Can't believe I get to review a chapter of Bleach again after so very long. As always let me know what you thought of the chapter in the comments - and perhaps most importantly, what you think this arc might have in store for us!
Same! I am so excited to see what Kubo has in store for us.
Chapter blew all expectations out of the water. It's saturated with content, so I'm not sure how long the arc will be. Like ordinarily this chapter could have been half a volume of slow build.
I'm also wondering if it's only Ukitake that we'll see, because the ritual to appease the other dead captains was already completed.
The chance of seeing Stark again makes me thirsty though. That character deserves a return.
I loved it. Seeing Ichigo as a father as well as how far everyone has progressed is wonderful. I do have one question though. If Ichigo got all of his powers back, wouldn’t Zangetsu have reverted back to it’s true shikai & potentially true Bankai state, if it was broken due to him not having those powers at the time he attacked Yhwach in the TYBW arc? Like, is he in shikai state now, or bankai? It’s pretty confusing and I feel like everyone was so wrapped in elation about a new chapter to inquire about this. Myself included.
The fish is connected to the dead captain bankai. It shown in bleach brave souls.
Ukitake
Yeah brave souls is semi canon as Kubo designed it.
Been watching for about a year now I wish i wasn't a poor student and can show some support on patreon 😅 but keep up the good work~

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is the absolute grief on Kyoraku's face when he realizes what he's done to not only his best friend but also his father figure. Lovely subtle detail from Kubo
Whose to say those two are the only ones he's grieving for?
Kyoraku is one of the oldest Captains if not THE OLDEST of the Gotei 13. And whose to say he didn't participate in a handful as a Lieutenant?
@@NagaYamiyo I say only his brother and his wife.... I mean losing your "brother" and "father" is way worse than anybody else
Seeing that Ukitake is already busy doing Hell police work, dragging Syazel back to Hell.
I bet Yamamoto is the new Hell Warden Torturer-in-Chief.
No need to grief. It is just a new job.
@@NagaYamiyo Pretty sure he's the oldest Captain at this point. Closest in age and class now is gonna be Yoruichi, Urahara, the Vizards, and maybe Mayuri. Even then, I think they're on the younger end and still hundreds of years younger than Kyoraku.
So at the end, Ukitake brought Syalaporro back to hell? Or was it like the ruler of hell instead? I always have a hard time understanding what happens in mangas. It’s easier to see when it’s animated.
Wait, Bleach is continuing?! And it’s an arc focused around HELL?!?
*Incantation, Snakes of Despair, and Cometh the Hour intensifies*
Hell, if this new arc does indeed continue and it gets animated sometime in the future, they better reuse those soundtracks b/c they're super good. Love them
Don't forget Fallen Angels (damn, it might even work surprisingly well if we get to see some dead quincies in this arc as well)
Kazuma with a beard…I can dig it
@@quitepossiblylucky imo bleach has to be in at least top 3 for the best ost soundtracks case in point, Bleach ost "going home" or "nothing anymore" there's so many lol
*Treachery intensifies*
This chapter didn’t feel like a one-shot. Feels more like a new beginning.
I agree. It has so much potential to be better than the thousand year blood war arc
That’s because it is.

@@eduardopantoja9115 I'm rereading the Thousand Year Blood Arc
My favourite little detail was how Kira used his zanpakutōs. Instead of hitting his enemy, he increase his own weight and then crushed the hollow by quite literally stepping on it.
Yesss! Kira's entrance was epic.
Yes!!!! I knew something was up with that panel but I couldn't figure it out!

I didn't notice that...bruh lol
Most people: New Bleach chapter? I hope we get a nice slice of life story.
Tite Kubo: I'm gonna throw some ground breaking world shattering new lore at you guys.
Kubo loves to tease us 2 years and still radio silence hope we get some new info on 23rd this month they are having an interview and new information will be revealed about BTW and Bleach so fingers crossed😂
The potential implications for this is insane. All of the previous Kenpachi’s, first generation Gotei 13 and other captain class individuals are in hell. Ichigo, Rukia and Renji gained captain class strength to protect their world and that same strength will condemn them to hell. I wonder how deep this ties into the Thousand Year Blood War where many captain class beings were killed. Mayuri hinted this at the beginning of that arc how the balance was perturbed by the Quinies actions. Hopefully the balance itself gets fleshed out.
i was just thinking this. I cant imagine the suffering unohana is going through she most likley has it the worst. Remember she was said to have been worse than aizen in her sins.
