I understand this feeling but got to keep your mind on the money. 12 years ago I bought some Pokémon packs from 1998 and didn’t open them I got them for around 22 a piece and I sold them last week for around 350 a piece. Just buy put it in the safe and try to forget you have them lol

As a Vendor At Card Shows and a general lover of hockey, I can’t stress the “Make An Offer” enough! Like Jeff said, if you know your stuff and did your research there’s a great chance that seller will give you 5%-20% off. And yes come back! Last day of big shows is known as “deal day”
I think a good tip is don’t get too greedy! I bought a lot with a joe burrow field level green rc, a Jacob Eason mosaic genesis rc and a few other various Herbert base rc’s for $125 knowing the Eason at the time was selling for $250 and I’d immediately double my money and have good QB rc’s as profit. So I listed the Eason for $250 and got an offer for $200 (would have made my money back and then some) but declined thinking I’d get more. Well since then I haven’t gotten an offer and the card is worth less than $100 now and I still have it lol you learn quick that way 😂
Just recently I was at a local market and scored over 1300 old basketball cards for $10 score of the century. Lots of fleer topps, upperdeck and skybox, even a couple bowmans best 😊
Shit man even if there wasn't anything worthwhile in that lot you could sell the lot for more than that
Let’s make this simple… the best deals are in the off season of any sport. Anyone will tell you this ✅ The market is a cycle buy Football low in early summer and buy Basketball low in early Fall.

Totally agree about keeping only sealed boxes. But the issue is which one should be purchased besides the auto card boxes. That seems to be the only way to do it!

Thanks to you and the sports card investor app. I was able to get a graded Kevin Durant while it was down 28% got it for 78 bucks. While the app has it going for around 100 and earlier this year was up around 150-160. I feel like The knowledge you are giving gave me an idea when to get in and plenty of wiggle room for profits during negotiation. The hunt is more fun to me then the sale though lol

I stopped collecting in the early 90s for various reasons. My cards dated back to the early 60s (when I was a kid) no need to mention I wish I hadn't sold em all. I know I didn't have any 9s or 10s but , I do know those super stars I had would still have plenty of value. Damn it I treasured my Kofax , Mantle , Mays and I swear to God a Pete Rose rookie...all gone now.

There maybe a spike up but nothing like the huge increase of Jordan's cards. I believe Kobe's death was a huge factor in making all sports cards going up at that time.
Thanks for what you do so i'm trying to get a box of chrome black but i've watched the video of yours showing how people Go through the cards and take the good ones out and then result with superglue. Do you know of a rapid wall place where I can find an untampered one?

One tip I have & which I have prospered is: If you have a "buy it now" with more than a hand full of watchers, raise the price a few $$'s. I've sold cards using this strategy multiply times. Sorry, this wasn't a buyer strategy. More of an observant seller move.

He don't talk about the tens of thousands of dollars he has lost in the market the last 6 months or so. If it's steady going down then buying and not selling at the right moment or if that moment hasn't happened then you are only losing money
I’ve found eBay is the absolute worst place to get cards if you want a good deal.. and this is coming from someone who buys on eBay for convenience at times

I got into collecting myself, and doing research I found that apparently for UFC cards SGC (slabs) is the way to go, i was wondering if that was right. Or should i just stick with psa.

The card market has definitely took a dive in the last 6 to 7 months. Only thing really selling is psa silver prizm/holo of a few players. I'm trying to sell everything i have at discount prices. Not going good. Wish it wasn't true, fun while it lasted

@@joemac84 100% after 2010 everything got sleeved upon opening the pack...everything is in pristine condition..these people need to try find vintage cards in good condition what have real condition rarity.
@@joemac84 even if they had a modern /5 card...they make tons of /5 every year so just because that exact card is /5 the player will have 300 cards with the same "rarity"...but they arent rare at all lol

recent comps dont mean shit. if a card sold for $250 3 weeks ago and no one selling that card for less than $3k then that card is worth $3k since you can’t buy that card for $250 no more
