Well if this was a prank, it worked! This is the most entertaining movie I have seen in a long time - and I totally agree about how the hipster kids all totally bought into it! Such a great commentary on the whole art scene. Love it!!

I'm fifteen and I wish this would come out in American theatres. I'm not sure if you would call me little but the movement that Banksy, Zevs, Blek Le Rat, or any other street artist is creating is very enticing to me. In my opinion, words are often spoken louder in images, and I agree in, and love what they have to say.

@kitesurfkit it is! The guy with the big sideburns wanted to amke a documentary about banksy but it didn't work, and so banksy took the material and turned into a documentary about the Filmmaker, and streetart in general. I saw it last sunday at a film festival and it was BRILLIANT!

An interesting detail caught my eyes. When Thierry is in Paris with some of Invader's friend sand they are sitting in some sort of a pub (at about the 8th or the 9th minute), the 'Andre the Giant has a Posse' sticker is on the table! It is just a flash but check it out, really interesting!;)

banksy pulled one on all those hippster who thought they were cool buying art, banksy i hope planned all of it and thats why filmed it to show how the art that he work so hard for, is now meaning less and now that the art is commercialized it is being taken down by this film so that the art would die only to rise again in the underground. a film 4 the arts!

Just finished watching this tonight. I agree with some other reviews claiming "Best Documentary Ever!" and "Best Art Film Ever!" Exit Through the Gift Shop is my favorite movie of 2010. I can guarantee a funnier movie about art will never be made again. It did make me think too, though.

It's already out and showing at some Odeons, but it came out around the 5th
I see most of the comments have been removed besides those critical of Mr. Brainwash. That suggests to me that the film is a mockumentary, the art of Mr. Brainwash is in fact Banksy's work, and the point is that without his name attached to the work, you decide that it sucks. I think Banksy is getting the last laugh. True genius.