I hope they find a way to change this path or put an end to the eternal damnation for all powerful beings.
All of the main characters being doomed to burn in hell isn’t a pleasant thought. I mean, what kind of reward is that for all the good Ichigo has done?
@@Incognito-jl3jk yama killed atleast 1million-1 trillion people he about to be at the bottom of hell for his sins lol.
Also one bit of potential that I saw someone bring up is Tosen and Gin.
We might have the fabled confrontation between Gin and Rangiku
Not necessarily, unless they get a ritual they won't be cast into hell
Never thought Zael would get this much screen time throughout the series when we first met him lol

You can tell Kubo is back in good health and is really having fun and being creative with new character designs and the way he draws the panels.
Definitely, I thought Mayuri and Rukia look awesome! Rukia is always so cute lol
@@Gionatorr I can agree with the Rukia part but Mayuri looks like a damn bug
@@Gionatorr literally every time rukia gets a new design it’s better than the last, first hee fullbring cut, then her outfit in tybw, then her captain look and now the hell design
Remember the demonic looking thing that stabbed Shreiker and dragged him to Hell in chapter 13? That very well could have been a former captain. Thats so cool.
That's what I thought too, probably a captain from yama's flashback
i was about to say this !!!
Definitely looked like a zanpaktou
There's no way he would have planned it this early, but it looks similar to Tenken. A similar zanpakuto from the beast clan might be behind the stab, given how similar in nature the appear to be, though, that'd be a hell of a retcon
Crazy to think that captain would’ve had to be younger than ichibei or oetsu, squad zero is so cool when you think about it( at least those two 😂)
I wonder how far Kubo will go with seeing dead characters return. This could be a good way to see the original Gotei 13 and finally getting that 1000 year flashback.
Imagine if the founders make an appearance
@@corruptangel6793 I think they will
I don't think the original gotei will specifically show up; I think like Ukitake they've all become wardens/guardians of Hell for basically eternity, the plasma of hell having eaten away at them as the same way as good ol 'Zael.
Unohana gets more fights
Gin pls 😭 starrk too!
I've just come to realize something pretty disastrous. If they've been sending down every single captain level shinigami, that means they have an entire realms worth of Kenpachis down there.
If Zaraki has to go to hell to help with this problem, I imagine we're about to get the biggest Kenpachi succession arc there is. THERE. CAN. ONLY BE. ONE!
That would be great! The 7th and 8th Kenpachi would be Interesting to see
@@nicholasmerritt-baldwin206 the 8th is still in Muken if im not mistaken
This is Crazy hahahaha Hope they would do this this going to be one of the bloodest wars we have Ever Seen
Atau's Shikai is basically the Ability to use Shikigami. Shikigami are kami from Japanese folklore. From Wiki: "Shikigami are conjured beings, made alive through a... conjuring ceremony. Shikigami are said to be invisible most of the time, but they can be made visible by binding them into small, folded and artfully cut paper manikins. There are also shikigami that can show themselves as animals."
In media I've seen Shikigami used by writing a name or word on a piece of paper, and then that piece of paper transform into what was written.
So for Atau, after the initial command of Give Brith, we see a bunch of paper constructs appear, then he writes Hawk, and we see those paper constructs turning into Hawks and doing actual damage. Plus when we first see him he's surrounded by a bunch of different animals. Presumably this was not him showing off his Disney Princess Powers, but rather him practicing his Shikai.
Seems very strong to me, since if he's utilizing Shikigami he could arguably summon anything with his zanpakutou, though it could very well be limited to animals. However, since Shikigami were originally used to ward off danger, evil and natural disaster, as well as spying and enemy tracking, I wonder if he and his zanpakutou will play a vital role in an arc about Hell.
I agree that the Shikigami thing is right on the money with Atau's Shikai using paper shikigami talismans/dolls to summon the birds. Though I have the same question posed in the video as far as if "Taka/Hawk" is the ability or his Zanpakuto's name and he is just limited to using paper Shikigami to summon those birds of prey... which honestly was cool even if that is all because it has utility and it absolutely decimated that Hell Hollow in a really brutal looking way. If not, it is a bit strange that he didn't call (write) the name of the Zanpakuto while using Shikai. Hopefully we get clarification at some point!
So I didn't think about it until you mentioned Rangiku getting sidelined in the last ark, but there's a chance if she becomes prominent in this arc that she has a very bittersweet reunion with Gin .
