of service is insane for a fork, omg! Is this real anyone?

      How is that insane ?

I think it's 200 hours of riding, not 200 hours spent working on the fork!

Yes indeed 200 hours is a big interval. Suspension service centers recommend 100 hour intervals. It's just that Rockshox has less "luxurious" clients than Fox or Ohlins for example. They therefore expect a slight drop in performance. But if you want suspensions that always perform well, do this maintenance every 100 hours. I hope I was clear, have a nice day 👋🏼

It would be more helpful if you guys took some time to show the torque spec, oil capacity, and provided a bit more information to make the video more helpful. Right now, it's just a person taking everything apart and putting it back together with no real guidance on what needs to be done carefully or how to reassemble everything to factory specifications.
It's frustrating because you guys spent money making a video that lacks real information. It feels like they were more concerned about adding a nice P@&%@ movie song than providing useful content.

There is a full playlist of service videos for this 2023 Lyrik on the SRAM Tech CZcams channel, created by RockShox. I can't paste a link, so a quick search should bring it up.
SRAM Tech, "Pike, Lyrik, Zeb - 2023 Fork Service" is the playlist name.

Hi there! Our Rebuilt series is meant to be just for entertainment, sort of like @SRAMMTB's Built series that focuses on the beauty of the product... but in this case, it's the beauty of service. If you're looking for service videos, complete with torque specs and tool callouts, check out www.youtube.com/@SRAMtech where we have all the nitty gritty and details on how to service your suspension.

I understand your point. However, this is more "dream rebuilt video" kind of thing. Not technical video at all. It's a mixture of things. It's advertising.

Would be nice if the Service kits were actually available.
