Interesting. My Locticiqn told me that locs usually lock from the back to the front and it makes sense. I have a very curly texture but I have locs in the back nape area of my head that have completely locked. The rest of my head…forget about it lol.

The drop happens year 3 for most I am 5 years loc’d
Takes me two days to retie my locs. None of my locs are the same size and they ALL have their own personality and thing going on. I will always have locs, I love them so much.
You don’t want 500 locs! I had 600 locs cut them off after 4 years and started over now and have 357 and I’m loving my new locs! No long retie sessions!!!
I combed out the mid section of my sisterlocks to make them smaller when I was already 2 years into my journey. Biggest regret ever 😂. Now I’m planning on combining them. Your locs are beautiful !!

I don’t have micro locs (I went with traditional) but I only have 104 and I feel for you. when I retwist my hair, I think to myself 52 would be a nice number lol
And just so you know i like to freeze it in an ice cube try and thaw it out as needed!

Do you use oils?? Or is your moisturizer routine just the rosewater and aloe Vera juice mix? Trying to figure out if I should maybe think about not using oils for a bit

@@SocialSymone I wanted to start doing my own reties. But I’m not sure what rotation my loctition was using. I was going back n forth about using 2 or 3. 2 is easy but 3 seems 🤦🏾♀️.

@@SocialSymone I just made your recipe for flaxseed gel. So excited. I’ve always had a love hate for flaxseed gel bc I would get build up. Do you have any tips?
@@meeikothompson I’m glad you are excited! I am no professional but things that work well for me are to not use too much, just enough to retie or mold hair down. I wash mine out within a week time because I sweat a lot but do keep in mind it is a natural ingredient without preservative. I have had no issues with it building up in my Locs at all but it is something to consider as everyone’s regiment is different. I also store it in the fridge for the 2 or 3 days I retie my Locs. I hope you like it! 🥰