I got goosebumbs ngl
I will cry so damn hard if they get to see each other!
Only been a fan for about 2 years so can’t quite imagine what it’s like for you but I’m so glad it’s back !

I like The way Kubo treats the children in this sequel compared to Boruto- in that series Kishimoto kinda let all his old characters become irrelevant to make way for the new generation and it required a very unbelievable power creep to happen in order to remove Sasuke and Naruto from relevance. Meanwhile Ichika and Kazui are simply treated as new characters.
In Kishimoto's defense, it wasn't him writing Boruto. Ukyō Kodachi was writing Boruto and Kishimoto just took over last November.
Yeah it's definitely the way to go with a new generation as well, while I think it's safe to say kazui is extremely strong prob 2nd seat officer lvl honestly maybe higher seeing as we have only seen him do anything in base (def not captain level tho) because after all as we know bloodlines do make a difference on power but so does training which is equally more important
@@Zorkii right, and to be fair it has really shown an upturn, especially with all the new characters introduced this year and how much more dynamic they’ve felt. But I think a lot of the damage from the premise is still prominent
@@hiimhunter7649 It almost seems to me like Kazui might have a Spiritual Pressure similar to Aizen the way he just kinda raised it and crushed Juha instantly
@@marccrookedarm5020 what if Kazui actually didn't kill him and instead banished him to hell.....and with that smile it makes it so eerie. I love this kid already.
I have a theory.
Since Kazui can open up portals to Hell. I am inclined to believe that Kazui sent the remnants of Yhwach to the voids of Hell.
It actually makes sense when you think about it.
Guess I picked a good time to start reading/ watching bleach, cuz I just finished the manga last month, and there's already new content!
i finished 2 weeks ago cuz i was dying 4 more bleach content after the end of the fullbring arc (in the anime)
so i read it and heard about a new chapter coming out a few days ago.
You're lucky you didn't have to wait years like us. :p
@@TheSlammurai i knowwww. I have to thank these guys though these new fans are part of the reason for the comeback. Ive followed and been heartbroken time and time again from fake news regarding a return and to see it happen is surreal.
This might be a weird thing to like, but i like how we get a nice amount of timeskips in Bleach's story.
Ichigo's 15 during the first 3, 17 during the next 2, 27 for an extremely brief amount, and now 29.
It might feel weird to jump along like this as a reader, but i definitely prefer this over the silly 10-forever Ash.
I agree, most of us have been reading / watching for a long time and have matured along the way, so it's nice to see the main characters do the same. Plus, like Tommo said, as the arcs progress (and the audience and characters get more mature) the themes and imagery we're given get darker and more complicated. Love it!
Szayel : I'm gonna kill you, Kurosaki Ichigo!
Ichigo : I don't even know who you are!
"I can't wait to put this last chapter on the shelf and just sit back and know the series is complete"- I hope you've got a bigger shelf Mr. Tommo
Makes you think… maybe Yhwach was “good” as he wanted a world where there was no death. Aka no one would be sent down to hell. Also Aizen becoming immortal allows him not to go down to hell.
Yes that's the most fucked up thing I thought after finishing it
Holy Fuck….My whole life (and yours) have ALL been a Lie (for now)
The Quincies turn out to be like angels bringing salvation to men
Aizen: all according to keikaku
Dude I never thought about this...
What I really like about this is that a big criticism of shonen is that it's all about this insane power creep. So what does Kubo do, turn that into a problem, that line about the consequences of all the power they develop.
The parallel between the impalement of the evil hallow in early Bleach and Szayleporro seems to imply that Ukatake now fills the role as some kind of authority in Hell (an authority higher than Szayl). Both the original impalement and the new have oversized weapons and impale in the same exact way. That's straight up a specific job.
The theory that captains become the guardians of hell is a great one, and may mean that original impalement we saw was from an old captain.
@@hecetewest5411 Maybe the next chapter is dead Captains vs. the villains trying to escape Hell
@@DTK625 like the old Hokages returning in the Ninja war arc?

what chapter was the first impalement?
Yeah, I definitely like the idea of Zangetsu’s original “Shikai” form being it’s sealed form and it’d make sense for the dual blades to be it’s released Shikai form. In terms of his Bankai, I’d like for the sword itself to basically be a lightweight version of the black & white blade he used during the EOS along with his Shinigami clothes taking on a form similar to his “Fullbring” Bankai clothes.
I would love all of that. His Fullbring look was one of my favorites. The Royal Guard look was a little too busy. But Fullbring was basically his original Bankai with some added flair it worked really well.
