    We have watched several of the videos in this series, but today, as we were transfixed by this one, it suddenly struck me how incredibly difficult (even with computers) it must be to accumulate, organize & edit all the textual & visual information, to weave it together so seamlessly to tell the story so well.
    All the breathtakingly beautiful images of sky, ocean, Earth, together with high quality 3D animation, and an equally high quality narrative & narration synergistically produce the most
    compelling, interesting, & informative documentaries ever, imho.

    These documentaries are so professionally produced, and so informative! I feel like I'm a kid, exploring and learning about the wide universe for the first time when I watch them. You see, I was taken-in at an early age by "young earth creationist" religious thoughts that simplified Earth's "origins" and "history" into a laughable mythology inherited from the Mesopotamian cultural speculations and traditions. Watching and learning from your documentaries makes me feel like I am catching up on all the things I should have learned decades ago in my life. I never understood, and never will, for that matter, why some religious people feel their faith threatened by science. Science does not contradict it, it should only make their belief more spectacular. I wish some fundamental Christians could work their brains around this concept. But oh well, I guess because I am not religous I cannot think the way those people do.

      Mmm the time I had with the creationists, new agers, shamans, monks, imams, sheiks, ashrams etc was far more interesting, memorable, and ultimately inspiring then my time at...physics class....
      Personally science is bloated with big words to compensate for the idiocy of "REDISCOVERING" stuff
      It's as if gravity didn't exist until newton....
      An archer does what a sniper does without math... And they can still hit the target from range...
      Science has it's uses, but ultimately it just sounds to mechanical... It's not as bad as say, computer languages lol
      It's one of those subject matters that goes out of its way to mimic the language of lawyerese, or corporate speech to hyperinflate it's complexities by requiring "educations" to learn about the world around you.

    I watch creationist videos to see how they try to explain the “history” of the Earth as they presume to describe it. Everything is “we think” and “this could have happened” with no logical connection of cause and effect. Depressing that so many people trust such tripe vs the intellectually synchronized matrix of material processes shown here.

      It always irritates me that they have only one source they always go back to. Its like the old saying: "The napkin religion is the one true religion because it says so right here on this napkin."

    • @robinchesterfield42
      @robinchesterfield42 Před 2 lety +5

      And what's ironic is, the scientific explanation is so much MORE interesting! Creationism: "Everything was always here exactly as it is now, because we say so." Whereas with the scientific story, things are dynamic and change and big huge sweeping overall changes to the whole planet can be caused by even tiny things (see: That Time Oyxgen Almost Killed Everything), and microscopic dots in the ocean, given enough time, can become trees, cats, bugs, people! and anything else in between.
      The story of the universe and Earth doesn't NEED a deity to be a good story. It's "miraculous" enough as it is. :)

    • @ChristopherCudworth
      @ChristopherCudworth Před 2 lety +3

      @Electro_blob 2 this compressed version is in pattern similar to actual earth history yet it is inevitably historically inaccurate. It’s claims are farcical because the supposed global flood never tossed continents around or formed mountains or canyons. Those events clearly took millions of years and we have mounds of absolute and present proof of the processes by which geology and evolution transpire. The creationist supposition is speculative, assumptive and dishonest. It is, to be blunt, a lie.

    • @ChristopherCudworth
      @ChristopherCudworth Před 2 lety +3

      @Electro_blob 2 we know how continents move and can measure the rate to within centimeters. My neighbor works for NASA. That’s his job, tracking continental movement in real time. By contrast the inane claim that floodwaters tossed continents around like bathtub toys is complete nonsense. It’s utter bullshit to be blunt. I’ve read the creationist “literature” on this subject and it is rife with fabrications, conjecture and literalistic lies.

    • @robinchesterfield42
      @robinchesterfield42 Před 2 lety +2

      @Electro_blob 2 Boy are YOU ever on the wrong channel. It always cracks me up how _every single time_, without fail, if there's a science video, SOME would-be preacher will come along and be like "Blasphemy! The Earth is flat and only 6,000 years old! REPENT!"
      ...on the other hand, that tends to only happen on _popular_ science channels, so I guess the fact that you're here is a good sign. Just not in the way you thought.
      But you're still in the wrong place to convert people. :)
