  • Last week we explored SSL Certificates - what they are and what they contain. This week we dive a bit deeper and explore how these certificates actually provide security on the Internet.
In this sessions, we'll answer these questions:
    - What are Certificate Signing Requests?
    - How are SSL Certificates used to achieve security?
    - How are SSL Certificates validated?
    - What are Certificate Chains?
    - Can certificates go bad?
    - What do we do if certificates go bad?
As a bonus, we'll also manually walk through a demonstration where we check the certificate revocation status to show you what your web browser does every time it visits an HTTPS website.
All this and more will be covered during my next Live Teaching session from my Practical TLS course:
    Monday 10a PDT / 1p EDT
The training is provided free, as a way to give you a demo of the content of my Practical TLS course.
Rather than try to "sell" you on the course, I want to give you a preview of the quality you can expect, and if you find it aligns with your learning style I encourage you to purchase the full, unabridged course, which also includes labs, bonus content, and a student discussion group where you can ask me questions as you go through the content.
Over the next 4-6 weeks~ I'll be teaching through most of the lessons in the course. To receive an email when a session is scheduled, or to see a recording of previous sessions, register below (free).

Most of the education materials on the net are very boring and keeps you with more questions than answers. With you it's totally the opposite, it keeps me very focused and you answer so many questions "on the fly" at the end of the video we are definitely fed with relevant knowledge... Thank you for all your work!

Ed, im an introvert, and would hate trying to sell something. You need to meet an extrovert friend lol. Ill do my best to advertise on my (very few) channels just how dantastic your training is, and your obvious knowledge of the topic of cryptography. You're an incredible instructor, man.