@@seanfall I agree 100% man. The whole aesthetic of that fullbring shinigami look was top notch and honestly I kinda wish Kubo would’ve added on to that design rather than give us what we got after his Royal Palace training. In terms of Tensa Zangetsu I absolutely hated the design at the EOS and like I said I’d be happy if they did a lightweight version more akin to the fullbring Tensa Zangetsu in terms of design, but of course sporting a white&black look
I want to see the hybrid Hollow/Quincy form again. That was really mean. Getsuga Gran Rey Cero was one of my favourite moments.
@@tankadamka with 12 years underneath his belt I’m hoping he’s able to utilize his powers to the same extent that Hikone is able to in CFYOW.
I agree... the giant kitchen knife being the sealed form of Zangetsu also makes sense considering his vast reiatsu that he cannot fully contain.
Imagine though if his bankai is just the sealed form, but with a proper handle lol
Bro I swear Aizen is literally so badass his litteral presence in the world helped keep hell closed. That just insane.
Bleach Fan: “Hurray New Content, a Chapter about Ichigo’s family is going to be Great”
Kubo “Oh, you thought the Trolling was Done….lol PSYCHE!!!!”
I’d like to see Isshin make a return at some point not just as a grandfather to Kazui but also if he’s still doing any soul reaper stuff at all.
They just simply sideline him always just after he has this awesome finger flick moment with aizen
I’m sorry, Kazui is adorable. In a few pages, he’s already so much more likeable than Boruto ever was.
Punk ass Boruto lmao
That isn't much of a feat, but I agree. Kazui seems like a nice kid if a bit creepy since he can send souls to Hell. Though I'm not sure he knows that what he is doing is bad -- he seems good natured and like he thinks he is helping. All of this immediately makes him interesting without seeming overly broken in power scale and grating in personality. Ichika also seems like a likeable character too! Bleach just flexing how much better it has always been on Naruto stuff again without trying! 😅
He seems pretty creepy to me. That memory about the fish at the start was unsettling. It almost made it sound like Kazui is going to end up killing Ichigo.
Kids of anime protagonist never works
plot twist! kazui is the new aizen and ichikka is the new ichigo! 🤓🤓🤓
Unless hell can control its occupants, I can't imagine Unahana, Ukitake and Yamamoto becoming villains. Unahana has the best chance of the 3, but she views the Gotei as almost her children so I can only see her coming back in a light-hearted "playful" manner, maybe seeking Zaraki for some fun. But Yamamoto is too duty bound and built the Gotei 13 so it wouldn't make sense for him to turn on them, and Ukitake is just an overall good guy.
I also hope Szayel kept his original powers as I quite liked them.
I'm really curious how Kubo is gonna handle this arc and where he goes with it. I just hope he doesn't retcon things too much if at all
Ukitakes hiding some darkness man, the whole ginjo miscommunication and how he was monitoring ichigo. Hell could twist and make people more evil if kubo wants.
@@otislloyd-zollinger2579 monitoring Ichigo is common sense since they didn't know much about him. It would have been stupid to just let someone with as much power (some of it being hollow power) and so little training go completely free.
The thing with Ginjo was, as you said, a miscommunication thing that was revealed to be instigated by Tokinada. It's not really evidence of Ukitake's "darkness".
You're definitely right about hell being able to twist minds and hearts if Kubo wants it to. That's one of things I was talking about when saying "Unless hell can control its occupants". Though, maybe I should have said "influence" rather than control.

@@sarthakarora3212 i don't remember that, was it mentioned in the light novels or in the Lost Agent arc?

I doubt those three would turn on soul society

The current system where should society damns their love ones
Is mest up
ichigo and co. Might learn of a new way to maintain the cycle
That could lead to contrast of ideals between the old guard and new
Chiming in back to passing the torch of the soul society arc
Before ichigo couldn't change things but now he's in a position where he can. It's their generations time and they'll find opposition from the conservatives.
That way kubo can maintain our captains personas intact with cannon while providing them a more interesting role consistent with the possible themes of this arc
Bleach has been my favorite manga for years now. This chapter has had me and my brother so excited it was crazy when I finally got to read this.
I didn't catch that Kazui's portal was to hell, I just assumed it was to the Soul Society, nice catch.

An interesting thing about Ichigo and his zanpakuto is that he uses his left hand to attack the ribcage hell hollow and his right to attack the chains. He's switching hands the same way Shunsui does since he's a dual wielder

The Melt should actually be "Meld" as it is a Riichi Mahjong reference. The numbers mean he has a hand made up of sets of three > four >five, three 8s, one > two > three, and then finally two sixes. Meld is when one of the opposing players discards a tile that makes a set for you and you take it, in this case the hollow is a "discarded soul" if you will and is the final six he needs.
Just throwing that out there.

What i like about this concept is that hell seems to be a world by itself
When yhwach was planning to destroy worlds he was going to destroy hueco mundo, world of living and soul society but now i realized hell wasnt mention

My favorite panel is the first one, with his metaphor regarding the 2 fish. I feel it symbolizes Bleach perfectly. An amazing series that was overshadowed by the other series of the big 3. Now that the bigger fish(naruto) died everyone started to see the smaller fish's beauty and thus it continues to grow.
It might be a foreshadowing that Kazuki might become an anti-christ figure and will kill Ichigo (most likely outside of his intention). That's definitely an interesting plot for the cast of Bleach to go up against. I doubt he'll actually kill Ichigo but it could be foreshadowing a potential risk there.
Kube definitely had his fun with the crazy scientists, as he always does
I seriously want the Former Kenpachi and original Gotei 13 to be a part of this arc (as we know for sure that they are alive in Hell),, imagine some of the original Gotei 13 and some former Kenpachi actually turn out to be the main antagonist in this arc
all 9 previous Kenpachi vs Zaraki.
"Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle with be legendary!"
Not every Kenpachi will be there. Like Azashiro is arrested, so no hell for him. But Kuruyashiki and Kiganjo for sure should be there, that is if they did the ritual for them
The new vice captain might be using her nails as a zanpakto
I thought it was more likely to be Hakuda or Hakuda with Kido like Shunko is at first, but it could be that she already has her Zanpakuto in Shikai when we meet her and it then takes the form of sharp nails. She could even have a permanent release type to explain it more too. I find it weird to imagine that her nails could be the sealed Zanpakuto though since we've never seen anything remotely similar to that.
@@CitroChannel true but since they were mainly focusing on her nails I thought that’s her zanpakto and maybe it’s in shikai I’m gonna go back and look at her character and see.
It never showed her with a sword so it’s definitely shikai or a kido technique
FINALLY!! I knew it was not explored enough! Bleach is just forcing me to like it the most.
I kinda hope we get to see Iba do something this arc. He's been around for ages (admittedly as a background character) and we still don't know anything about his shikai apart from its appearance.
ikr. There better be a reason why Kubo decided to make Iba the Captain of the 7th division instead of bringing Love back.
he's a captain now.. at least show us his bankai kubo
@DeeCee a lot of people do because theyre not happy with how he's treated, your comment is pointless.
@DeeCee Thats EXACTLY why we need him to do something, he was quite likable but he never did anything, and now hes a captain, he needs to do something important in this arc.
Hard agree OP! I've always thought Iba had a super cool design and really want to know what his Zanpakuto's name and release command are as well as if the Shikai has any abilities. And his Bankai of course, too! I really liked the loyalty he had for Komamura and the speech he gave to Ikkaku during the FKT Arc made me like him more. Also, I think he's the only Shinigami that we've seen whose sealed sword is a tantō... which is pretty unique. He seems like a cool dude and I dig the Yakuza-esque look he has. The 7th Division has always kind of felt like one that didn't as much respect in the fandom, and I hope now that he is a Captain and has a cool new VC that he gets some focus to help remedy that!
have to say we got more than we expected , I expected a simple chapter about Kazui and ichika
That ending gave me CHILLS. KAZUI AN UNDERTAKER. And he doesnt even know!
Akon finally went outside after 12 years
He really is taking responsibility like he promised. I'm proud of my boy Akon!
He made some good music before becoming Vice Captain.
He gonna touch some grass
Though Syazel finishing Kyouraku's line is pretty sus. I think there will be a significant discrepancy on what actually Kyouraku said and how Syazel finished it. And the one actually narrating the intro can be a significant clue on the overarching storyline in this arc.
Also I think Rindo's Zanpakuto might be origami based.
Can't help feeling like we'll see Kaname with the chain tattoo over his eyes effectively damning him to an eternity of blindness
I bet he'll have aspects of his bug resurreccion form, too--omg talk about eldritch...
Kenny is one of my favorite characters, but I honestly think Kubo did him good on TYBW, and I hope the new arc focuses on other characters that also deserve spotlight.
I agree we have seen enough kempachi, hitsugaya and mayuri time to focus on other characters
I agree, more Vizards, more Isshin, Ryuken and Uryuu please!
they should make bleach around kenpatchi every other character is boring.
@@theliaison4526 kenpachi is as one dimensional as it gets. Outside his monstrous strength and his lust for battle he literally has nothing going on for him
@@jonasfadi8213 I agree with the traits listed. However when ever he pops up in the story you know his fights though one sided they are always interesting to see.
At this point, you have to put respect on Syazelalporro Grants name . He deserves to be Iconic now ,along with Ulquiorra,Starrk ,Herribel,Nel and Grimmjow .
This chapter is my best anime manga moment in like 5 years
Keep the fire allive bromigo !!!
Good job !
I always liked the way Kubo interpreted the demons as Hollows. But the way he drew the real demons of his universe is just insanely good.
❤
I like how you said the channel's about to hit 75k subs, and 20 minutes after the video is uploaded it's already there.
Congratulations! I just started the video but I know it'll be a great experience as always.
I'm just glad to see Shinji's Bangs again.
This has come out a year ago and nothing has come of it. I hope it does continue after the anime finishes up
I really hope that Ichigo still has his dual-wield Shikai.......by far my favorite sword designs in any sort of fiction. Especially the larger blade.
💙
on the Gin and Tosen coming back part, it seems unlikely that they got the ritual, as Renji mentioned that this is the first time (with yama, unohana, and ukitake) he heard of it, implies that Gin and Tosen did not recieve the ritual (or maybe he just missed it somehow, which does not make much sense as he was the vice-captain).
i think the chapter name is N0 breaths from hell. As in Number 0, as Szayel was the original Number 0 before Yammy came to be.
There is no Zero in the japanese text, Like it would be easier to translate if it was a number to begin with amd we will not get this is New or No dillema
Ichigo not knowing Szayel makes that novel not canon.
@@Snzn18 japan just use english in titles and names
Been looking forward to your breakdown since your reaction, It's such a surreal and hype time for bleach after all this time and I appreciate all the content!
extremely nice to get a new bleach chapter. once of my all-time favorite manga/anime.
That first hollow reminded me of the Wonderweiss´ Resurrección and his suppressing ability.
This Video isn't even an hour old and you're already at 75k, congrats man.
I'm so glad you're covering this! Thank you!
It’s not that the Lieutenants couldn’t see the hell hollow. More like they couldn’t sense it and happened to all be facing the wrong way while Ichika was facing the right way. Or at least that’s what I thought was going on
I would like to discuss a theory. I don't know why people are saying the narrator in the first pages of the chapter is Kazui (Ichigo's son) but I don't thinks so. I believe that it was Jushiro Ukatake was the one talking about the two fishes. I might be thinking to much into it, but hear me out.
The two fishes are symbolism to Jushiro's life. The two fishes are representation to Jushiro's life as he was the smaller fish, the weaker one as he was sick as a child, the bigger fish is the Mimihagi.
The bigger fish dying = Mimihagi disappearing from Jushiro's body
The smaller fish getting weaker and getting stronger = Jushior dying and then going to hell to be stronger.
Why do I believe so? Here are my reasons:
1. The fishes, the fishes they were used by BBS in the latest Jushrio that had came out, they are the same kind of fishes. I don't believe it is only a coincidence.
2. Jushiro being sidelined all the manga, As we have learned number of times Kubo doesn't sideline a character just because he doesn't want to deal with it, especially the captains. He always have plans for them. I believe that Kubo had been avoiding Jushiro and hinting him being an antagonist or someone who hides his true goals in the Fulbringer Arc.
I believe that Jushiro has been always waiting to die and going to hell, so he could be brought back with him being stronger without the Mimihagi. He waited until Yhwach because he was the only one to be able to defeat the mimhagi. He has been watching like the fishes that take Kazui to the shrine where he opened the weird gate.
I know it is missed up theory with my ideas are being too random, but it is a concept that I believe Kubo will be taking with this arc.
Idk about him being evil but I agree with the fish narration, I also play bbs so as soon as I started reading i thought it was jushiro and not kazui, plus kazui appears way too innocent to have that kind of thought
@@pacoflores135 I know it too far fetched theory but it is something that has so many connections that I might believe so. I mean in the end Jushiro seemed to shut Szayle’s mouth rather then bringing him back to hell just because it is the right thing. Why didn’t Yamaji or Retsue did it instead.
At this point, Ichigo true bankai is the friends he made along the way
Imagine Yama being the main villain of this new arc
Well he probably running hell for now
@@magictrick5816 Wait -- could Kubo be creating a Bleach origin of Yama/Enma originally being Yama(moto)? O________O
@@murfeel1173 remember what ywach once told him in the manga he used to be the original gotei 13 they massacre people and shit I do believe yama moto running hell at the time of his death
His title is the "Guardian of Hell " ...I'ma just leave this right here.
Your videos as always are top notch and informative. I’ve only ever been able to read the manga on the web but never all the chapters so your videos are always great for me. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this arc entails. Seems like it will be one of the most epic already!!!
Me a Mayuri fan: Please, please talk with granz.
Re. Ichigo's bankai, it was very clearly left on the cutting room floor when Kubo simply did not have enough time to give it time to breathe at the end of the series. Let's hope it makes a grand appearance soon in the Hell arc.
I loved the chapter, it's monumental for the series. I really hope Kubo give us a long arc because there's just so much to explore and expand upon. This was a fantastic set up.
I kinda love Mayuri's new look and how it's based off of a new creature each time, took him long enough to move onto an insect!
What insect is he? I liked the sun-looked Mayuri! Its my fave.
This makes me think he is considering a whole new manga around the kids.
I'm going to give Kazui more credit than most people here and bank on the fact that he is the resolution to this arc and to the series as a whole.
It seems quite deliberate, to me anyways, that he is intended by Kubo to be some sort of prodigy spiritually, even more so than our overpowered main character Ichigo.
From single-handedly stopping Yhwach's return and having control over aspects of Hell (whether his aware of it or not). Apart from this he is also quite apathetic to the world around him while simultaneously being confident of his actions and so will probably be the one to show the cast of Bleach how Hell can be resolved peacefully.
Honestly, I'm looking at Orihime's side of Kazui's genes, cuz IIRC Aizen (or Hachi?) said that her Fullbring powers extend beyond the power of God. She defies reality. And now we see Kazui having some weird ability to turn into as shinigami whenever he wants , and open up portals to Hell whenever he wants. The kid's broken, definitely. He's a walking Ouken all to himself--particularly cuz Ichigo's a top candidate to be the next Soul King. So Kazui might be the next Enma/Yama. O_O
@@murfeel1173 that is an amazing theory!
@@gidgettv1591 agree
I think when Ichika saw the demon/hollow its because it was right in front of her and Ichigo and Renji didn't see it at first because they were turned from it and couldn't sense its spirit energy.
I´m so happy that with the new Arc we are gonna back to your weekly Bleach manga chapter reviews. :D Nostalgia
probably monthly now
I wonder if the “hell forms” of the Espadas that was created in brave souls will be used in this arc. K lab did say the designs were all done by Kubo so I think there’s a chance for them to be Canon.
I dont think so.The ones that we saw are not the "hell forms" it them fusing with the hogyoku.
The 8 espada in the game looks different than the current one in the manga.
@@victoryomorodion2786 ah, so it's more like Aizen's transcendent form then? My bad I got them mixed up
@@OddEyes1 Yes exactly, but it would have been cool if thoose were there hell forms.
when I read "New breaths from hell" I took it personally as a new arc and as bleach is breathing once more and is back from the dead but that's just how i interpreted it
I want to see Ichigos dad. He was always my favorite character. See how he feels about the potential of going to hell when he dies.
Do you think we'll also see Gin and Kaname? They were both Captians
Kisuke Urahara is the warden of hell. He planned everything , made sure Aizen got the hogyoku to set everything in motion LOL
Hmmmm.
Could Orihime's powers turn the damned souls back to how they were before?
Might be able to save the souls that way right?
whooaaaa good one! I hope Kubo gets her to do more with her interesting powers
at this point all souls need to be nerfed heavily to not go to hell anymore
There's something about that final panel of Kazui that heavily reminds me of Hikone (who I really shows up again). That child like innocence but I cant help but feel something deeply sinister about him. Not just in him opening portals to Hell but specifically that last panel. Anyone else feel that?
not the sinister part but def feel he is going to be a key player in this arc as well as Ichika. they are both children of STRONG soul reapers and humans. I can only imagine how Kubo is going to play that. I think it is why he paired them up as Ichihime and Rukenji. I am excited to read more
Yeah Akon did not use his sword, he just used some compound.
Seemed like tech/items (naturally, he's 12 Squad) combined with Kido. Definitely not his Zanpakuto.
Szayel Aporro has always been my fave espada and I'm glad Kubo agrees lol
this is awesome, and really good for you mate, your channel has grown just in time to cover this new arc, good for you
Can't believe I actually get to experience this along with you since I barely watched or read bleach back then. Never thought I'd get this chance, kubo is goated.
I Looove how unique each character’s outfits are. I’m theorizing that when Yamamoto was Captain Commander he was stricter with the dress code, but now that Kyoraku’s the CC he’s letting them go off the rails lol.
Also noticed a lot more white used in the attire, maybe a nod to the enemies they defeated? (Quinces and Arrancars) Or could just be different colors that will be different in colorized images.
No mentions of Chad either ! So my hopes for the next chapter considering you pointed it out aswell , Ichigo’s son looks to be heading into danger. How cool would it be if Chad outta nowhere saves him like how ichigo saved him back in the day. 10/10. 5/5.
in the can't fear series he was a pro boxer so he may have been away when this first occurs. I am sure our lovely Chad will run to Ichigos side and help out
I feel like kubo will make new chapters as soon as the anime finishes since he’s working on it make new scenarios
This has probably been mentioned already, but weeks after reading the chapter, I begin to see how starting with the double fish is really fitting. I think this is talking about the sort of philosophy behind Ukitake's zanpakuto, sogyo no kotowari (roughly translated to the theory of two fish), which is explained in the chapter to be how bad things can turn into good things (and of course, vice versa) - it's an ancient saying actually. This is how Ukitake's shikai works, turning enemy's attacks (bad) into his own (good). This is imo also the main theme of this chapter, repeated a few times:
Big fish dies (bad) --> small fish grows (good)
Gaining power (good) --> going to hell (bad)
Defeating powerful enemies, i.e., Aizen and Yhbach (good) --> hell's gate opens (bad)
So the beginning is fitting in 3 ways: (1) introducing what I believe to be the theme of the chapter; (2) relating to Ukitake's soul funeral festival; (3) a wild guess - since Ukitake can watch from the substitute shinigami badge, maybe the fish are (fragments of) his zankaputo spirit playing with Kazui - I mean, Ukitake cares for kids a lot...
So basically, anybody who’s exceptionally powerful goes to hell, whether they sinned or not. Not sure how I feel about that but we’ll see where this goes from here.
Only when the balance is screwed up, otherwise class 3 and above probably don't even reincarnate.
@@wellsshady they go to hell with the ritual anyway, balance or not, without the ritual, they just fluctuate for the reiatsu density. with lot of strong people in hell and no outside balance/strong people, they could escape hell
I would love to see stark again. His character was wasted, I could imagine lillinette suffering in hell turning stark more into a evil character as wanting revenge on the captain that sent them there
I like how Ichigo looks in the oneshot 12:44 he no longer has a furrow in his brow he just looks carefree & content. Good for him !! 😊
Glad I'm not the only one to consider Gin and Tousen coming back. The possibilities are endless, obviously, but the sheer looming question of what all is in the works just makes me excited! Thank you for the in depth analysis.
If Hell is gonna be involved, "Incantation" better be played in its anime adaptaion.
this hell arc is shaping up to be pretty freaking awesome...
I'm low-vision, and Bleach is on its own list for top favorite anime :P
I love it so much...
I have to say... I am very thankful, appreciative, and overcome with joy that you're not following the trend of saying, "I'm going in to this Blind."
You just simply said first read-through.
Thank you!
I'm a just throw my hat into the ringer of ideas and conspiracies. Imagine a scene in the follow up. Kenpachi is meditating with his Zanpakuto - similar to what Ichigo did when he learned the Final Getsugatensho. He's talking to Yachiru which gives us confirmation that she's the manifestation to his sword. The conversation plays out pretty much like the usual dynamic between the two when suddenly, her attention is taken by something. The presence of a strong Reiatsu is approaching them. There is a faint sense of familiarity to it. Kenpachi hasn't caught on but Yachiru has and is speechless. I would say she gets to see whom it is before he does as the two are talking within what would be his inner world - possibly the streets of Zaraki since that where he's from. Yachiru is stunned because of who the person is and how they look, not answering to none of Kenpachi's banter. He exits his inner world to see what the fuss is about to see standing before him is a Hell altered Unohana and like Yachiru, the man is left speechless...
